A great electrician and a wonderful person: I called Lee's Assembly Required and Mr. Lee came out the same day. In fact within hours of the call. I had a few jobs for him during my appointment, and everything got done quickly and efficiently. 1, Check and outside light with no power. *He checked the light and found a potential wire fire for the cause of the light failure. He completed that light and ensured the two others were correctly wired and working. 2. Check the ceiling fan that stopped working. *He found that the switch was bad and the fan had died. He replaced the ceiling fan with another and in it's placed installed a light. The entire time he was telling me what he was doing and why. He was kind, well-spoken, and great as his craft. He is now my new electrician and I plan on using him more in the future. He charged me a very fair charge. His rates are justified, Compared to some other quotes I received, he had better rates and the extraordinary personality was absolutely free. read more

The guy was over an hour late and wanted to charge an extra $65 to go a couple of blocks to Home Depot and get a transformer that was needed to install the doorbell and chime. What electrician doesn't have a doorbell transformer? He didn't want to do the work; he tried to leave as soon as he detected a problem; the guy grudgingly offered to go buy a transformer for an extra hour of pay. Don't even get me started on the helper who just stood there doing nothing. read more

Update 8/24/2017- I called Stephen to ask him about interior door installation. He came and got my doors and had the doors I wanted cut for me at a super reasonable price. He had the doors back to me a full four days earlier than expected. As usual great work. Thank you Stephen, for your stellar service! Previous review: I was extremely happy with the service I received from Lee's Assembly Required. He gave me a fair price to install a 240 outlet in my rental, as well as giving me guidance on some other repairs I was doing. The advice was free! Stephen and his son showed up promptly, even with the short notice I gave. I really appreciated that. I also really liked that he talked to me like a normal person. I highly recommend Stephen's services and will me recommending him to my mother in addition to the community of Yelp. Thanks guys! read more

There was a little misunderstanding on when the appointment was. He had forgot about it but came out to do the work on a Sunday. Supposedly, there is a weekend premium charge but since he forgot about the appointment, he didn't charge me for the weekend premium. Overall, he finished the job and all is well and he also let me know that there were other potential problems that could arise in the future if they are not corrected now. read more

Great workmanship. Very friendly and honest. Trusting to get the job done correctly! read more

Mr . Lee is a Pro when it came to my electrical dilemma. It was a bit of a mystery but, from his experience made the problem become right again. We did this whole thing over our cell phones. He kept in touch to ensure to keep me updated. We didn't even have to meet face to face but, still he handled it like a pro. The cost of labor/part is good as his service. I will recommend him to all my neighbors. Thanks Mr. Lee! read more

Stephen did a great job installing my ring camera system. I had an electrical issue with one of my fixtures that was being replaced with a ring floodlight camera and Stephen didn't price gauge me to fix it. His prices are very reasonable after getting quotes from other guys. read more

Such a great contractor. He quoted us the best price we could find and was very honest with a few issues we needed fixed and how much it could and may potentially cost. He installed some Ring flood light cameras for us and fixed a small electrical issue. He was a very friendly and such fast worker. Overall I will definitely be using him again for a few other projects I need done. read more

Mr Lee did some work on our home and did a very thorough job. Professional and clean throughout the day. He kept us updated on the process as we went along. Would use him again for any future electrical jobs and would highly recommend Lee's Assembly Required. read more

Sadly, the only time Lee's was worth 5 stars was the first time. Subsequently, he either couldn't fit me in, sent an associate instead, or didn't even call back. I think he was going after bigger jobs. Anyway, I have found an electrician who is more reliable and less flaky. read more

I own a 90-year old home and as any old-home owner knows, that means many generations of changes, upgrades, and good, bad, and ugly DIY patches are a part of the package. One day, the lights and exhaust fan in my bathroom just stopped working. Mr. Lee came out and did a thorough, expert assessment of the house's wiring and breaker panels (and antique fuse box). He quickly and efficiently tested all the switches, fixtures, and outlets in the bathroom. He was able to identify the location of the problem in no time. It turns out, it was, indeed one of those old DIY junction boxes in the attic needed to be cleaned up. He fixed it like a boss! His prices were extremely reasonable and I felt confident having such a detail-oriented, experienced professional doing the work. He is also a general contractor and I would hire him in a minute to do more work at my home. I couldn't be more pleased. Additionally --and Stockton residents will relate -- I was pleased to hire a local person who did not walk into my home making snide remarks about how "scary" Stockton is. Hire this man, early and often. You'll be glad you did. read more

