Very surprised by the negative reviews left on yelp or even the lower star ratings. The place is nicely kept, and every employee I interacted with have been beyond helpful with answering any questions I have and go as far as showing me until I fully grasp the concept. They take very good care of all of my Hondas, and I have 5 of them! You will never find more honest people to touch your car and trust them with it. They also dont burn a hole in my pocket any time I visit unlike some other places. I would recommend anyone that owns a Honda to use this place for service and repairs. Lees Specialties did me a SOLID, I thought I was having computer issues . Everybody else wanted at least $300 to check it, Lees took it in and checked it over and when I got my bill, it was $1.43 , just turned to be a back up fuse. They were awesome and I really appreciate those guys. read more

Very surprised by the negative comments on Yelp. Google reviews show a much better representation of this company. Lee's is the best auto repair shop I've ever been to! The only downside is, I don't think they work on anything other than Hondas, so finding a shop half as good as them to work on my jeep is difficult. At the same time, since their specialty is Hondas they're incredibly knowledgeable about them! The people at Lee's are so honest which is hard to find in this day and age especially in the car repair business. I've been taking my car to them since I bought it, so about 5-6 years now. They've never had my car for longer than a day and most of the time they're done with their work in a little over an hour! Before I knew of Lee's, I used to wait days if not weeks to have a simple repair completed. I had also gone to another company in the past who told me I needed new brake pads and all 4 new tires immediately. When I found Lee's and took my car in, they said I could go at least another year or so before needing the brake pads replaced and only 1 of my tires were bad while all the rest looked great. The most recent time I brought my car in, I told Lee's it was making a loud rattling noise and the old mechanic I knew 100% would've viewed this as an opportunity to make some extra money, but the people at Lee's were honest and told me it was just something stuck underneath my car! Since my car is getting older I have to do frequent oil checks. They offered to take me out and show me exactly where all my fluids were and what I was looking for. In college, I definitely would've needed this type of explanation because I didn't know anything and I was always too afraid to speak up and ask for someone to show me. I love this company and as long as I have Hondas I will forever bring them here and only here!! read more

JD is extremely knowledgeable and will explain to you in detail what's going on with your car. this mechanic is just like the rest... out to take your money. they will literally replace anything in the car, even if it works, to charge you money. my sister had a problem with the car because it kept dying, and this shop replaced her TACHOMETER AND WINDOW SWITCH... these parts were in perfect condition (and don't even correlate to the problem with the car) and i knew something was fishy when she contacted me about what they were going to replace. they said that these parts were "drawing too much power after the car was shut off." now how the hell does the speedometer and tachometer draw power with the car being OFF????? we took the car back and had them to put the old parts back in and took it to another mechanic. turns out the battery was faulty. This place also has a big disrespect for women. i'm a guy and they have an aggressive attitude at the desk mainly with women given that there's a stereotype that "women know nothing about cars" so that they can charge them whatever they want. I had high expectations for Lee's before coming in. I called prior and was scheduled for a week later. I came in and explained the problems i wanted looked at since i asked for a diagnostic because I am mechanically inclined enough to fix smaller issues. I, a female, drive a 1998 Honda Civic manual. I told him it idles high even after replacing everything from the throttle body, the TPS, air intake, and iac. He looked at it... Told me my tires were in the (red zone) i explained that it was the only way to get here considering my wheel was bent and i didn't have a spare so i put two other tires on. He talked over me, told me my car was too far away to be fixed that i would be fixing things for a long time. Then continues to say that he had older Hondas and how great they are but proceeded to say he takes his Honda to HIS mechanic. When i asked where he takes his car he ignored me and continues to mansplain things that I did not ask him to look over. He didnt look over anything that I asked him to and they took oil out of my car, said it was way overfilled. I did not give permission and he said it was free of charge?? I still had to pay the $50 some for the "diagnostic" Worst experience I've had at an auto repair center. read more

