Note that they don't have any wooden (Brio/Thomas) trains in stock, though they did have some O gauge Thomas train sets. Since I didn't have a list of things I needed, I was most just browsing. The owner was very pleasant as I rattled off a list of one-off items and helped me locate what I was looking for. We discussed custom runs for a bit, as well as the the future of the hobby. He clearly knew his stuff, and watching him assist some new modelers with simple, direct answers without an up-sell attached was refreshing. There is a dearth of good full-service hobby shops these days, and yet this one manages to rise above. I highly recommend it.

The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, kind and compassionate, and truly an ally to anyone who shops in her store, regardless of belief systems or lifestyle. She is principled and operates from a place of acceptance and love, and speaks out against bullying and hate. You can feel all of this from the vibes in the store and the items she carries.