If I had to say anything about "Lee's Assembly Required" I would say, stringent. I had just had major surgery, and my thermostat had broken in 90 degree weather. Finances very tight I tried to install a new one myself. Up and down from bed to seat feverishly for 12 hours I hooked all the 4 wires in there prospective places. I flipped the breakers only to find that I needed a new switch. I HAD to call for help. They quoted me $210 min. They fixed the breakers, and the thermostat. When I asked where I went wrong on the thermostat, he said I needed to move the red wire over one space to the RC space. REALLY!!! He said that $85 for knowledge, because the manufacture doesn't put that in the manual. A- for alacrity F- for compassion. I guess knowledge is power. Final bill $210 :( O read more

This is worth 10 stars!!! I have had many electricians come and go with the work never getting done correctly. My onsite laundry room had a melt down. The dryers stop working due to electrical/breaker box issues. The building is old and i thought I would never find a TRUE qualified electrician. Mr. Lee came out and quickly accessed the situation. He understood what was going on with the panels. Gave me excellent advice for preventative maintenance. Did not take advantage of me because I am a woman. Got me up and running I manage a lot of properties and I will continue to hire Mr. Lee. His work ethics is extremely awesome. You just don't see this level of professionalism and skills in one package. read more

Mr. Lee was extremely professional and timely in his responses. My family had a problem with our AC and he fixed it immediately. Great pricing and honest work. read more

I decided to use this company due to the positive reviews, but after my negative experience, I truly believe the reviews are from friends or family of Mr. Lee. First appt Mr. Lee never showed up and when I contacted him, he said he was still at another job site and forgot to call me. When he finally made it out to my house, he gave me a quote of $570 and justified his price by telling me the job will take all day. Well, Mr. Lee came with his assistant and rushed thru the work and took only 1 hr to do the job. Usually I'm happy with the swift work but Mr. Lee conned me to accept his high estimate by telling me the job will take him all day to complete. He also had me pay the full price upfront before starting on the work which I now understand why. And to make matters worse, his assistant used my restroom, did a #2, stunk up my place so I ended up with a crappy experience overall. read more

I called Stephen up for a Nest thermostat installation and I was not only impressed by the amount of time and effort he is willing to provide to his customers but most importantly with his honesty. After a couple of text message and phone call exchanges, he did his research and honestly told me that my current system is not compatible with the Nest. Other people I called just wanted to take my money even though they wont be able to install the Nest. Thank you, Stephen! read more

My husband called Mr. Lee today (11-10-17) to ask a question about the correct AMPs and appropriate extension cord for a leaf vacuum. He found Mr. Lee by performing a Google search for "electrician" and Mr. Lee's name was in the #1 spot on Yelp for "Top 10 Electricians." Mr. Lee was very professional and easy to talk to about our concerns with picking the correct extension cord for the leaf vacuum. He took the time to answer my husband's questions at no charge. We told Mr. Lee if we need any other electrical services for our home he would be the first electrician we call. Mr. Lee gets 5-Stars on this one!!! Thank you Mr. Lee. read more

We purchased two Nest thermostats for our two-story house. My husband and I followed the directions and assumed it would be a typical and easy install. We turned on our thermostats, set the temp, and left the house for a few hours only to return to a sauna! Fortunately, it had cooled enough outside that opening the windows helped cool the house a few degrees. The next day my husband spend 2 hours on the phone with a Nest technician who was unable to diagnose the problem. I called Stephen on a Thursday morning and by Thursday evening he was at our house working on the thermostats. It turns out, not only did we need to connect the c-wire at the thermostat, there was additional work to be done on the unit itself AND with the wiring. Stephen was in and out under 2 hours. He was friendly, professional, and got the work done quickly. In the week since, he has contacted me twice to follow-up to make sure the thermostats are functioning properly. We will definitely use him again if we need other electrical installation done. read more

5 Stars are definitely earned here. I was referred to Lee's Assembly Required by my Granddaughter. She was familiar with him and his work and his work ethics. Stephen promptly made an appointment with me to look at the job and gave me a estimate within a day. After meeting Stephen I knew he was the right person and was confident in having him perform the work needed. He shows up on time and follows through on all aspects of the job and stayed in contact with me through everything. He had to deal with PG&E the City of Stockton and me. I give him 5 stars but he deserves 10 stars. He has my future business as his work is neat clean and professional. You can't go wrong with Lee's Assembly Required and Stephen Lee. He replaced and upgraded an Electrical box as well as some other things. I Will be referring him to all my family and friends on Facebook as well as Angies List. He does great work , he is fair, honest and just a really nice man. Thanks Stephen, My Husband and I look forward to doing business with you in the future. read more
