i will never n my life get a tattoo from here... i asked for a small infinity sign tattoo very basic easy... i asked how much he said $60... i said for that lil tattoo he got smart with me.. and said those tattos are usually $80 i can charge u $80 then he just walked away...... like really dude!!!! he could of been been more professional and explained to me why or somethin.... so f**** u dude... i wish i could give a negative rating bc i would give him a negative 10 read more

I've been coming to Bones for years now. His prices are super fair and he's absolutely the best traditional tattoo artist in the area. He's also a great person who goes out of his way to make you comfortable. The entire shop is full of great artists as well. Dan, Miranda, and Charlie are all extremely friendly and price fairly. They have invested a lot into the shop to create a nice, clean, welcoming environment. Seeing negative reviews on here just because someone doesn't care about a shop minimum and wants to haggle someone on their pricing pisses me off. It shows a complete lack of respect for the work the artists do. If you can't afford a tattoo don't get one. The artists have to pay for tattoo supplies, and rent and utilities on the building before they even get to take a dollar home to pay their own bills and feed their families. read more

Went there to to get my ears pierced after a year of them healing from being stitched together (1inch Gauges). Nirel was my piercer and I have to say it was such an amazing experience. Never had any piercings done professionally, always done myself or at hole in the wall jewelry store that messed my piercing up every time by using the piercing gun. Nirel was the complete opposite, she was very friendly, explained everything I needed to no and answered all my questions. Her piercing area was clean and sanitary which is a big plus in my books. I don't think I could've picked a better place to get my first tattoo done. I came in very nervous and quiet, but the team here made me feel right at home. At first I was greeted by Miranda, she is very friendly, she kindly let me know that the artists were busy but I could call later in the afternoon to see if there was an opening (I didn't have an appointment.). I called a few hours later and was told someone was available. When I showed up, I was greeted by a few people and explained what I wanted to get. I had the pleasure of working with Bones; he took my reference photos I brought in and quickly started working on the design. He was very patient with me and made sure I was happy with the style. When working on the placement Miranda came by to see how we were doing, we chatted a bit and she helped calm my nerves. During the tattoo processes Bones kept checking to see how I was doing. He would let me know what was going on and when we were almost done. At the end everyone came by to check out my tattoos and complimented them. My boyfriend also got a tattoo done by Vincent, he was great. We will be coming back in the future. Important things to note: Yes, there is a $60 minimum, every shop has a minimum, no matter the size. - Cash only, not sure if it applies to everyone but they do have a sign. - It's recommended to make an appointment, if possible. read more

I went to get my daith there and the piercer, Nirel was Super professional. She walked me through everything she was doing. Made sure I was comfortable and asked if I had any questions. I have lived most of my life outside of the AV, so I'm very unfamiliar with a lot of the businesses in the area. I had no idea where to go for a my newest tattoo. I had specific requirements on what I wanted and was skeptical that I would find the right artist. I went to 5 other shops in the AV before I came here. Everyone else either didn't seem like they were very confident in doing what I was looking for or weren't very welcoming. It only took a very short time once I walked in this shop until I knew that this was the right place. The owner Dan couldn't get me in right away but coordinated through various texts and conversations with me until the pattern was perfect. He spent the whole day on me alone and now, I have 2 amazing 3/4 sleeve tattoos that wrap onto my chest that I couldn't be more pleased with. I personally think I was undercharged (I went in the following day to give an additional $100 and he refused to take it!) If you're looking for top quality art in a relaxed, welcoming environment with some great personalities, this is the place to go. As to the previous poster complaining about the price for a small, simple tattoo, they likely don't understand that it is common to have shop minimums. You are not only paying for the tattoo but you are also paying for equipment that is not able to be reused due to sterility issues, the creation of templates, etc. I think it's a shame that this individual chose to lash out at some good people just because they couldn't get something for nothing. read more
