I have almost 40 year old wrought iron fencing around my property line in an East Lake neighborhood of Yorba Linda. There were nine (9) separate sections ranging from 103" to 217". There were weakened or rusted through anchor points as well as a number of rusted out bottom horizontal bars that were more exposed to water from sprinklers. I anticipated all nine sections needing replacement, my expecting a $7-10K job with wrought iron going at around $35-45 a linear foot. Mr. Lee was called. He came the next day to do an estimate. He said that only one section needed replacement and that all else could be repaired, most of the fencing still quite strong, wrought iron linear foot cost now about $55-75, saving a bundle. Total cost quoted was $1,130. He'd be out the following week after the replacement section was fabricated, which was six days after the estimate. The day of the job he arrived at 0730. He departed near 1100. He showing me each repair he did and the replacement section. Further, my wrought iron gate was sticking, having settled at one end, and he knocked that out, too, it not having been in the work order. (Yes, I tipped to cover that.) Mr. Lee is honest, looks out for the customer as to cost, is timely, very respectful (to a fault), and does quality work. I highly recommend him. read more

I'm not sure this business is still open. I made a phone call and left a detailed message over a month ago and even tried to use the posted email address (which came back undeliverable). Nobody ever returned my call. I've since found another local wrought iron company who immediately returned my call and had exceptional customer service. Perhaps take the website down if no longer in business. read more

Absolutely not !!!! Lee installed my wrought iron fence and gate and rusts started appearing within 2weeks. I notified him. He came over, not announcing his presence and proceeded to paint over the areas. He came and left without my knowledge. Within a week more rusts appeared in other areas, I notified him again. We made an agreement that we need to meet face to face this time and deal with the issues. Appointment was made. I prepared a 2 year warranty agreement document that both of us need to sign to protect us going forward. He refused to sign.He said there's no such thing providing warranty for paints. read more

I am so happy with my iron side gates. I called and texted numerous gate companies, and was shocked at the prices I was quoted. Save your time and precious money and contact Mr Lee. He was prompt to answer my call and we set up a time for him to come by to give me an estimate. He was prompt and even came early I discussed with him what style I wanted. I gave him screen shots of the styles I liked. He gave me suggestions which I appreciated. He is very smart and knows what he is doing. He took measurements and within 10 minutes he was able to give me an estimate complete with drawing. He gave me a 2 or 3 week time frame. This was a custom job, he came back a few days later with color options. They just came today with his helper and installed the side gates. I was over the moon happy with the end result. He said I can call him anytime if I have issues with the gates in the future. He is super reasonable, and does excellent work. He is friendly and kind, and I can't thank him enough ! read more

HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION POSSIBLE!!! I got 8 estimates for a side gate. Mr Lee BY FAR was the best in every category. On top of all that, he is just a good person. He's been doing this for over 20 years. And he's working to support his handicapped son. Best Price On Time Clear communication Very, very friendly High quality and takes great pride in his work Reliable Polite and respectful Irvine fence, OC Iron and vinyl, Hometeam, Kim Iron and all the other companies wanted more money for an inferior product. Many quotes were for a vinyl gate because I thought it would be less expensive but they were actually more expensive than this high quality Metal gate! I had to chase some companies to for their quotes and some didn't even get back to me. 1 company wanted to charge about 2.5x more than Mr Lee for an metal gate. He also informed me about the proper hardware I needed for code since I have a pool. No other company even mentioned it. I spent tons of time shopping around, waiting for sales people (many showed up late), got estimates ( many of those came in late too). Save your time, money and energy and support a good person while doing so. read more

AMAZING IRONSMITH!!!! Mr. Lee is honest, reliable and incredibly skilled!!!!! I was able to make an appointment with Mr. Lee the same day so he can take measurements and go over the scope of work. Scope of work consisted of removal of 2 gates (Old Gate #1 & Old Gate #2) and installation of 2 new wrought iron gates ( New Gate #1 & New Gate #2). Within a couple hours after leaving my house he sent me a drawing of both gates with cost estimates attached to them and discussed in detail the material he would be using. He explained to me that everything he used was American made and galvanized to prevent rust in the future. I hired him immediately and gave him a small deposit to get started. He kept me informed throughout the process and even invited me to his shop so I can take a look at the gates during fabrication. Fabrication and installation took 3-4 weeks from the time I hired him. I had a very pleasant experience working with Mr. Lee. He always answered my calls and replied to my text messages. There's a bit of a language barrier, but you can easily work with Mr. Lee. If he's unable to answer your question via phone or text he'll drive over to your house to better explain. read more

Called Lee's Iron Works to estimate a new side gate. He came on time and his price was very competitive. He let me choose my design and listen to my various questions. My opening was a bit irregular because the top of was narrower than the bottom. Everyone else said they would just leave the gap on the bottom or charge me extra for a piece to cover it. Mr. Lee did it for free. On the day of installation, came on time and gate was installed perfectly. Sometime it's hard to hear Mr. Lee over the phone but that's minor details for a good quality work and good price! read more
