This was my second time coming here last time i went to Ty, i hated the haircut this time i went to some man with tats all on his face and its worse!! my haircut is uneven, he cut my skin , on one side of my hairline the hair is missing and for some reason he kept cutting as if that would fix it, my haircut was blended bad its almost like he only cut the bottom and made it bald, he sprayed me with a whole lot of stuff that just made my hair hard as hell and white! i didn't even notice it was uneven or i was missing hair bc the enhancements smh. Moral of the story make sure you see these barbers work before sitting in their chairs. read more

I was able to call ahead on the same day, walked in, with no wait and got exactly what I wanted at reasonable price. I appreciated the fact that they accepted credit cards (which I'm learning is not common). I don't get anything too crazy...but I do like my hair cut super low. I don't normally write reviews but...this morning Curly gave me the best haircut I've ever had. This is my first time going to Lee's and I'll definitely be back. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and you can tell immediately that everyone there takes a lot of pride in what they do. I'm generally very low maintenance with my haircuts, and today was no exception; it had been several months since my last cut and my hair didn't really have a perceivable style to go off of. We briefly discussed my preferences (short sides, longer top) and then he asked if I wanted a "Spring or Summer cut." I said summer and we were off; with just that little bit of info he did exactly what I wanted and as well as what I even didn't know I wanted. I brought my sons here to get a haircut for the first time. It was a surprisingly stress free and positive experience. As a boy mom, I usually don't take my sons to get haircut's. Scheduled my appointment online and Dr. Lee got back to me within 24hrs. We traveled from Alexandria based on reviews and that they cut toddler's hair - it was my son's first haircut. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Dr. Lee and Aaron, our barber. Aaron set up the booster seat for my son but I ended up holding him on my lap. At first my son was apprehensive and squirmy. (Anyone with a toddler, I advise you to sit with your little one and let the barber put the sanex strip around your neck to show them it's no big deal..). Aaron hooked him up, working quickly and carefully and my son didn't move a muscle. He took care of my beard after. Happy we found Dr. Lee's and we'll be coming back to Aaron for all future cuts and beard trims. This place was great. read more

Lee's is the best barbershop in DC by far! They are open everyday of the year and always accepting walk-ins. I always get serviced, even if it's last minute. There are 10 high performing barbers in total within the shop with their own unique style to choose from, so I had the option to move around and get in where I fit in and find my barber. It's always a clean and family friendly environment. The Barbershop talk is hilarious, they know how to have a good time. I bring my wife in to get her undercut and she loves it, so definitely female friendly. read more

Lee's is a barber shop for black men. Like most black barber shops it also has the token woman stylist, but I can't comment on that except to say she's there. This shop is worth the drive if you don't have a better local option, and its proximity to RFK might make it convenient on your way to a game or some other event. Parking is limited to the street but is readily available. It's clean, well-lit and reasonable prices ($15 for my bald fade on a Saturday) and they even take credit cards. Best of all for me is that they have five barbers so there is little wait and the barber I got didn't waste any time just getting my hair cut and getting me out in 20 minutes. The only downside was that the AC was lacking. It was on and there were fans so it wasn't hot, but it could have been cooler. read more

As a white dude in here, I surely stick out, but they have always been super welcoming and know how to cut straight hair with a really high amount of attention to detail. Most of the barbers are veterans and have been there for over 3 years or more, so that makes it comfortable. New design and friendly people.
