My oral care isn't particularly complicated nor have I had serious issues, so it's focused on cleaning and periodontal care. However. This year; 2026, as many medical offices have done, the business end of the operation has been changed to a corporate billing center. It's a mess. They sent the billing to an insurance carrier we had not used for 2 years. I called this separate billing location about it 3 times; the last time, the nice young woman assured me it was all taken care of but today, after having received another bill (which, along with appointment reminders was sent for some reason to my husband, who is not a patient there but listed as an emergency contact) They sent a request for payment to my husband's phone number, but not to me. I had him send it to me. I followed the link where I was directed to enter my birthdate. Just as it had the previous time, it responded that my birthdate was incorrect. I called the Brier Creek office. Again. Asking the receptionist who answered about my account, I was told that my account shows that we have NO INSURANCE LISTED. WTH. At my last (and I do mean last) appointment, I stood right there and handed the (temp) office person the actual insurance card. I just placed another call to this anonymous bog corporate entity where a bot voice encouraged me to leave a message and they promised ( ! ) to get back to me within 2-3 days. As a dental practice, I've always felt confident in Stansell Dentistry. But the choice of business/ billing services that was chosen to handle the financial end is a mess. I hope that it doesn't ruin her business, because she doesn't deserve that.

They made sure I was comfortable during the appointment and constantly followed up with me after the apt. They are now my permanent dentist.

They even provided me with an estimate for work to be done on 2 of my teeth, split between insurance and me personally. On the evening after the work was done, I received a checkup call from the dentist himself, Dr Meckler.. not automated, and not the front desk.. wow! In all my 40 years of seeing dentists, not one has ever personally followed up. That gesture says a lot about their practice and who they are.
