Poor Communication: The biggest issue I encountered was the lack of accessible customer support. There's no option to speak with anyone by phone, which made resolving issues incredibly frustrating. All communication happens through email or a chat feature that only provides what appear to be prewritten, templated responses. It feels impersonal and doesn't address specific concerns adequately. Quality vs. Cost: The cleaning job I received simply wasn't worth what I paid. For the price point Spruce charges, I expected a much more thorough service. I was left disappointed with the results. Inflexible Resolution: When I reached out to support about my concerns and requested some form of refund given the subpar service, they were completely unwilling to work with me. Instead of offering a partial refund or any meaningful remedy, they only provided a $20 credit toward future services. This feels inadequate, especially when the trust in the service has already been broken. I understand that issues can happen, but a company's response to those issues says a lot about how they value their customers. Unfortunately, Spruce's rigid policies and poor communication channels left me feeling unheard and undervalued as a customer.

She was very unprofessional and rude how she started a conversation with my husband about the payment. When Jose was done, I offered to pay by check and he said his boss prefers Zelle. And then my husband gave him a very generous tip before leaving. It was later in the evening and we had an engagement to get to (and I had not received the invoice yet) so we left the house. Approximately 2-3 hours later Elena sent a very rude text message demanding payment. We will definitely never call them again for window cleaning. I'm a business owner myself and would never treat customers (especially first time customers) so poorly. A simple friendly reminder text would have avoided all the tension.
