My car wouldn't start this morning so I had call a towing truck service. My least favorite thing to do but gotta do what you gotta do. I was able to set up a time through a call and the person showed up on time. A shout out to Mike for being a good sport and awesome person. Fantastic communication before loading my car. My car was loaded within 20-25 minutes and to the shop it went. I was able to ride with Mike to the shop of my choice. He dropped me off along with the car and road off into the sunset. A few minutes later, I received a call for payment . A simple check out process! I went out about 12-13 miles which cost me $80. Not bad at all! I've spent more money before. I highly recommend this place! Everyone was really nice. Kindness goes a long way. read more

One of the Lee drivers almost ran me off the road about noon today (4/29/24) as I was headed into Durham. I had my left turn signal on and was changing lanes to head to downtown Durham off of 885, and Lee driver suddenly came between me and the car in the far left hand lane, out of nowhere. If I hadn't been watching, he would've run right into the rear of my car. Then they passed, honked crazily, and swerved right in front of me so he could get to 85N. I would never trust my car with somebody that drove like that! read more

I got stuck in a ditch last night due to inclement weather and I called Lees Towing. Needless to say they were helping me in no time even faster than the ETA they gave me and the service was great! Pete did a great job and if I have any more car troubles in the Durham county area I'll for sure be calling them!! Job well done! read more

I was in a pickle after hours and needed to be towed to a service shop. Another company said they would be there in 2 hours! Lee's towing was there in 25 minutes. And they were less expensive than the other company. Thank you!!! read more

Had an unexpected flat tire on I-40. Found out that my auto club membership was unknowingly inactive so had to scramble to find someone to change my tire. The first place I called was Lee's. The young lady who answered the phone was nice, quoted me a price and told me an approximate ETA. Robbie was dispatched. He called me a few times to make contact and get my location. EXTREMELY nice, SUPER helpful and the price wasn't bad. He even followed me up the interstate to make sure everything was okay. I told the people that I work with how great Lee's Towing is. I will be adding Lee's as a contact so if I have a need again I won't need to call around. After this unexpected turn of events, thank you Robbie for making my day so much better!! Fast, professional service. I had no problems at all. Wrecker showed up exactly on time and towed my automobile to the dealership.

Here you are, on Yelp, looking at reviews for towing companies. Your day has probably taken a turn for the worse. I'm happy to report that when this happened to me, Lee's saved the day. I got a flat tire in downtown Durham in the evening. I tried and failed to get the spare on myself, and Paul was down to help in 15 minutes. (Actually, he *apologized* that it would take that long, because he was just towing someone else. No problem, dude!) He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, fast, and cared about my situation and personal safety. I hope that Lee's can help you out in a tough spot, as they did for me. read more

I accidentally drove my car into a deep ditch when I tried to turn around in a driveway on a busy street. When I called Lee Towing the receptionist was clear and precise. The truck arrived and carefully removed my car making certain not to damage anything. I was very pleased with the service! read more

My car stalled out a second time in one week, only this time, I couldn't get the engine to turn again to poke my way to a mechanic. Stranded in a parking lot, I called AAA. From the time I finished my call to the time I was picked up, it was an hour (though I was quoted 30 minutes). I do think the bulk of my wait was probably AAA's fault and not Lee's. He phoned as he was en route for us, and arrived within fifteen minutes of that call. Expertly hitched up my car. Then we saddled in beside him, and he towed the car the short 1.5 miles to a shop. He sent a couple of texts during the commute... that's a no-no -- especially when you've got my precious baby strapped to your back! read more

Lee's 24 Hour Towing - Towing Near Me - Durham, North Carolina

These folks saved the day for me! I was picking my son up from camp and my car wouldn't start. Tried to charge the battery and it wouldn't take so we called them to tow it 1 hour home. When the guy showed up he asked what was wrong and offered to try again to charge the battery. It worked! He was charging from his truck versus a handheld charger and he said that made the difference. What a relief! He saved me time, money and a big headache. On top of that he was super nice and reassuring. I was a bit stressed and his friendly and caring demeanor was calming. I really appreciated him! Thank you so much. Highly recommend!! read more

Had a few items I was saving in my old pick-up to carry to the dump. My clutch went out right in front of the dump and had to call a tow truck. Called Lee's, right across the street from my preferred auto repair shop. Jimmy ,Lee's tow driver, showed up and and offered to tow my truck through the dump to get rid of my items before taking it to the repair shop, what a nice guy. He towed my truck to get repaired and had no problem helping me with my disposable items. Can't say enough good about Lee's Towing. Good guys you can trust, Thank you Lee's Towing, if I ever need a tow I know who to call. read more