I had been a customer, a happy customer at lees for sometime. I really liked how they explained everything, had fair prices, and that safety was a major concern of there's. But my last repair there was an absolute nightmare. Let me start by saying my car is very old, I know that but it's my car it's what I have to work with I can't run out and buy a new one so I'm doing the best I can with what I have. So my brakes failed one morning, had it towed to lees and we discussed that it needed a lot of parts and was going to be pricey. It ended up being 700 bucks but after weighing the options and a long talk with the mechanic I decided to go through with it. I picked the car up two weeks later (had to leave work early because they refused to do a card over the phone due to being charged a fee irritating but whatever) drive the car home is shakes-BAD. Like hard to drive bad. Call them take it back. They drive it and say they need to keep it and keep going on and on and on about the age of the car, which wasn't a problem previously nor was I ever told it might shake uncontrollably. They call me tell me it's the drums and the brakes are really Hot and then go on and on about the front suspension and how it's messed up and making the car shake (it didn't shake before) But they never told me this previously I make a comment about fixing it and he tells me not to it's not worth it and I should only drive this car once a week. Wait what?!? I just did 700 in repairs you know it's my daily driver and now suddenly I shouldn't do anymore work and I should let it sit in my driveway? Pick it up, still shakes and brakes are so hot they smell to high heavens. I cry for like an hour. Take it back next day again after crying over the phone because it was un driveable at which point they begged me to bring it back and let them make it right. They put new drums on call me tell me about how it cost so much and make me feel horrible including leaving a 200 dollar bill in the drivers seat describing all the work they did for free (They only put on new drums). Car was still wrong still shook brakes still hot. Took it somewhere else they adjusted the brakes took less than 30mins and it hasn't shook since and the brakes are fine. I won't be returning and I'm sad about it I liked this place a lot I just got the general impression they didn't want to work on my car because it's older, but my money would be just as green if it was a brand new car. When they started the job they discovered my particular model of Honda required more than twice the time to accomplish. They still charged me the quoted price. Lee's Specialty Shop works on Honda autos. I took my CR-V to a decent dealership first. The dealership wasn't able to find the cause of my electrical gremlin that drained my battery. They thought it was the ignition when they saw me get out of the car WITH KEY IN HAND, with the car beeping, telling me the key was still in the ignition. Dealership said that confused the security system which inadvertently drained the battery. They replaced my ignition & the unable to hold good charge 1 year old battery. Yay!... Until the very next day the key beep & battery drain came back! After 2 visits & no resolution, friends told me about Lee's Specialty Shop, how their work on Hondas & prices were great. They were so right! Searching for the source of the problem was less than $40! Turns out my under dash fuse box had water in it--probably from a clogged sunroof drain that leads water back to the outside world. The electrical gremlin appeared from water & corrosion in the fuse box. That's why it was a hit & miss problem for months. After a lot of money but no fix at the dealership, that's when I went to Lee's Specialty Shop. They did a much more thorough diagnosis & have fantastic prices. Thank you so much to my mechanic Mark at Lee's! He got a used part that was far cheaper than new & my 2011 Honda CR-V is back to being a reliable sweetheart again! After receiving a high quote from another Honda repair shop I called Lee's for a quote on an alternator replacement. I knew this was what I needed to have done because I had just had it inspected. Instead of offering to give me quote or to even look at it, I was questioned in such a manor that it was clear he didn't think a female could possibly know what she was talking about. I asked if he was going to give me the quote and he said thank you for calling and hung up. I am not stupid. I do my homework. I know when I ask for something that is what I need. I had my car serviced at Lee's today. The problem was with the passenger side brake light. After looking at the bulb, which was fine, the technician moved to the next simplest potential problem, the brake lamp sensor. He didn't see anything wrong with it and said he suspected it might be a little loose because this is apparently not uncommon in cars as old as my '92 Prelude. He said he'd try to bend the pins (the electrical contacts) of the sensor a little to make the connection a little more snug. That did the trick! However, after leaving the lot the brake lamp indicator light on the dash came on. I went back and the technician looked at it and found one of the rear windshield brake lamp bulbs was burnt out. He replaced it for free. I've also had major engine work done at Lee's and while such repairs are pricey, they're no pricier at Lee's than they are anywhere else I've taken my car. I point this out because this fact seems lost to some people in their reviews. I would recommend Lee's Specialtee to any reasonable person who doesn't expect to have their mechanic fix all their car's problems very cheaply. read more
