I though we might as well check out a company who literally has tuckpointing in there name- they must be the experts, right? After going through photos online we felt this was the company for the job and we sent an inquiry. Responses were fast and an appointment was made quickly. When they came to the house his mom was told that they could absolutely tackle the crack but that the brick porch was not a job they felt comfortable taking on due to too many bricks that needed replaced. The price was right in-line with the other estimates I received. A few weeks later, I had the work done. North Coast Masonry arrived early on the scheduled date and finished in a timely manner. Their work looked superb. They also went the extra mile and kept the areas around the house clean, even hosing down the area to keep the dust to a minimum. The Tuesday before the work was to begin on that Saturday, I texted him to see if we were still on for Saturday, he said yes. The Thursday before the job, he reached out to say he couldn't do the job because my concrete pad and sandstone treads may be damaged and could cost an additional $500. So I asked are you not honoring our contract? He then said he wanted to come out and discuss in person. We set a day and time 8am. I waited and he didn't show, so I thought. At 7:57 he had texted me that I stiffed him and the contract was null and void. I asked him if he knocked, as I was home, car in driveway and everything. He still refused the work. I was so disappointed at the treatment from his company. Why would you send out someone to give an estimate that was apparently not qualified to do so. I would rate a zero if it was available.
