Ordered through Uber other than getting the wrong cheesecake (superman instead of oreo) was actually a good late night option. I did not get the cheesesteak instead opting for the BOGO burger deal. One of the most disgusting sandwiches I've ever eaten in my life. From the outside, Lefty's Cheesesteaks looks like a colorful adult playground for the blue-collar American. The eclectic airbrushed facade stands out to all who pass by. Inside, the restaurant is seemingly clean and brightly lit. Unfortunately the food is a solid F-. Finding myself in a pinch for time, I decided to quickly grab a sandwich at Lefty's. Luckily it was quick and I received my sandwich in a matter of 2 minutes. The events that unfolded have permanently scarred my palette... I unwrapped my cheesesteak from its modest paper wrapper sealed with a small piece of masking tape. I took a bite and was immediately filled with disgust by the dog food like contents. The meat resembled that of slop. It was chewy and soggy at the same time. The "hot peppers" were beyond acidic. Meh. That sums up this location. The food is edible. The area you should not waste time or money with: The strawberry custard shake. Flavor: imagine the worst, fake, strawberry flavoring with a hint of nothing. Texture: Melted, is apparently how it's served according to the woman sitting in the dinning area who worked there. I ordered online & was instructed to pick up between 5:05-5:10pm- I arrived right on time and as I am walking out & notice the shake is melted & mentioned it, multiple times & both employees present gave zero effort or interest in my complaint. First time I've tried Lefty's. It was fast and decent. The steak was tender and no gristle. The cheese must be melted into the meat I could taste it but you can't really see it. It says there's onions but I couldn't see those either lol either way it tasted good not as good as Jersey Mike's #56 The Big poppa came with pickles and thousand island dressing plus lettuce, they might as well leave the lettuce off, it added nothing to it taste or texture. The Cajun fries were spicy I ate them with ketchup They were fully staffed and very busy take out for dinner. It's newly opened , located in the old Taco Bell building that has been several restaurants that haven't made it. read more

This is a great little place to get a super flavorful sandwich in the Bloomfield hills area. The sandwich was HUGE and had way more meet on it than I had expected it to have. The hoagie roll was soft and yet was supportive enough to be able to handle the amount of meat and cheese that is on these great sandwiches. After the meat and Swiss/American cheese is loaded onto the roll, the southpaw is then topped with cheese sauce and crushed up hot Cheetos. I ordered a 12 piece wing and a cheeseburger. The wings were beyond horrible and someone needs to be retrained on how to cook wings. Start by purchasing real chicken wings and make them and stop ordering the wings from wherever your getting them because the wings on your photos do not match the wings I received at all they were clearly pre cooked wings and warmed up and the mix of the garlic Parmesan on top of that horrible battered wing was simply disgusting and that was a serious let down I took one bite and threw them away a waste of 16 bucks completely!!! This place has some great cheesesteaks! Their sandwiches are tasty and the customer service was also good. The weird thing is that the onions are non-existent. They say the onions are sliced so thin that they literally are unidentifiable in the sandwich, which I believe them. I work nearby and I've already been 3 times since they've been open. Seriously, this place is AMAZEBOOBS! 10000% better than Jersey Mike's. That weird lady who wrote the first review doesn't know what she's talking about. The southpaw with the hot cheetos and multiple cheeses is absolutely fantastic and is definitely my favorite so far. The munchin with michael with the buffalo popcorn chicken was also super good. The corned beef egg rolls with the russian dippins are also super great and I can't get enough of them. They also have Superman cheesecake which is legit to die for. Even though they get crazy busy for lunch, the service has always been super quick and friendly. This is my third time coming to this restaurant and each time I have not been impressed by their food. The first time i had the steak, which has no flavor and couldn't really taste the cheese. It wasn't horrible but I've had better. I then tried the steak and corn beef egg rolls, which had hardly any meat inside. Today, i had the Muchin w/ Michael and Cancun fries and it was terrible , however the Cajun fries were good. The bread was dry and the chicken was dry and hard, i think they fried the popcorn chicken too long. I only ate half of the sandwich and threw the rest out. A buddy of mine took me here because I took him to Big Johns Steak and Onion. We both agreed that Big John's has the superior steak sandwich. If not the best we've ever had. But Lefty's has a far larger selections of options outside of a Cheese Steak. While it's not my favorite cheese steak it's still a good consolation. I got the "muchin w michael" sandwich (which by the way is a super weird name and made me feel odd saying it) and it was super meh. The bread wasn't toasted or buttered so it got smushed and soppy from the buffalo sauce. The popcorn chicken was good, but there wasn't much on it; a number of bites didn't even have chicken in it. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for some dinner and the place was packed! I got the cheese steak and it was without a doubt the best cheesesteak I've ever had. The meat and cheese just melts in your mouth. My GF got the cheeseburger and that was also melt in your mouth good. The curly fries on the side were great! Service was quick and excellent. If you're looking for fast, delicious food with GREAT service, this is the place to go! Everyone is so friendly! The food was cooked to perfection, the burger was juicy and full of flavor, while the cheese steak hoagie was very filling and delicious. Lots to choose from on their menu (we splurged and got the Superman cheesecake and it certainly did NOT disappoint).
