I took a family friend's son to get a fresh cut before his first day of high school. It was important to get his look right before such a big day. I was really impressed with how everyone treated him and took him seriously as a customer. He isn't loud in speaking up for himself but they really made sure to get it right and he was clearly happy with the results. read more

Lee's Barber Shop - Fresh cut for a freshman - Barbers Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

This was my second time coming here last time i went to Ty, i hated the haircut this time i went to some man with tats all on his face and its worse!! my haircut is uneven, he cut my skin , on one side of my hairline the hair is missing and for some reason he kept cutting as if that would fix it, my haircut was blended bad its almost like he only cut the bottom and made it bald, he sprayed me with a whole lot of stuff that just made my hair hard as hell and white! i didn't even notice it was uneven or i was missing hair bc the enhancements smh. Moral of the story make sure you see these barbers work before sitting in their chairs. read more

I will never ever go back to this shop they got me out here on MLK weekend looking like I walked with Martin Luther King And Don King. read more

See all

I was able to call ahead on the same day, walked in, with no wait and got exactly what I wanted at reasonable price. I appreciated the fact that they accepted credit cards (which I'm learning is not common). I don't get anything too crazy...but I do like my hair cut super low. I appreciate that Lee did a few test cuts before just going all in. Will definitely stop back in! read more

Knowledgeable barber, gave me a perfect cut for my hairstyle and worked with me to accommodate the haircut I wanted with what I could get with my hair texture read more

I don't normally write reviews but...this morning Curly gave me the best haircut I've ever had. This is my first time going to Lee's and I'll definitely be back. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and you can tell immediately that everyone there takes a lot of pride in what they do. I'm generally very low maintenance with my haircuts, and today was no exception; it had been several months since my last cut and my hair didn't really have a perceivable style to go off of. We briefly discussed my preferences (short sides, longer top) and then he asked if I wanted a "Spring or Summer cut." I said summer and we were off; with just that little bit of info he did exactly what I wanted and as well as what I even didn't know I wanted. I'm looking forward to making this my regular barbershop! Can't recommend it enough. read more

I brought my sons here to get a haircut for the first time. It was a surprisingly stress free and positive experience. As a boy mom, I usually don't take my sons to get haircut's. Their dad usually handles that, but we were in a bind and I took them To Lee's. Everyone was super friendly and patient with us. The shop was clean and I loved the vibe. My kids felt at ease and the haircuts looked great! I will definitely return with my kids. read more

Great barber shop Curly hooked me up man this barbershop is excellent service can't say enough

I've been going to this barbershop for years. The owner always greets all who enter, making everyone feel welcomed. I've gotten to know several of the barbers over time as well. Mr. Lee's is my spot, and it doesn't hurt that it's in the neighborhood! read more

Scheduled my appointment online and Dr. Lee got back to me within 24hrs. We traveled from Alexandria based on reviews and that they cut toddler's hair - it was my son's first haircut. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Dr. Lee and Aaron, our barber. Aaron set up the booster seat for my son but I ended up holding him on my lap. At first my son was apprehensive and squirmy. (Anyone with a toddler, I advise you to sit with your little one and let the barber put the sanex strip around your neck to show them it's no big deal..). Aaron hooked him up, working quickly and carefully and my son didn't move a muscle. He took care of my beard after. Happy we found Dr. Lee's and we'll be coming back to Aaron for all future cuts and beard trims. This place was great. read more

I have been patronizing this shop since they were on E. Capital Street, we'll over 15 years. Clean, good environment, and very professional; each and every barber! read more

I took my son there. For his. First hair cut. The service was wonderful. They treated his. So nice. He didn't wanna go home

Lee's is a barber shop for black men. Like most black barber shops it also has the token woman stylist, but I can't comment on that except to say she's there. This shop is worth the drive if you don't have a better local option, and its proximity to RFK might make it convenient on your way to a game or some other event. Parking is limited to the street but is readily available. It's clean, well-lit and reasonable prices ($15 for my bald fade on a Saturday) and they even take credit cards. Best of all for me is that they have five barbers so there is little wait and the barber I got didn't waste any time just getting my hair cut and getting me out in 20 minutes. The only downside was that the AC was lacking. It was on and there were fans so it wasn't hot, but it could have been cooler. read more

Lee's is the best barbershop in DC by far! They are open everyday of the year and always accepting walk-ins. I always get serviced, even if it's last minute. There are 10 high performing barbers in total within the shop with their own unique style to choose from, so I had the option to move around and get in where I fit in and find my barber. It's always a clean and family friendly environment. The Barbershop talk is hilarious, they know how to have a good time. I bring my wife in to get her undercut and she loves it, so definitely female friendly. read more

I recently moved to a new part of DC and needed a new barber. I'm happy a friend suggested Lee's Barber Shop. Aaron was timely and gave me a great cut. He's definitely my go-to barber now. And I suggest you stop by Lee's and see my guy Aaron if you need a new barber! read more

My son gets his haircut here. They're always professional! The barbers know exactly what they're doing.

I've been going to Lee's for about two years and have had my hair cut so far by Kieth, Aaron and Ty. All have done a superb job. As a white dude in here, I surely stick out, but they have always been super welcoming and know how to cut straight hair with a really high amount of attention to detail. Seems like lots of parents bring their kids for cuts here and the barbers are always patient, fun and respectful around little ones. read more

Was not please when I call Ty said 15.00 for 55 years and over but 20 if the did the full face trim . Well I don't have a beard and she did not trim my mustache and still charged 20.00. No straight razor use on the edges when lining up. She asked me how did the haircut look I said okay but I knew if I said not it would only get worse I did not give a 1 rating because it was frist time and I believe my last time read more

This shop is always accommodating my needs, I've always been able to set appointments in short periods of time. Most of the barbers are veterans and have been there for over 3 years or more, so that makes it comfortable. New design and friendly people. Recommend to me by a friend 3 years ago and been ever since. read more

I've been going to this barbershop for about 3 years. Never been let down and doubt I ever will be. Cuts on point, Mr.Lee is the man for your plans. Every time I get out the chair I call a shawty cause its just that damn good. When I was booking this recent appointment I told Lee I need that birthday cut and sure 'nough thats what I got. I have a parted fade and was thinking about cutting it but it seem like every time I get a cut my mind change. Best Southeast DC barbers standing behind them clippers. KEEP IT UP!!! Oh yea and the cuts last too, he doesn't hasitate to use the razor, much appreciated read more

I just took my 13 month old son here for his first haircut. Although my son was fighting and he was scared of the clippers, the barber finished his hair and it looks so perfect. Thank you to Mr. Lee who was so kind and welcoming. read more
