The restrooms are well maintained and clean for usage. The staff is friendly, and this place is definitely worth visiting to take younger kids to play. We visited this location on a Sunday evening and the place was almost full. Like other locations, they do have private party hall and then some common party area with benches and chairs. One other nice thing is you can leave and come back all day long. We choose to grab lunch elsewhere and come back for some more fun. There wasn't much explanation available for gravity ropes or laser tag and I kinda felt like "just there" and while I could figure things out, since I am not in the best physical shape and partially because I coordinated a lot of planning probably, it was a bit overwhelming for me. Since it was my first time with gravity ropes, I was there with two friends the first time around. That's how I learned about gravity ropes, but they are only open Friday through Monday and not on a Wednesday night. I don't remember what the staffer told me Wednesday night, but I tried calling to see if I needed to reserve Gravity Ropes and since I couldn't get through, I figured I would just wait until I got on-site to reserve a time slot. Since my friends were coming later than requested, I had to wait until the last person came in order for me to request a time for our entire group to be together for it. This was all fine. Gravity ropes, you get strapped in safety gear and then you figure out how to go across the obstacles. Some obstacles don't have rope railings and the zip lining has no railings of course (but i didn't realize it was zip lining until I was there lol). but you might hold on to your rope to slide to the other side even if you would get rope burn. Laser tag has a name for the suit you put on so that you know your score but that wasn't apparent and the landscape for the laser tag was eh. Not many places offer laser tag and gravity ropes- but I think I will venture elsewhere on my own. Signs saying if it's your first time for laser tag or gravity ropes at our facility, asking a staffer could be helpful so that staffers don't have to unnecessarily repeat themselves etc. My blue slushie came out fine. They also offer alcoholic slushies here which is a cool option and offers that added party atmosphere and flavor options that some people like myself like. I didn't get one because I didn't want one before doing gravity ropes and my group didn't stay long enough for me to have one as others wanted to go elsewhere. I enjoyed their VR machines but some parts may be not working super good. I heard the food was typical arcade quality bad. Some of the crowd's lack of class here somewhat resemble the apathy and exhaustion from some of the staff that work here. Particularly some of the people who looked like they barely passed for 21. Two of them cut in line for gravity ropes in the middle of my group but they couldn't go on because they didn't get strapped on. A group of girls didn't seem to pay attention to the regular line for signing up for billiards or bowling, and assumed they were there first. I wasn't in a hurry and just let them ahead but I didn't care for the sense of entitlement. Also, It feels like there could be a few more staff on this busy Sat night too. The experience was discombobulating for me and I would only go again w friends if they wanted me to go.

We agreed the Rum Punch was satisfactory. Our lane was ready after an hour and a half. We had to find our server and ask for the bill, again. I'm not sure if by default, but the suggested gratuity ADDED to the bill when the terminal was handed to my best friend was at 22%. My best friend took the gratuity down to 18%. While bowling the birthday person was gone for some time. A discrepancy with the reservation led to the manager being called, which took some discussion to sort out. We had 25 boys plus our coaching staff, and everyone at The Place was welcoming, accommodating, and patient with our group. As caoches, we wanted to give the boys a night away from football where the could compete, laugh, build relationships, and just enjoy being kids. The palace gave us the perfect environment to do that. The boys had an absolute blast, and they ere still talking about the competition afterwards. What meant even more was receiving an email afterwards thelling us that our boys were welcome back anytime and complinenting then on how well they behaved. As coaches trying to develop these young men beyond football, that meant a lot to us. Thank you to Joseph and everyone at the Place for taking care of our team last minute request. Lanes are fast. They really take care to maintain the lanes. Hardly ever any issues with pin resets. Love that you can gage your speed too. On one side of the building can hear the music. The other side is older. Quieter. Calmer side to practice on. It can get crowded on Thursdays so definitely reserve a lane. Just be careful of the children that are bowling too. Their spatial awareness isn't always the best. Also a lot of kids during the school year. Be prepared for erratic activity and sounds. It can really break your concentration sometimes. Overall, though, it is a pretty good place to bowl.

The space that was the casino has been transformed into an arcade/games/ attraction oasis. We made our way to a kiosk to purchase a reusable/reloadable game card so the kids could enjoy a variety of attractions and then we were off! Lucky Snake has an impressive variety of games and attractions suitable for toddlers (though limited for them) up to full grown adults. They also have a roller rink with skate rentals for an additional fee, and a massive water park (it was closed during our late night visit). There was a racing track, mini golf, billiards area, and a massive amount of traditional arcade games, too numerous to name, but I saw skeet ball, traditional pinball machines, basketball/football games, claw machines, and two-person challenge games to name a few. The game card I purchased was for $50 and more than covered their time here. Lucky Snack still has the hotel with folks lined up to check in/out. There wee also places to eat along with rows of snack vending machines, and the bar, still standing from the Showboat days, eagerly awaiting the adult that needed a break from the overstimulation of hundreds of arcade machines and kids in the background ‍. All in all, a great place for families to take their kids, especially on a hot, sunny day to duck the heat and humidity (especially the water park option) and for a wonderful change of pace from the usual boardwalk activities.

The bowling area has (for lack of better phrase) some cheap couches to sit on while you wait for your friends and others to bowl their turn. The place has a pool (billiard) area with a forgettable dull mini arcade next to it. Did not try the food or little bar so I can't give my opinion on it. Complaints related to the actual bowling are that the rental shoes are relatively worn and not comfortable at all so bring your own, and the place doesn't have any ac, just a bunch of ceiling fans so anymore than 20 minutes inside it gets pretty hot and sweaty. The place also does not use digital pads in the alley so take from that what you will. Prices are per game per person, not an hourly rate. 2 people and 2 games with rental shoes cost $28. Not too bad for what you're paying for bowling wise but could definitely improve on some things outside of it being affordable. I'm not a business owner so I can't criticize too much but from a consumer perspective and someone who likes to visit new places frequently, a little new gen renovation and spark would go a long way towards making this alley a go-to spot for more people.
