It takes a lot to get under my skin, but Saskatoon Landscape & Garden Centre did. I was basically…read morebullied into accepting a delivery early or be charged a second fee to be delivered another day. We went to the above business on Friday June 21st to get 3 yards of dirt and have it delivered. Great, the clerk said they could deliver on Saturday, but we were busy, she then told us the next day was Monday. We said Monday would be fine only if it was in the afternoon as Gale was not going to be around in the morning. The clerk said sure and even put it on the bill. FFWD to Monday 9am, I get a call saying they were on the way to deliver the dirt, I told them it wasnt supposed to be delivered until the afternoon because Gale wasn't home to open the gate. Driver said he couldn't this afternoon. I told him I could not open the gate. He said he could tomorrow, great no problem I thought tomorrow it is. 5 minutes later I get a call from Michelle at Saskatoon Landscape & Garden Centre telling me that if I don't take the dirt today I would be charge another delivery fee tomorrow. I explained to her that we asked for afternoon delivery for a reason, she said they don't guarantee a time, I explained to her her clerk even put PM on the bill. She again said we would be charged for a second delivery. I said fine but I am not happy. Delivery guy gets here and I ask if he thinks he could help with the gate....he said he could and he managed to snap the crossboard. Yes it was old yes it needed replacing but if Gale were here that would not of happened or Gale would have snapped it. Now the fence no longer closes tight because I was bullied into them coming early. The dirt was not able to be delivered into the back yard and is now sitting in my front yard. I contacted Michelle today and sent her pics but she said she was sorry you weren't happy but the driver was being kind blah blah blah their policy is to charge blah blah blah. I guess bullying customers to accept an early delivery by threatening to charge them again is Saskatoon Landscape & Garden Centre's best business standard. This whole thing could have been avoided if they would have just delivered that dam dirt when they said they would in the afternoon. Oh and the smudge on the receipt is my blood from the dam broken fence! So needless to say Saskatoon Landscape & Garden Centre will never see us as customers again and we would never recommend them to anyone.
