This last time I had him refinish the gel coat on my little fiberglass RV that was poorly oxidized and he got it to pop and shine again without having to do a full blown more expensive wet sand. Once I found this place I vowed I would never go anywhere other than Sorensen Marine. Tim is easy to talk to and will take the time to walk you through possible scenarios to whatever may be wrong with you boat. Depending on your ability to fix things yourself you can choose to have him make the repairs or he can give you enough detail to fix the problem yourself and sell you every part you need. I spent 2 hours at his shop and left with not only a fully operational boat but a brain full of tips and know how for other future projects (winterizing, tilt installation, installing a bank battery). He works hard to keep people's boats running efficiently and running for as long as possible. While I don't want to go back to fix any new issues on my boat soon, I look forward to the next time I can talk engines with Tim. He is reliable and dependable and worth every penny. He truly gives me peace of mind after leaving his shop. Thank you Tim.

Even though I do my own work (except for the pressure washing...thanks Brian!), these guys treat me so well that I know I come away saving what would otherwise be heartache and grief anywhere else. This is my second haul out with Delta and I make the trek from Edmonds now because I know I'll be treated squarely, or I should say beyond squarely. Also note that the facility is tops. New tarmac, new yard office, heavy duty electrical service. Just evidence that Delta is doing something right. Their people are positive and busy. There's a hustle is in the air that means business. Everyone from the 24/7/365 security staff to the front office personnel impressed me with their professionalism... not one sour apple in the bunch. I'll sign off now, for fear you might think I'm on the payroll. Three cheers for Delta... and five stars.

What greeted me was Jeff Doyle and his matter of fact professionalism. No games, no surprises. And what a clean yard everywhere I looked. The work I needed done was presented with full explanation as well as several options, all with estimates. Never was I talked down to for not knowing a lot about boats, systems, seacocks, alarms and the like. The work was done swiftly which made their already lowest yard labor rates an ever better bargain. The estimates were all close but high so I never paid as much as I expected to. What I appreciate the most is the perfectionist attitude of this repair yard and how they stand behind all their work and even the parts they order. Sure my boat is old but now it is now perfect. And thanks to Jeff I know a lot more about boats in general. I'm so glad I'm moored near this yard in case I need them again. I had many so called experts tell me they could do the work, many friends' husbands offer but I wanted the quality of Delta (look at their new yachts!) and I wanted it done right the very first time. I'm confident in my boat, this yard and now my future as a boater. THE very best, hands down, as I've never heard anyone talk about a similar experience at any other yard.

After limping into Friday Harbor, I started calling for repairs, only to find out that my propeller is "special". Lucky Me! Right? I had delt with Mary at sound propeller before with a previous boat , and gave her a call after the Dealer failed to call me back promptly. I should have called her first, because after talking with Mary my gut unclenched and I knew it was going to be OK. Sound Propeller was able to secure the prop in the right size, drill it, take it to Kenmore air and have it delivered to the marina right there in Friday Harbor. Mary was also so professional that she followed the process all the way through with just the right amout of communication including after she knew it was delivered to make sure I was taken care of.
