We went to a sand bar and scooped up live sand dollars (carefully) and a huge whelk and whelk eggs. It was a very different tour than last year, but she was so adaptable and obviously knows the area/ is incredibly knowledgeable about the bay, the homes along the water, and all the animals within. You trade out with the slot ahead of you. We did a morning time (cheaper) and couldn't have been happier with the weather! On the way back, the guy stopped while we tried capturing a picture of a nearby dolphin. It's the small things. They do take pictures you can purchase digital for $25. It is hard to get your own due to having to stay seated on the boat. We had some happy 10 year olds and would definitely explore other tours if we return!

We couldn't have asked for a better evening; the weather was beautiful, the company was great, and most importantly, the Captain and crew were absolutely wonderful. We boarded promptly at 5pm. After going over some of the basic safety procedures, we were under way for a relaxing sail into Sarasota Bay. The crew, which consisted of Catherine, was very knowledgeable about the area and the boat we were sailing. The Captain, Kurt, was extremely friendly all the while he was maintaining a safe operation. During our sail, we managed to spot a manatee, several dolphin, a sting ray, and numerous bird life in the bay. I have to say, this part of Florida is just filled with natural beauty between the wildlife and the habitat around it. Although we did not venture too far from the home port, none of us seemed to have a care in the world, and for three hours, any thoughts of the real world melted away. I would highly recommend this sailing charter to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. Actually, I recommend this charter to anyone and everyone. This is truly an experience to remember.

They called at 4:30 and cancelled the 5:30 charter due to rough seas. From the photos below you can tell the sea is "VERY ROUGH". Very disappointed! We feel they had some other problem and lied to us.

Had a great time with Cortez Deep Sea Fishing…read more It was stormy out today so the capt. ran us south and around. May have lost a bit of time but not their fault. First couple stops were finding too many baitfish and not enough keepers so he just kept searching. Found a couple great spots. Lots of Grey snapper, grouper, couple porgies, even a flounder. Red tide going on right now may have had some effect, again not the crews fault. We caught a catfish which had Kevin the deckhand absolutely baffled. Kevin worked his butt off as a deckhand. Can't thank him enough for his tips and tricks and fun attitude. For those that struggle to catch fish...its a you problem. They put you on the fish it's on you to notice the bite and land the fish. We fished for 3 hours and landed 33 fish between 3 of us. Our 4th didn't want to listen to Kevin...he caught 3, and only 1 keeper. Results speak for themselves.
