Here's what went wrong: I booked a 10′ truck and showed up to unload three heavy Snap-On toolboxes. The truck had no ramp, something that was never disclosed. A store representative originally granted me a free 24-hour extension to try and get a ramp. Then the store manager erased that free extension from my account, putting me a full day "behind" through no fault of my own. The manager even placed a note in my account stating I should not be allowed to rent or extend the rental in the future. Now I'm faced with returning the truck with my belongings still inside and absolutely no idea what will happen -- extra charges? contract voided? Throughout this ordeal, I received conflicting, aggressive, and unprofessional communication instead of help or consistency. To be clear -- I have paid every day the truck has been in my possession. I'm not refusing payment. I've simply been trying to avoid a confrontation with a manager who acted hostile and vindictive. This location showed a complete lack of integrity and respect for customers. I hope corporate sees this and takes action, but I would never trust Orange Park U-Haul again.

The management here are complete stalkers and though it is a reasonably nice facility, you will find yourself literally being followed around and being lectured about people leaving exterior doors slightly ajar, how you better not have creepy crawlies in your stuff, don't scratch the floors, put the carts exactly where you found them, $1000 fine to use the dumpster and on and on and on. Notes all over the place, don't do this, don't do that. They seem to forget that IT IS JUST AN OVERPRICED WAREHOUSE! Look as customers, we just want in and out as fast and as conveniently as possible. If that is too much to ask, which it obviously is, we are not your customers. For the $1500 a year we pay to rent it, it would be nice to be treated as a customer. I do not need to be stalked when busting my chops moving heavy items. I had intended to keep the unit indefinitely for our business, not now.

Other than driving over the Buckman, obviously. My daughter, her friend, and I were unloading her truck when we saw a guy pass by at the end of the units all quiet like a ninja. I was leaning against the side of my Ford F150, sweating and questioning my life choices. Next thing I know, this gentleman isn't a ninja at all but instead is the new Store Manager of the facility now owned by Securcare and he's bringing us bottles of water. Out of the years my daughter's been renting here, not once has anyone been as friendly as Alex has. We talked for a bit about the planned renovations for the property before he excused himself to assist some other customers. TL;DR Don't let the appearance fool you. The regional manager just apologized, no offer of monetary help. At the time of theft, there WERE NO CAMERAS INSTALLED. The man/men, when caught, will face State of Florida Felony Burglary charges. I found out on a Sunday, and had my kids with me. Secure storage it is not. Bolt cutters will defeat every hard defense there and BOOM, almost out of business No help from the large corporate company, just a sorry. That's how you treat new guests, or anyone actually?
