My 13 year old son and I are new to Washington and needed to find a new barber. After searching through yelp for one, I decided on Cutter's. They were able to schedule my son for a same day appointment. I always get nervous trying out a new barber as my son is a bit picky, and with the added stress of wanting to make sure he felt fresh and confident for his upcoming first day at a new school I was feeling a little extra stressed lol All I can say is thank god I chose Cutter's. My son LOVES his hair. Said it was the best haircut he's ever gotten. I don't know the name of the barber who did his hair (super tall, beefy dude) but THANK YOU!! We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this place! read more

Good value for the money. The atmosphere is chill and the staff are fun and good at cutting hair. I get a relatively simple haircut, but I've never had anything to complain about. Have and would recommend. read more

I've had the best beard trims from Nieko at Cutters. He takes his time and knows what he's doing. I highly recommend him.

The best barbershop in Olympia/Tumwater. I have been going here since the past year. Joe is amazing! He has given me the best haircuts and beard trim. The ambience is very friendly and I recommend this place hands down. read more

I chose Cutter's primarily because of its convenient location and I wanted to keep my business local. I selected barber "Joe" at random and came away with the best haircut I've had in a very long time. And at a very reasonable price. Quite a stroke of luck. read more

I went in because my usual barber shop was fully booked and I needed a quick haircut. I didn't expect this cut to be this good, the guy really listened and followed the directions perfectly. I might switch to here from now on. A little on the expensive end but wonderful cut nonetheless. read more

Had a 11am appointment at this place today and it was my first time. I loved it there! Man I was hearing funny conversations and have tv up and playing and just felt nice. Nice to try something new out! My barber Nieko did good. I'm going there next time. read more

Had an appointment when they close at 6PM. Showed the guy a picture of what I want. He mentioned "I should go to a salon for this cut." I should have listened. Proceeds to give me a haircut nothing like the picture. Ears are now showing, front is wayyyy to short, sides are too short, and basically. It was the obvious the guy wanted to guy home. Even asked if the other lady barber wanted to do it. To the guy who cut my hair that day. Your welcome for tip, but sincerely you fucked me up and you had a picture and all read more

Cutter is super chill and did great on my cut! He understood exactly what i wanted. 100% recommend.

Been goin here since 2014, and I don't plan on changing that. I've seen this company grow from two chairs to three chairs, to two separate shops. There are reasons to its growth. This is a barbershop. I'm always warmly welcomed into the shop on haircut day, and I'm always leaving happy with my haircut. If you want a fade, then come here. It's necessary to recognize that cutting hair is a skill, and even an art. These barbers get better at what they do the more they do it. If at first, you aren't completely happy with your haircut, let it grow out for a couple weeks, and return but with better communication about the haircut you desire. Overall, I'm a huge fan of this barbershop! read more

Accepted a last-second appointment and saved an absolutely dreadful haircut I had gotten somewhere else. Will be coming back in the future.

When going here if you don't want a big difference in hairstyle then be very very very specific with what you want

One of the worst haircuts I've had in my life. When I complained, I was called 'petty and pathetic.' I sat down, the guy barely glanced at the photo. Didn't even look close enough to notice that it was supposed to have bangs, I had to point it out to him. There was a hard part that was supposed to go partially around the crown of my head, like an undercut, but instead, I just have short hair with a line going through it halfway down my head. Another barber tried to fix it, but he had messed it up so bad that she couldn't. Absolutely awful, go somewhere else if you want someone to even LOOK at what you are asking for. After my review, Nieko, a barber who had been in the shop, decided to message me on facebook telling me how "petty and pathetic" I am. He didn't't have anything to do with the situation, nor did he offer a solution. He just decided to stop by and insult me. read more

Walked in with out an appointment. Ryan was able to accommodate me after a short wait. I let Ryan know I was moving to Olympia, From Houston. He was very welcoming and cut my hair as if he'd been my barber for years. I will definitely be a regular customer at Cutter's Barber Shop. read more

Writing on behalf of my husband. After a long and tiring search for great barber and clean cut, he finally stumbled upon Cutter's. Since that day he has never gone anywhere else, unless it's on a Monday or Sunday and he has no other option before work. Every cut every time is on point. The owner, Cutter ( the white guy), is nice and great at what he does. He also has a frenchie named Perry that hangs out at the shop with him, such a cute dog. He loves people and if you sit on the couch Perry will be right there next to you. Cuts are a flat 20, bucks. Don't forget to tip your Barber!! read more

Walk-in only. I was seen quickly and Cutter gave me a smooth and careful fade and beard trim while listening to my expressed desire of keeping all my top length. The shop is clean, there was good music, and you get a very relaxed and cool vibe from it. Absolutely nothing negative to say. read more

As far as the atmosphere goes, 5-stars. The quality of the fade I got: probably the best ever. No frills or anything extra. Just a real good haircut. My only gripe is that this traditional barber shop just doesn't have some of the skills that a salon / Seattle barber shop might be able to offer in terms of layering thinning hair. All in all, it's great and I would go back just for the fade... gotta get them layering skills tho. read more

Awesome place to get a haircut! I went in was greeted and felt very welcomed being there, the shop itself is very nice and clean! When I got my haircut I was very impressed with how much detail was put in my hair! It's place worth checking out, and it's not very expensive either! read more

Kind of bummed... My 10 year old son has been working his tail off at school. His reward was going to a barber shop that does design lines. I work in Oly, but I live in Bonney Lake up north. Knowing that the shop closes at 5 I pulled my kids out of school early on Friday. We parked across the street and as we were about to cross I noticed the open light was off and it was 3:59. My son was pretty bummed and I was pretty frustrated that we drove all that way in traffic and they closed an hour early. The reason I gave this 3 stars is because I have seen the product that comes out of this shop. Also, this was my sons first time at this shop and I should have called and clarified the shop hours. read more

This is a great place. Guy-ey, but not in a toxic masculinity sort of way. Nice guys, attentive, listening to what you want and cutting carefully. I'll be back! read more

First time in for a cut and I'm pretty happy with their service. Everyone is really friendly and you can tell they take the effort to give you quality. Cutter stayed until after close to finish my cut, and I didn't feel like he was trying to rush me out the door. I definitely recommend this place. They also have music and a cute dog to play with while you wait. read more

Maleke is da-Man! He takes pride in sculpting your Do! Quite the artiste! Cutter's great too. They all are. Nice atmosphere and even their French Bull-dog is there to greet you! I didn't have to wait at all for my appointment I called ahead they said come on in, and there was a chair waiting for me! I'm sure it all depends on the time a year, and the time a day, as to whether you can get right into s seat. If not, it's well worth it to wait ! read more

Nikko gave me the best cut of my life. I will make this my home barber. Won't see anyone else after this amazing cut.

Good shop with a reliable staff. They cut everyone's hair, young and old. They are always busy but balance quality cuts and speed.

The staff here is amazing and it's such a comfortable environment for kids and adults!

Came in off the street, hung out with the pug Perry a bit while I waited. Quick great cut by Stephanie.

I dropped into Cutters today, and met Cutter himself. It was 130 and he said he had to take off to pick up his kids from school, but he would be back in an hour. I went and grabbed some lunch, then went back to the shop. I turned around and we were both putting change in the parking meter. I appreciated his promptness and keeping his word. When I we entered the shop I was on the phone; he was patient and waited for me to finish my call. When I was through I sat down in the chair and he took his time and we talked about snowboarding and UFC. He was very personable and professional. Honestly I felt like I had made a friend. Not to mention my hair cut looks outstanding! I would highly recommend this shop. Good atmosphere and great service. read more
