As a person who experiences anxiety on a regular basis, I actually never felt even a little anxiety throughout the entire process, from my initial consultation, with Wade, to right now. I'll definitely be coming back for another Beetlejuice piece from Wade.

Worst tattoo experience I've ever had…read more My best friend and I came here excited to get tattoos based on a reference photo we provided, and the final result looked nothing like what we asked for. Completely disappointing from the start. It only got worse from there. We reached out multiple times on Instagram to have the work fixed and were either ignored or left on read. When they did respond, it was always some excuse about why they hadn't gotten back to us. At one point, we were told to come in as a walk-in to fix the tattoos. We showed up as instructed, only to be turned away because the artist who did our tattoos wasn't there. Total waste of time. Later, they messaged asking for my phone number, saying "Evan" would contact me. He finally reached out almost three days later, but when I tried to actually schedule an appointment, I was ignored again. No follow-up, no accountability, nothing. The lack of professionalism, communication, and basic customer service is honestly shocking. If you're thinking about getting a tattoo here, don't. Save yourself the frustration, time, and money. Would not recommend to anyone.

A friend and I stopped here a few months ago for walk in piercings. We got them done by Charlie…read moreBrown and both of us where satisfied with our experience and still love our piercings. When we were paying and getting ready to leave he let us know he also did tattoos and to hit him up if we ever wanted some work done. So a bit of time goes by and I hit him up for two small tattoos. There was a lack of professionalism with making an appointment but we made it work. I showed up for our agreed upon time and we briefly went over what I wanted. He printed out things before confirming with me and then seemed annoyed when I wanted something in a different place. For example I got a date on my finger in and wanted dots to mark between the letters....he had them off centered so of course I wanted them centered. He just seemed like he could care less, wanted to bust it out and get paid and get me out the door. I let him know this was my first time getting tattooed. He didn't provide me with any aftercare instructions or anything besides letting me know if I needed a touch up to let him know. Okay cool. So tattoos got done. I left....we're in the healing process and shit isn't healing right. The ones on my neck hardly held any of the ink and I messaged him about that as soon as I started noticing and asked how long I'd need to wait to have it retouched, AGAIN THIS IS MY FIRST TATTOO....his response was literally "let it heal". One message three words.....ok cool. Over a month goes by and I again reach out asking about a touch up. He responds and says "up to you"..... He's very obvious lack of care for the shit work he did pissed me off. So I told him that and of course his tone changed and he was suddenly capable of sending messages with more than 3 words. "I have a lot of messages I didn't see yours" yet you saw then enough to give your bullshit I could care less 3 would replies.....interesting. Once I told him off he of course was saying to come in and he will fix it. You really think I want to let you touch me again when you already fucked up on the work I let you do? Hell no! Overall huge let down and super lame first tattoo experience. I really liked the work I saw on his page and am shocked my tattoos look like shit from him. But what really fucked it off for me was his attitude. Treat your customers better, especially if you want to keep them. Overall the shop seems cool, I can't speak for the other artists there. Wish I had a better experience.

Chimera has been one of the first tattoo studios on The Blvd for as long as I can remember, and…read moreit's success makes absolute sense. Rudy (the owner and artist) is so welcoming, professional, friendly and beyond talented! I went in at first to check out the studio after reading the wonderful ratings on yelp from other reviewers. My visit confirmed what I read. The studio is clean, very cool and customized decor. It's not like most tattoo studios at all, and it has it's own style. The equipment Rudy uses is clean and updated tools. The bed/chair you sit on is comfortable and adjustable which definitely is an overseen important factor when getting tatted (especially for long period of time). Rudy is a family guy and has a very calm energy to him, which is important to me as I wouldn't want someone with bad energy touching me while tattooing. His wife is just as dope as a FNP and also does body contouring and skin tightening at the studio too which was a perfect surprise as my girlfirend who came in during my tattooing was in search for. The combo of a highly skilled and friendly tattoo artist-business owner with a nurse practitioner in the mix made me feel super safe and taken care of. He even asked what kind of music or movie do I want playing while getting tatted which was a nice offer for sure. (I chose Nightmare Before Christmas). I was sooooo excited seeing my tatt that he did, and the after care with the ink sack he put on top of the fresh ink on my back was the first I've seen and experienced. Seriously the best tattoo experience I've ever had (I have several tatts from different places). I DEFINITELY will be back for more with Rudy at Chimera!
