I had never rented a GEM cart before this trip and WOW that thing was the bomb. It's fast, comfortable, and looks super cool. My fam zipped all around AMI, even when it rained because this bad boy had wipers and a dry storage trunk! We're planning our next trip back in July 2022 and I'm definitely renting from AMI Rentals again. I'm hoping a GEM is available! These guys really went above and beyond to make our rental experience 5 stars (I'd give them six if I could), including delivering the cart to our rental house. We rented a golf cart while on vacation in Anna Maria Island and it was delivered in time and in great shape!

This company was fine IF you really want to rent a golf cart / GEM cart. I would never again rent a cart on Anna Maria Island. We were under the impression that almost everyone on the island had golf carts, but that is not the case. Maybe 5% of the island (or less) had carts. We actually were very uncomfortable driving one around. My 80 year old mom was super uncomfortable riding in the cart with no sides. The speed limit on part of the island was 35mph yet the golf carts only go 25mph. Trucks would run up on you and want to run you over. Driving at night was scary. We had a weekly rental and returned our golf cart after the first day. They "kindly" gave us a refund of only 2 days. Maybe a 50% refund would have been in order. In hindsight, don't rent a golf cart/GEM cart - summer or winter just get car - it's cheaper and will give you much more flexibility. read more

Here are the things that really stood out which made our experience with them an amazing one 1. Top Notch Customer Service: On short notice I was looking around for a specific golf cart to rent. I reached out to several rental businesses on the island but non provided the customer service and experience that AMI Rentals did. I primarily dealt with Josh and he took the time, on his time off, to speak with me on the phone, understand my family's needs and what we wanted to get out of our vacation stay. He was amazing and very personable as well as flexible, accommodating and was determined to make it happen for us. Josh and I communicated both via phone and text, he did not give up until he found the golf cart we were looking for as well as a time to deliver it where we would be able to take advantage of it for the entire day. His prices were excellent as well. 2. Convenience: Everything was done digitally and it only took 5 minutes to book! That was outstanding. I did not have to leave the house to get it done. In addition, AMI Rentals delivers and picks up the golf cart for free! Everything was done as promised and there was constant communication. 3. Communication: From the get go Josh and team kept constant communication with me, whether via phone, text or email. They confirmed each step of the way from delivery to pick up.