It had been a terrible week to start and stalling on the side of the road made it no better. Ugly crying and not knowing what to do, my friend called Lee's Towing for me and within 10 minutes he had met us, towed my car to a Near by auto shop and literally just turned my week back into a positive state. I needed my car towed from my home to my mechanic. The man who took my call and the tow driver, Ray, were polite and efficient. Lee's took my call, dispatched a tow truck, arrived, got payment, loaded and safely delivered my car to its destination in only 1 hr & 10 min - start to finish. Payment with a card was easy and I was able to get my receipt by email, my preference. Should I have the need I'd call on Lee's again. Thanks Lees 24 Hour Towing. read more

Best service ever. I'd rather pay for this service than wait for AAA for free. I wish I could give them more than five stars. Highly recommend . Amy Davenport read more

I was recommended to Lee's by my car dealership. They helped me diagnose the problem of my car not starting & went over pricing all while on the phone. The tow truck was out to my Apartment in 10mins. Paul was friendly and helped further with potential problems of my car just on his knowledge of vehicles. What he was diagnosing was on par with what the dealership was saying so he knew what he was talking about. Luckily we were going in the same direction. He realized my car would potentially stop on me and followed behind. Sure enough my car went out on the freeway, but I was able to make it off the next exit and onto the exit ramp. He then went ahead and helped me tow my car to the dealership. From my 30-45min experience with Lee's; I would recommend them if you need Towing Service! read more

This is the first review I have ever written! I have to say they deserve more than five stars."Mike specifically" was a true blessing! I am in Knoxville Tennessee. My daughter took a trip to Virginia to visit friends with her 3 year old daughter and 6 week old daughter. She had a flat tire near Durham. I obviously couldn't get to her! Mike not only changed her tire but helped arrange a hotel for them for the night. He was a true God send! If this is the kindness this company is made of they deserve more than five stars! I'd like to add I called another company "Blalocks" before calling Lee's they actually told me that they couldn't help her! If you need help near or far! Lee's will be there for you. read more

I did a quick search when the starter in my wife's car quit and needed to be towed from my office to the dealer. Lee's had good reviews and from this experience those are warranted without a doubt. This was on a Sunday and Rob was quick to respond, professional, competent, and I would definitely recommend using Lee's in the Raleigh/Durham area. read more

My truck's battery died and I needed a jump. Luckily I was at home. My roadside assistance wouldn't send a truck until Monday. The guy from Lee's was here in 20 minutes and helped me get my truck started so I could get it to a place for a new battery. The guy was surprised that I still had the factory battery. Very friendly and told me I probably needed to replace my battery. Thanks for the help and going above and beyond on the call!! I'll definitely put your number in my phone for the future!! read more

I highly recommend Lee's 24 Hour Towing. The front wheel barring went bad on my car so I needed to be towed home. I called AAA and within 15 min Lee, the actual owner, had come to my rescue. Rob was awesome! My truck's alternator failed leaving a garage in downtown Durham and Rob with Lee's Towing came out within 15 minutes and towed me to a local garage for fixing. I am from Charlotte and needed to get back so he recommended a place that was great and open on Saturday. He also took us to a nearby hotel so we wouldn't be stranded in Durham. So, since the posting of my original review, this issue has been resolved thanks to the owner of Lee's Towing. My husband and I are very happy with the way it was handled which was done in a professional and friendly way. We appreciate the way he reached out to us to apologize and correct the situation which does say a lot for him as an owner and the business he is running. Thank you. read more

On our way back to Raleigh from Hillsborough, my car got a horrible flat tire on the side of 85. We were down to the rim and on a hill. The jack that came with the car just was not cutting it and kept slipping. I ended up just googling towing companies and luckily saw Lee's. They sent out a guy almost immediately at 10:00 at night. I believe his last name was Funes. He took care of the car quickly and professionally. I could not have asked for a better experience. What really sealed the deal for me was when he followed us for a few miles to make sure that everything was working correctly and we didn't have any issues. I highly recommend this company. read more

Last Saturday at 10:00pm, I had a tire blow out while driving on the highway and needed the spare to be put on the car. After calling no fewer than 8 other, companies I found that most were willing to come tow the vehicle but would not offer any type of roadside assistance (the others informed me that they were not working that late, would come in an hour or were on vacation). I finally got in touch with Lee's, after an hour of being stuck. Austin said he would be happy to come and would arrive in about 20 minutes. He got there in 10 and changed the tire quickly. He was very personable and pleasant to interact with, which was refreshing given my level of aggravation under the circumstances. I highly recommend them and will request their assistance for any future mishaps. read more

I never thought my first Yelp review would be for a towing company, but these guys are amazing. Ignoring the pending snowstorm, I ventured out in my not-for-winter car and promptly got stuck. I called Lee's 24 Hour Towing, and the dispatcher--who by then had probably fielded dozens of calls from idiots like me--was incredibly polite and helpful. He couldn't give me an exact ETA since the roads and traffic were so bad, but said the driver would call when he was on his way. The drivers (who turned out to be Lee and his son, Robby) got there faster than I thought possible and had my car hooked up in 5 minutes flat. They were both extremely nice and very professional. Despite the heavy snow, the horrible road conditions, and the traffic, Lee expertly navigated me and my car safely home. The pricing was very reasonable and the service was exceptional. Lee also did one of the nicest things I've ever witnessed, which made me even happier to have given him my business. I highly recommend Lee Towing - they earned every one of those five stars! read more

Courteous, quick, and professional, with drivers who know the area well. A good phone number to have on your cell for when time gets tough.

