We met Dr. Davis when my first daughter was a newborn in the hospital. She set us up an appointment in her office a couple of days later which I thought was normal. I did not care for her office or her bedside manner when dealing with my child. The last straw was when she called in a medicine that she knew my daughter was allergic to, and she argued with the pharmacist about it to the point where the pharmacist said " you need a new doctor". My first visit last march for my younger child was good and scheduled an appointment for my older boy for July. When I arrived the office was closed and other businesses on the floor said they were on vacation! Left a voicemail for them and never received a call back. That being said I'm all about second chances. Wish I wasn't after today's visit. Our appointment for my younger boy was at 10:30. The PA did measurements and vitals then showed us to the exam room. After a half hour of waiting for the doctor I asked the receptionist if the doctor would be in soon. I was then informed that dr. Davis wasn't even in the office yet! A small office shared with her husband with some very shady looking patients that looked catatonic. I asked if I could use the restroom and was shown to a small restroom. I did my business in there and another "patient" used the facility after me. The doctor showed up over an hour late and spent a total of 5 minutes with my child. On our way out the PA had the nerve to ask me if next time I could use the outside bathroom as if I damaged or ruined their crummy little restroom. She said "I have to clean that mess". I made no mess. I was also shown to that bathroom which wasn't clean when I entered and was in the same shape when I left. Poor girl had to clean a bathroom of 20 square feet. That should be done every day anyway. My next visit will be to pick up my child's medical records and tell them in person what I think. If there is a better forum for medical reviews out there I will find it and use it. Don't take your precious children to this insane asylum of a medical practice. read more

Let me preface with, identifying a pediatrician for your first born child is a nerve wrecking experience. I requested a consultation with Dr. Davis because she came highly recommended. For any first time parents out there, I feel like I need to share my experience because it was just disturbing. She is the Chief of Pediatrics at Kent Hospital, this impressed me. This is where the positive aspects seemed to stop. She shares a basement office with her husband who is also a doctor- he is an Internist. When we walked into the office my first observations included a dirty waiting area filled with three elderly men (his patients)who appeared to either be ill, sleeping or just plain out of it. Wall paper was peeling off the walls, there was an old stain of some kind on the cloth chair that was available for my seat. I was eventually greeted by one of the two receptionists after being disregarded by the other. We waited briefly and were then ushered into an exam room to wait for the doctor. In the exam room there were old laminated posters on the walls. SOme of them falling down as they only had one push pin holding up a corner. The sink was filthy with something brownish red and to top it off there was a file cabinet in the exam room with us filled with patient files that were not covered or locked but simply sitting there...hello HIPPA?????? We spoke with the doctor briefly and did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling (Believe me, it would have had to take an extremely warm and fuzzy feeling to get me to stay there longer than five minutes).\\ She may be brilliant and highly qualified but she seems to lack awareness of the fact that this was the last environment I would be willing to bring my newborn to...ecspecially when sick. read more

When my boyfriend and I first met Dr. Davis it was in the hospital after I had given birth. She was very to the point and quick. To be honest I had thought about switching pediatricians after our encounters in the hospital. We brought our baby for his week check up after we left the hospital and our opinions of Dr. Davis had completely changed. During our first visit at her office she sat us down and asked how we were doing as new parents. In fact every visit I go to with her she always takes the time to sit my boyfriend and I down and ask how we are doing, if we have any questions or concerns, and how our bonding is going with the baby. Her office may be a little outdated but her staff is excellent. Everyone there remembers all of our names and go above and beyond whenever we need anything. 5 stars for dr Davis and her wonderful caring staff! read more

Don't waste your time going here. You will wait over half an hour for an examination that isn't even thorough, you will leave unsatisfied like you wasted your time, and if you have questions they will likely be unanswered or disregarded. The doctor is okay, but it's her office environment and staff that were the last straw. I had been thinking of getting a new pediatrician for the past couple of years due to amongst other things, unkempt office environment and bad record keeping. I have had the same insurance for more than 8 years, but a couple of years ago received a bill for about $400-$600 (that was already 2 years past due) because they said I didn't have insurance. I had to call their billing office to give them my insurance information and get this straightened out. They had billed the insurance company for all other visits (before and after). I think someone misplaced the paperwork for a couple of years. I wonder what they do with medical records! They also couldn't find my daughter's records last year (2011) after we had been going there for 7+ years (new computer system they said) so we re-filled all the information and went for the appointment in Dec 2011. Great! This year (2012) called to set up an appointment and again, they could not find my daughter's information (new computer system they said). That was the last straw and after a heated exchange with her most unprofessional staff (the younger one, not the older one who always wears what looks like halloween makeup) the doctor was history! Secondly during the 2011 visit, the doctor had to give my daughter a shot that had been checked off in her chart as already given. They somehow realized they actually hadn't given it to her. They had planned to, they checked it off, but they never administered the shot when they said they had because I couldn't make the appointment that day (shot had been scheduled for Dec 2009). Had they already checked it off in her chart before we even showed up? I'm not even sure whether we are still in the realm of shoddy record-keeping at this point. Point is, doctor is good, but if you don't want your child getting 2 injections when he should be getting 1, or getting none when he needs that MMR shot, stay away because no one is keeping the records! I use to see her growing up and i absolutely hated her. I was very tall for my age and because my entire family is over weight, she would constantly tell me im fat. Not that I needed to be healthier, but FAT! I spent years trying to lose the weight she said i needed to and eventually developed an eating disorder and stopped eating all together. when i was finally old enough to make my mom change my doctor, 18 years old, he said that i was extremely underweight and that being 5'7 i was suppose to weigh between 130-150. I weighed 110 and she still said that i was obese. She is absolutely horrible!!! read more

The girls in the office are amazing! The doctor is only there for a paycheck ! I've been going there for almost three years and she can't ever remember my kids names. She's ALWAYS late. She's all around horrible!!!!!! The last straw was today when she forgot she have my one year old shots last week and almost re vaccinated her! read more

my son would receive better care from a homeless person. shes unprofessional and does not even try to soothe or talk to my child. her office is unorganized and dirty just plain gross. and 98 percent of the time she doesn't know what she is talking about i practically told her what was wrong with my son every time. i did not know they gave licenses out of cereal boxes. regret i did not change doctors sooner. and my toddler just started working and had a bruise 1 bruise no other incident ever and she involved dcyf and wasted a lot of my time and patience. i immediately called the next day and requested to be removed from her patient list.
