I haven't eaten Lee's Chicken since they left Birmingham many years ago. It was a pleasant surprise to see one in Jasper. First off, the service was super friendly. Particularly, for a fast food drive thru. The restaurant was fully staffed, so even though there was a long line, it moved fast. My food was delivered fast and hot. It did not disappoint...delicious! My son said it was the best biscuit he has ever had. If I'm ever in Jasper again, Lee's Chicken it is. read more

I could just cry penning this review. I hadn't had Lee's famous chicken since I was way younger. All the locations abruptly left Birmingham many years ago. So sad! I would always tell my coworkers who leave in Jasper to bring me some Lee's chicken but , unfortunately, they had yet to do so..... guess they thought I was kidding. I wasn't .... So while heading back from Huntsville, Al , it was imperative to make this nostalgic detour to get some delicious Lee's chicken in Jasper, Al. It was long overdue! I saw angel when I arrived. The drive thru was crowded so I elected to go inside for a number of reasons. ( bathroom break , take photos for yelp and take all the time I needed to place my food order). The inside was clean and the staff was eager to take my order. They were so nice. I didn't have to wait long for my food & it was soooo hot. Time to make the last leg of my trip to Bham! Even once I got home my food was still hot. The chicken was so crispy and just as good as I remember from all those years! I can't forget about the potato wedges and red beans & rice!! Both were exceptional and went well with that good ole fried chicken!!! I throughly enjoyed this meal and I'm already planning another trip to Jasper for some more Lee's chicken!! Yelp! Lee's still got it. Bae and I drove to Jasper to get it. We got the 8 piece special with mashed potatoes and macaroni. I know, we had to add to the greens we had at home. We also got 4 delicious biscuits. We get to the window and is greeted by somebody's super sweet grandma. That's why the food so good, sweetness is in the air. To top it off, everything was in the bag as it should be. Still hot, fresh and delicious after the drive home. This stuff good. Y'all already know, I'll be back. read more

The first thing that caught my eye was the sign Lee's off highway 78 , I thought it was strange this old franchise I thought was extinct, and I thought this could be the last Lees Chicken franchise on earth , so if it survived it must be good , so I tried it out , had a three piece meal with small side of livers , cold slaw , mashed potatoes with gravy and a biscuit , best fried chicken I've had in years light, crispy , well seasoned crust , the meat was juicy , livers were great slaw was great as well , the biscuit was light and fluffy, the only thing I could possibly find wrong was maybe the gravy wasn't terrific just ok . it's directly across the highway from a KFC but what caught my attention was Lee's was packed very busy and KFC looked like it was closed . If you're looking for a delicious fried chicken in Jasper , you gotta try this place , no wonder it's still open , clean , fast service and the chicken is the so so good . Hands down my favorite chicken place in Jasper. Staff is always friendly and the chicken is head and shoulders above KFC. Best chicken tenders around. Their sides in my opinion taste better than KFC. Glad to have Alabama's only Lee's Chicken. Location can be hard to get in and out of at times but the food is worth it. read more

The foods good.. but they do not use gloves which isn't very welcoming to me. They also leave the feathers on the chicken sometimes. but the workers are nice. They clean the floors with a water hose. Incredible chicken. Very tender, southern breaded and fried perfectly. Get the strips already dipped in buffalo sauce if you're brave enough for a heat flavor explosion. The owner and management does not treat there employees right at all did not even pay them on Christmas Day even though they have been getting paid on Thursdays. They also reuse there gravy and BBQ sauce they just sift out what has fell off in them that day and serve green beans and corn on the cob that did not sell the night before they just pull out the sticks on the corn cobs and put new ones in the next day. Just a horrible place to work and to eat at. Once I found out about there practices of food preparation and employee treatment I will never eat there again. Only left one star because I could not write this without giving them a rating. read more

Anytime I visit the south, Lee's is one of the placed I HAVE to eat at. The fried chicken is awesome. But the main thing I go for is the fried chicken livers. They are the best I've had. They always cook them up fresh, so you might have to wait a few minutes. but it's worth the wait. They are cooked to perfection! I also love their potato wedges. I am giving 3 stars instead of 4 because they are such freaking Nazi's when it comes to dipping sauce. Holy moly, with the way they are so stingy with it, you would think those little plastic cups had the cures for cancer, aids, and bad breath all together in delicious liquid form inside them! Not good use to love this place but went today around lunch I got the chicken livers with two sides my daughter got a chicken finger plate and wife had the steak and gravy or whatever and it was unpleasant took literally as I ordered it for it too come out and when we sat down to eat it I already figured the food had already probably been made from earlier just sitting in a warmer, my livers tasted old as did the potato wedges my daughter chicken was all soggy and my wife's wasn't to pleasant as well awful experience my family will not be back read more

Been eating here since I was able to. They have the best chicken and sides in the state, and it's usually served hot. The sweet tea competes with Milos as the best, and the staff have worked there for years. If you're not from Jasper just try it, and it's hard to argue that any other chains are better. read more