Thank goodness for Lee's Towing!! I recommend them 1000%. I've, unfortunately, had to use Lee's 4 times in the past couple of months-- 1 flat tire and 3 breakdowns-- but each time my experience and their customer service has been absolutely satisfying. I am a AAA member, and got connected to Lee's through that service. All of the employees of Lee's that I have interacted with have been extremely helpful and kind. Each time they have arrived in an understandable amount of time, 30-50min., and took care of my problem in less than 5 minutes each time (no joke!). I have been given roadside assistance by an employee named Rob multiple times who particularly went out of his way each time to make sure my car and myself got to the places we needed to go! I never expected to have such a pleasant experience with a towing company! read more

My car skidded off the road and police called Lee's towing. This happened on Friday evening 5.00 pm and we called the garage immediately to get out car. Lee's towing person said that they are closed at 5.00pm Friday evening and asked to call back next day (Saturday) to see if they can release the vehicle. When I called early next morning, Lee's person responded that they don't have anyone to release the vehicle from garage as they are short handed (total scam, the garage is next door). When I went on Monday to pick my vehicle, they charged 160$ for towing (5miles) and charged additional $145 for storage charges. I thought as if I was being ripped off & was being scammed. I contacted them on Friday evening (5.00pm) and also Saturday morning. Lee's people were there in office and the garage is next door, but they still refused to let my vehicle out to me. My Car was towed on Friday evening, still I was charged full Friday storage charge!! The same thing for following Monday, they charged full day storage charges. These guys are ripoffs, unethical and from beginning they wanted not let my vehicle out over weekend, so that they can charge me 4 days storage. I highly recommend people to be very careful when dealing with these ripoffs.... read more

Lee's did their job just fine, and they were reasonably timely (only 10 min late on agreed time). But the man on the phone was a little short with me, and wanted me to drive out to the vehicle and call him again instead of just meeting him there at a specified time. Not great customer care. Then the trucker overcharged me. They charge $85 + $4/mile, and he took the 14 mile route instead of the direct 8 mile route. He said he can't take a route with stoplights, which I know is not true since I just had it towed through a stoplight-heavy route. Overall, completely adequate service with unpleasant personal interactions and a slight ($30) overcharge. **If you go with Lee's, calculate the miles to be towed and require they charge you only for your desired route route. Be prepared to call their bluff that they need to take major highways only.** read more

My car ignition went out, so I looked around and called these folks. They answered their phone right away and had a truck in less than an hour. Embarrassingly, while trying to roll my car back into a space at the dealer's lot, I lodged my car on the curb. Thankfully the driver thought to make sure my car was in the right spot before heading off. He helped me hoist my car off the curb and into its space. And the cost was exactly as advertised. read more

My experience with Lee's Towing is only by happen-chance but it's about as good as I can think of. I was driving on I-85 west of Durham enroute from VA to SC in a moving truck when my truck began showing signs of apparent distress while going up inclines (it was slowing to about 35mph). I pulled over, put out hazard triangles, and began calling roadside assistance when a gentleman pulled over in a sedan and asked me what was wrong. I shared what happened, and he took a look at my truck, then told me that he owned owned a towing company in Durham and that the nearest Penske dealer was only a few miles down the road. After ensuring me I should be okay driving it a few miles, he called ahead to Penske to let them know to expect me, then followed me almost all the way to the shop to ensure I was okay. He even called me while driving behind me to make sure it was driving alright. When I asked him for his name, he said it was Lee and that his company was called Lee's Towing. After finding the Penske dealer and getting a fuel filter changed within 20 minutes, I was back on the road (and ultimately still made it to my destination on time). I received a call about 30 minutes later, and it was...you guessed it...the owner calling to follow up and make sure I had been properly taken care of. This was clearly not something he ever had to do, especially when there was no money in it for him. I was amazed at his genuine humanity towards a perfect stranger like myself. He went above and beyond anything someone in my situation would've reasonably expected to receive from a passerby. If he and his company treat their customers anything like they treated me - which I have every reason to expect - then I recommend them without hesitation. Your character comes through when someone is in need and there isn't really much of anything in it for you to help them, but you do it anyway. read more
