Don't buy here. I…read morecalled about three weeks ago to ask about Pokémon Scarlet & Violet single booster packs and was quoted $8 per pack. That's above MSRP, but still reasonable if you can't find them at retail. Yesterday, before making the 30-minute drive, I called again to confirm prices. I asked about Prismatic Evolutions, Pokémon 151, and Scarlet & Violet. The employee knew some of the prices himself but asked a female coworker to help with and confirm the others. I could clearly hear their conversation over the phone. Between the two of them, they quoted Prismatic Evolutions at $15 per pack, Pokémon 151 at $30 per pack, and Scarlet & Violet at $9 per pack. After confirming the prices, the employee repeated them to me, so I made the drive based on the information they gave me. When I arrived, the Scarlet & Violet packs were marked $12 each. I told them I had literally just called and was quoted $9 per pack. Instead of acknowledging that the wrong price had been given over the phone, the female employee denied that anyone had ever quoted me $9 and even claimed that no one had spoken to me on the phone. That made absolutely no sense since I had called less than 30 minutes earlier, heard the employee ask her for help confirming prices, and then heard the prices they gave me. The extra $3 per pack wasn't even the biggest issue. Mistakes happen. What bothered me was the dishonesty and refusal to simply say, "I'm sorry, we gave you the wrong price over the phone." Instead, they acted like I was making it up. To make things worse, another customer laughed and said, "The price is $12 for you, haha." Whether it was a joke or not, it made the experience even worse. What they don't realize is that if they had simply honored the quoted price--or even admitted the mistake--I was prepared to spend a couple thousand dollars that day on ETBs, booster packs, and singles. Instead, they lost a customer over $3 a pack and the way they handled the situation. It felt like a bait-and-switch. They tell you one price over the phone, charge a different price when you arrive, and then deny ever giving you the original quote or even speaking to you. Customer service and honesty go a long way, and this place showed me exactly how they treat customers. Save yourself the drive, your time, and your money. There are plenty of better card shops that deserve your business.

I was greeted when I walked in, I browsed for a while, they had so many games!! Eventually they checked on me and I told them what I was looking for and they made some recommendations which was nice. I ended up getting one of the recommended games and they were telling me about the game nights and different events they host weekly. Generally a great game store as well as nice staff.

The staff were all very accommodating and did not push for any sales, we shared our interests and it was just a wonderful time overall. There was a lot of options between games, toys, etc. Everything was fairly priced which is hard to find now a days with card games and other similar merchandise. They shared they will be opening another location in Bloomington which I'm very excited for. But the staff and practices are just terrible. I've been here twice. Both times I was in the shop, I spent a good long while searching through their products and sifting through their bulk trading card bins, and the whole time I was in there I overheard the manager(?) being extremely short and rude with multiple customers. Acting like a smug know-it-all, being annoyed that people were trying to sell things to their store, and even swearing at customers who were being normal/polite with him. Just absolutely bizarre behavior. My other massive problem with this place is the pricing on some of their items, and how/what they offer for store credit trade-ins. I've traded in some vintage cards here before, (both times I was in the shop) and even though I had different employees doing the trade-ins each time, they never failed to lowball me like CRAZY. They tried to tell me they could only take one of my cards as "damaged" condition because it had a couple black specs on the front of the card, and some light white wearing around the backside edges. I lightly scraped my fingernail across the black specs and they fell off.. The card was at WORST "moderately played" condition. I understand that these childhood cards from 25 years ago aren't in pristine condition, but they never failed to pretend like they were in the worst possible condition so they could offer me way less. (Mind you, I was wanting store credit, not cash, which benefits them even more..) The pricing on their used singles cards is also insane. I found a random obscure cheap old card I've been searching for, (non first edition version) but it was being sold for $10.. TCG Player and eBay both show that even the first edition version in near mint condition goes for $3.50. I saw another card I was interested in that was being sold for $100. TCG Player and eBay show that in near mint condition it goes for $46. I wasn't going to complain about the $10 card, but I decided to POLITELY ask why the $46 card was being sold for $100, and the rude manager guy overheard me asking and walked over to interject. He said those cards are the owner of the store's cards, he chooses the prices, that's just what he wants to get for them, they cannot change the price. I politely said "Ah, okay. I'll pass on that one then." then finished my transaction and left. I don't understand how stores with extremely rude staff who also literally try to scam people out of their money can stay in business. Just disgusted with my experiences at this place. Even greedy scalpers I've met at trading card conventions aren't charging $100 for a $46 card.

Every time we walk in, we are greeted by welcoming people! The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Comics: The new comics section is great, but other shops do have larger sections. I haven't had an issue getting the books I want. If you sign up for their free subscription plan for new comics you get 10% off! I hope they start keeping back issues at this location. They have had them on special occasions but not like the other locations. Me and my girlfriend love looking through dollar boxes and discount bins when we are looking for new stories to read. If possible, please do more back issues!!! :) Trading Cards: Their trading card section like every other game store is always running low. They carry pretty much all your big games (Pokemon, MTG, One Piece, Lorcana, Yugioh, ect) as well as smaller games. The prices however are all over the place. We have picked up Pokemon and One Piece at retail prices, but sometimes they are over market. They aren't always that way, so I am curious how they price their sealed products. I haven't played MTG in a while and was curious about a bundle they had it seemed a bit high to me, and I looked it up on TCG Player when I got home and it was well over market price. I am not complaining because this is how every store operates nowadays and everybody wants the product! Can't be mad at it. Overall, the store is great and the people are nice. They also have some collectibles and plushies. Toward the back they have a small selection of board games. They have space in the back with tables and chairs for meet-ups and gaming nights. I was greeted by the employee when I entered, and he kindly asked if I was looking for anything and to let him know if I needed any help. I appreciated his acknowledgement, yet hands-off-ness since I was just there to do a little light browsing to get a feel for what was there. (I did almost buy my husband a mug for the upcoming holidays, as it was Critical Role themed and he's a fan of that series.) You could definitely find gifts for friends here. They have Japanese Pokémon booster boxes that you can get or get packs from which is awesome. They also have a ton of the English Pokémon product from a ton of the recent sets that you can get booster boxes or packs from. They have singles and graded cards you can get and the displays are awesome. Tons of different MTG product to pick from. Draft, Set, Collector booster boxes you can get packs from. Tons of different commander decks to pick from as well. Don't know a lot about Disney Lorcana but they had a ton of it here. Big store where they have tables for people to open packs or get some games going. Even have drinks and chips you can buy if you're there for a long time. Overall, this is an awesome trading card store to have in the area and would highly recommend anyone in the area stopping by to check it out and talk with everyone there.
