I heard good things about this restaurant. They had advertised a special, General Tso's Chicken. I was driving by so I would give it a try. Restaurant appeared clean and well organized. I did a carry out ... the bag had some heft to it. A nice touch was that the rice was packaged separately. This food was delicious. The soup is a lil different from what I am accustomed to, but it was delicious, it had just enough spice. Fried dumpling is one of my favorite and they were so good. The criteria for Chinese food is their fried rice this has fried rice they throw soy sauce on mix it up and call it fried rice it's white, food was mediocre. I'm from New York, this food is lousy. You take the inside very little seasoning no taste. read more

Quick service and good food. Both wonton and egg drop soups were good. I had the cashew chicken which was tasty and the chicken was NOT dried out - always a plus! My husband had the General Tso and it was a great lunch combo portion - just enough for him and I took half of mine home. Would definitely come again. read more

I have no clue how they could possibly be real. Highly suspicious. We have been coming to Lee's for about four years now, many times, and it has always been really good. Today, for my birthday, we ordered over $100 worth off the menu and it seemed even better than ever. As always, they got the order 100% right! Huge shrimp in the shrimp with lobster sauce , fantastic meaty ribs, incredibly good shrimp egg rolls, fantastic pork fried rice with huge chunks of pork, fabulous fried crispy/tender dumplings, chicken lo mein, general tso chicken... every dish was great. It is basically a to-go place, there are seats available for eating there but the atmosphere is not geared towards eat-in. We will be back.....again and again and again. read more

I've seen a Chinese person eating here so two years later I stopped in. The food here is so bad, unhealthy and greasy. Had the pork lomain with won ton soup and steamed rice. Had trouble finding any pork. Just one greasy, fatty, sugary meal. Ladies came in and ordered egg rolls, sweet sour soup and orange chicken. We've gotten take-out from there twice after hearing good reviews from friends. The first time lived up to our expectations: I had mu shu pork, which was delicious. My wife liked her chicken chow mein. The egg rolls were crispy and perhaps the best we've had here in The Villages. Our second experience was the opposite: I got subgum wonton soup that tasted like it had (unwanted) curry in it. Curry isn't supposed to be in it, so I'd wager that that was sloppiness in the kitchen with a reused utensil. Strangely, my wife's favorite, shrimp with lobster sauce, was not listed as a combo meal as it is in virtually every other Chinese restaurant. She ordered it as a separate dish and didn't care for it. Worst of all, I felt like I had a hangover not long afterwards (no, I wasn't drinking). I'm convinced that it was something in the food. We won't be back; we'll return to the Sunrise Chinese Take-Out which was great and never had an issue. read more

Friendly staff here who produce moderately priced Asian style food fairly quickly and accurately. After ten orders from both sides of the menu I haven't found anything five star or one star yet. My husband and I try different entrees and appetizers every time, hoping to find a favorite. The one benefit we keep returning for is Lee's doesn't pack their lunches and dinners in styrofoam containers, but uses recyclable hard plastic or waxed cardboard boxes instead, which we hope add fewer chemicals to our meals. Some entrees are a bit different than you'll find at similar restaurants. The sweet and sour shrimp, for example, comes in a waxed bag and contains no individual shrimp, just pairs of shrimp "donuts" that consist mainly of greasy dough with a couple of skimpy sized shrimp hidden deep inside. We certainly wouldn't order that again. Neither would I order anything with sesame in the name because Lee's just sprinkles a few raw sesame seeds on the top of the entree and pronounces whatever it is to be sesame. Technically correct but not pleasant. Lunches do not include an egg roll, just a can of soda or a choice of hot salty soup, which isn't usually appealing in this climate. Fried rice is okay but overwhelmingly dominates the meal because the size of entree is not generous. That said, we have found most entrees to have been cooked using fresh ingredients. Only a couple of times have we been subjected to tough pieces of chicken or off tasting pork. Sides and appetizers vary in quality. We do like Lee's egg rolls, particularly the shrimp variety, but aren't that keen on the crab Rangoon, which we found to be somewhat tough and greasy. Overall, Lee's produces meals that are somewhat better than most Asian fare to be found in The Villages area, but of course that's not high praise. Nonetheless, we'll keep trying to find a favorite meal here, at least for a while longer. read more

We used to enjoy Lee's but unfortunately of late it seems like they are cutting corners. This is reflected in the quality of their dishes. Last night I ordered a pork noodle dish. No pork and a slice or two of carrots; just noodles. Sorry to say we will be going elsewhere. read more

This is our new "go to" for Chinese takeout. We really enjoy the egg rolls, the hot and sour soup, and the egg drop soup. The spare ribs are big and juicy and tender. We've had a bunch of other stuff from the menu and enjoyed it all. Nice folks too! read more

Both my father and I got food poisoning from this place. He got it from the gravy on the egg foo young and I got it from the sesame kitchen. It look fairly unsanitary inside The food was still good. But ruined both of our nights. It is a hole in a wall and usually hole in the walls are the place. But stay away from this one. Curious if they'd pass an inspection. read more

Ordered takeout for lunch, hot and sour soup and crab rangoon. Hot and sour soup had tons of mushrooms and tofu. Not typical hot and sour soup but delicious just the same. The crab rangoon was not greasy. They were filled nicely and very crisp. We will definitely try for dinner sometime. I hope they are successful. read more
