THIS IS A CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT. They did allow me to write a check, since I didn't know that before I had my son's hair cut. They did a great job and my son was happy with the cut. There can be a little bit of a wait but there are usually 3 barbers on during busy times. Reasonable prices. Free on street parking. read more

I found my new barber! First time having my hair cut here, and I had the honor of having Lee do the job. I don't know how many barbers I've gone through moving all around the US, but what I can tell you is Lee stands out. He exhibited an unparalleled ATTENTION TO DETAIL, to get it just right. Every move he made was deliberate, careful, and precise. As a first time customer, I appreciated that he didn't just start lopping hair off. And believe me, I'm as picky and annoying as they come. I showed him a picture of my last haircut done by my barber in Los Angeles, and I think he surpassed him (sorry Cheech!). He even took the time to get to know me and remember my name. I was very disappointed after taking months to grow my hair out on top and going in and saying I wanted my hair on the sides to be skin the barber assumed I wanted all the rest of my hair to be cut off as well just make sure you're very very clear or they may screw up your hair as well. read more

I went in to go get my hair cut after growing out my hair for the last 6 months to have a mullet. I ask the barber for a mullet explain that it is Business in the front and a party in the back and specifically tell him not to touch the back of my head. The first thing he does is take a #2 to the back of my head cutting of the last 6 months of planning to have a mullet for Christmas and Bowl season. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a barber shop and would recommend you stay clear of here. read more

I couldn't help noticing the sandwich board sign in front of Lee's Barber Shop advertising their incredibly affordable haircut price as I was driving down the State Avenue hill here in Olympia, but I wondered if I would be pleased with their work. My long in the front pompadour is not long in the front. He 'thinned' the front of my hair to the point where it's is about an inch shorter than the hair directly behind it. Do not recommend for anything more difficult than a buzz cut. read more

I've been going here for years so I was very surprised given how busy this place can get on a Saturday that no one else has ever reviewed it. Glad to be the first. They are located on State St. going down the hill after you go past Ralph's Thriftway. Don't let the busy comment bother you... they have 4 chairs so the wait is minimal. I usually get John to cut my hair because after all these years he knows what I like. I have seen young and old in here getting their usual cut...and why not? Who can beat a GREAT $8 haircut in Olympia? I had a barber who retired years ago so I bounced around to Great this and Super that but when I found this place, my search was over. If John isn't working, which isn't often, I have Lee cut my hair. I get in, get a cut and get out. This place is a gem. read more

I found Lee's Barbershop by accident, being new to the area and not having a haircut for awhile, it was getting pretty shaggy. Dropped off the dog at the Vet and I was heading downtown when I saw the sign for a $10 haircut. When you don't have that much hair, it is hard to pay $35 for a haircut. Of course they were closed that early in the morning. The Vet said we could get the dog early in the afternoon, so I swung by for a haircut, before getting the dog. There was only one person in the place, assuming he is the owner. Best $10 I have spent in a long time. The wife approved of the cut also. read more

I've been going to Lee's for years since they were two block from my previous home. I now drive 15 minutes and past numerous other ships to go to Lee's. You get a hair cut. For $8. That's as simple as it gets. I have no complaints as my needs aren't very fancy. But they make me feel welcome every time I stop in. They all remember what style of cut I like and even ask me about my family. I also take my two sons in there and they are VERY kid friendly. I will continue to go to Lee's when I need a haircut for as long as they are around! read more

Old school barbershop. Haircut and beard trim less than 20 dollars. Cash only which I didn't know. Older barber told me he trusted me and to sit down for the cut. After my haircut he asked if I wanted a beard trim. Not being good at that and looking shaggy I agreed. Two hours later I returned with their money and tip. Great place, great haircut and beard trim. I finally found my old school barbershop in town. So impressed that I took my two boys there for their cuts. Don't let the signs fool you...they are a barbershop. Ample parking on street when they are not busy. read more

Lee's is my favorite haircut joint ever - I've been going there at least five years. Lee and the rest of the guys are super friendly & somehow remember everyone including haircut preferences. Consistent haircuts but I would say John has the best skills. Even when it is busy you are in and out in under 30min. They usually have four chairs going. They seem to be really good with kids too - I have seen parent bring in 4-5 little neighborhood boys at a time. I would pay twice as much and feel like it was a good deal and nice experience. read more
