After finally getting my schedule, weather and the ride to cooperate my daughter was able to tide. She had an amazing time and Aunty Leolani and the horses were great to get to know and be with. If you are wanting an intimate ride with nature and get away from the commercialized head count group rides this is where you want to go.

Love Lan and all of her babies!! Had the greatest day, hands down! Can't wait to see all of them for my second lesson.

Aloha The most amazing magical ride ever. Leolani is the best! She is perpetuating the horse legacy in the valley. By supporting her business you are supporting the love and dedication she has to keep this legacy going everything she does goes back into the land and her horses. One of the best experiences of my mom and I life memories we will have for a lifetime. Support local and support this horsemanship legacy. Mahalo nui Leolani

There's a reason you see so many 5 Star reviews of Legacy Horsemanship! Kahana Bay is a very special place... when we saw a chance to ride horseback in this beautiful area we took it... and all we can say is "WOW"! Leolani is an awesome teacher and a seasoned guide to this amazing area. Her horses are as gentle as they are beautiful... all together the perfect way to experience a part of Hawaii that we would have never seen otherwise. If you're looking for a once in a lifetime experience, look no further. Skip the tour buses and crowds... contact Legacy Horsemanship and take a magical journey to old Hawaii.

If you ride, go see Leolani. If you dont ride go see, Leolani. If you want to have a once in a lifetime experience. See Leolani. Bring the entire family. This is a must stop! I had the best time with Leolani and all of her horses. She is professional, safe, and a great teacher. I felt like I had known her for years. She is such a greta person and her horses are beyond behaved. Complete heaven on earth.

Leolani has beautiful horses!! I took my friends who were interested in horse riding. I love it that it is more personal than, say, at Kualoa Ranch. More local feeling to it. There are valley and beach options. My friends chose the beach. Kahana Bay was very beautiful with no crowd. It is actually one of my favorite spot on Oahu. It turned out to be a wonderful experience with great pictures!! My friends have never ridden a horse, but they were very comfortable. Her horses were behaving very nice!! Leolani kindly let me ride, too!! I was not dressed properly at all, but anything goes here in Hawaii. Fun is all it matters!! Oh and lastly, Playboy's hug is a MUST have LOL

affectionate and Checking out her Biirthday LEI.

we had an amazing adventure with Leolani and her gorgeous horses for my sister's Birthday . what a Gift! Mahalo !! Kahana Valley and Bay a part of my own island that i drive by but never get to really explore lately.

First of let me say that this is an experience you do not want to miss. Honestly, it is something I will never forget and I'm sure you wouldn't either. Lani is owner of Legacy and offers trail rides and classes with her beautiful horses. Her teachings are direct, patient, and come from her obvious love of her animals. Working with her and Kona (one of the horses) was so much fun and even in a short amount of time you learn so much. The location is in Ahupua'a O Kahana State Park, go into the park and drive straight toward the back and you will see the stables on your right side. Keep in mind cell service comes and goes in this area so take a look at the GPS in advance. Overall, I highly recommend that you come here either on vacation or if you live on island. You won't regret it!! Much mahalos to Lani and Kona for a wonderful morning!

Being out on the beach , in the ocean and on such a beautiful Stallion felt magical !

Leolani is wonderful , the stallions are beautiful . Oceanside strolls and dips into the water was a majestic and wonderful experience . Thank you so much for taking such great care of us and giving us a morning of memories that will last a lifetime .

Definitely channeled my inner cowboy like our tour guide Cierra said to do. Recommend 10/10. Friendly staff and friendly horses. Nicknamed their cat Garfield if he didn't eat. If you wanna ride horses in Hawaii recommend the sunset tour.

This was part 2 of the surf and turf package, and it did not disappoint!…read more This is yet another must do excursion while visiting the island! As mentioned in my other review about their sister property providing the surf ride, these horses are well cared for and are living high on the hog in Hawaii. This family owned business, which is managed by Emily at both properties, definitely takes pride in ownership with their money making herd and it shows with well maintained tack and stock; properly groomed, tacked, and shod horses; clean facilities and grounds; experienced trail guides; etc... This excursion is geared towards beginner riders for the safety of the rider and their stock, but intermediate and advanced riders can stay legged up themselves while on vacation without having to worry about doing the work that goes along with riding! #iykyk But if you're like me, you just want to live life between the ears, so you'll find a way to ride every chance you get! Helmets are non negotiable for insurance reasons, even for seasoned and experienced riders; but, it wasn't a deal breaker for me because it's their house, their rules. Be sure to ask about the surf and turf package if you're like me and one ride isn't enough! The tutorial at the beginning is informative and is explicit, direct instruction for the beginner, but don't be afraid to ask questions or for any help because everyone wants a fun, safe ride, and they're there to do just that! See you down the trail! #FollowTheJourney

This was a good experience. I came here with my boyfriend for his birthday and we did have fun, but…read morethe whole experience also felt kind of awkward. The ATV ride itself was enjoyable. We drove around different trails, got to see nice views and some animals along the way, which was cool. We came about a month after the storms, so the scenery wasn't at its absolute best, but that's totally understandable and not a complaint at all. It is pretty expensive though, around $130 per person, and feeding the animals was an extra $10 for small pellets to feed the cows and goats. The views and experience were still nice, but for the price, we expected the overall service to feel a little more polished. The main thing that stood out was the guides. We had two guides and they were both really quiet and awkward. They didn't really explain much or try to interact with us, which made the vibe feel uncomfortable at times. My boyfriend and I even tried making conversation, but they just weren't very chatty. It honestly felt kind of tense the whole ride. At the end, things got even more awkward because one of the guides basically disappeared without saying goodbye or telling us what to do next. We were just standing there confused with our gear, not knowing where to put anything or whether we were supposed to check out somewhere. The other guide mentioned they had just started working there and wasn't sure what the next steps were either, which is understandable, but it still felt a little unprofessional considering how much the experience cost. Also, when booking, there was a section asking if we were celebrating anything, and I mentioned it was my boyfriend's birthday. We weren't expecting anything free or over-the-top, but it would've been nice if someone had at least acknowledged it since they specifically asked during booking. Overall, the ATV ride and scenery were fun, but the customer service and overall organization definitely could've been better for the price point.
