Shady place. One two separate occasions they told me different prices. The first time I went I had a pedicure done and dispite this fact I still went through it. The second time I went in and they gave me a different price than when I had called the day prior. I went in for acrylic and without my knowledge the lady said it was going to be $5 extra for almond shape nails. She had already put on the nails. I told her I did not like the way they looked and that I wasn't going to get them done and she refused to take the nails off. She said I needed to pay $25 for her to take them off. Criminal! I will never come back here and I will never tell anyone about this place because the way I was treated was really wrong. read more

I do not recommend. I'm the first person to give anyone the benefit of the doubt but i gave in too much and now i'm sitting here with an infected ingrown toenail. I decided to come here with my friend since she comes here often and i got a pedi, i asked the lady (as i ask everyone who does my toes) to take out the ingrown toenails please; i went home and from that day which was about a week ago my toe has gotten infected to the point i can't even touch it. Went to another nail salon to see if they could take it out and now i have to go to a hospital or doctor to get it removed. So no my $40 pedicure was not worth it for the medical bill i'm going to have now. I'm sorry i'm all about supporting businesses but this left me in pain and disappointment. read more

My friend recommended this place so I decided to try it out. My first visit went well and I really enjoyed my manicurist. She added an extra layer of polish when I asked, took her time and was a perfectionist. I decided I would come back again for the great price. I came in again but the lady above wasn't there so Han (she seems to be the owner, I'm not sure how to spell her name) said she would do them. I didn't get the full manicure so I went home I blamed myself for my bad nails. They were chipping at the bottom and didn't look too pleasing. I went back again to get a full gel manicure and Han did them again. However, the outcome was worse this time. She is very fast and does not take her time. My nails are chipping from the bottom and my cuticles are horrible, they are peeling everywhere. If I were to pick at the polish the whole thing would come off. read more

On a side note, I've witnessed customers come in here and attempt to argue and go back and forth (also threaten to write a horrible review) for issues that was clearly the clients fault.. The guy who did my nails claimed to not have color swatches for regular colors and I would have to go pick a color on the wall. Not the end of the world however he seemed he was bothered and didn't want to walk a few extra steps to get me the color swatches. Then asks me out loud if I have fungus on my toe.... it was a bruise from running. Also they don't use bags for their pedicure tubs. When it came to me picking a color he asked me to pick a color from a swatch I had next to me. I said oh you told me to pick a color off the wall and not the swatches.... he flat out lied to me and made pick a color I was not sure of. I'll stick to my favorite usual nail salon. read more

ARE YOU F*KING KIDDING ME. My sister in law and I made an appointment here and were HIGHLY dissappointed!!! Afterwards we had almost the exact same complaints! She noted the man kept joking about making her nails ugly (okay)... something we noticed was that they kept looking over to eachother (we both got our nails done at the same time) as if it was a race. They were not gentle at all when filing and everything stung. The areas around my nail were inflamed and she nicked me several times with the electric nail file, I flinched -no apologies. Right after that she threw the alcohol on it and I hold to hold back from cursing. The acrylic nails were too filed on the sides so my real nail was showing, the glue stuck to the side of my fingers and she did not even fill the nail all the way! There is an obvious gap! To top it off she was unaware that I was Vietnamese and I could understand her talking crap. I tipped her 3 dollars. As I was leaving she was cursing me out in Vietnamese for not giving her more. You get what you pay for. This place is definitely on the low end of nail "salons". I went here so my girlfriend and I could get pedicures. Each was 13 I think. We didn't get the spa one, just regular. And I'm glad I didn't pay more for the "spa" considering their chairs are run down, stained, and when I saw a lady sitting in one getting her toes done, she said the massage part wasn't working. So they sat me down in a regular plastic chair, yes plastic... not even a computer chair. The nail tech brought out a plastic container that very subtly vibrated. I put my feet in and she started my pedi. During the time I was getting it done, I saw 3 HOES getting their nails done. Yup, real prostitutes. They were talking very loudly and in detail about their experiences with customers from the nights prior. Hahahaa I have to admit I was trying to hold in my laugh. These females had no shame in their game. Soooooo if you are looking for a super cheap, fast pedi and you don't mind the ghettoness of this place, then by all means stop by here. I love getting my pedicures here. They always do an awesome job. I don't like anything fancy on my toes so I always just get a plain color, no designs. Came to the salon today, made an appointment at 2:30pm, arrived early and left at 5:15pm. Only come here if you have time to spare. This is a really busy salon. But let me tell you it's well worth the wait. These beauticians like to take their time and are perfectionists. I requested the guy (I think his name is Tim) to do my spa pedicure and my full set because of the reviews on Yelp and he's wonderful! I came here randomly, didn't read any reviews until now and honestly they're kinda old. I read that some people had plastic chairs and broken spa chair but I'm here and they have all computer rolling chairs on clean soft carpet and I'm LOVING this spa chair. Also some reviews said the man was rude and made jokes. I have a male helping me out and he's super sweet, not rude at all and any jokes he made were completely appropriate. I'm glad I didn't check yelp because I probably honestly wouldn't have come but this is a great whole in the wall. Very cheap and reasonable prices. Great great great, fast work. Even the lady not doing my pedicure, but right next to me, asked if my water was ok. They keep asking if I'm doing ok, if this hurts and completely attending to my needs. I've lived in this area my whole life so some people aren't comfortable with the other customers and the "work" but honestly I've gone to la Jolla and paid out of my ass for some shit work and rude people. Been here twice and would never go again. The first time I went in to have my gel taken off (that was done at another location because they do not offer this here). Before I sat down I made sure to verify that they had the right chemical to take off the gel and they ensured me they did. After trying several different liquids which were obviously not the right one they pulled out the sander and started to sand the gel off my toes! I stopped them almost immediately and asked yet again if they had the chemical or not. They finally admitted they didn't so I left (with one sanded toe) to find a salon that did gel. Second time I went I sat down and waited for the ONE person that was doing pedicures. He was just starting someone as I got there so I waited the half hour. Soon after arriving, two other women came in. Not until he was done with the first woman did he tell me that the other two women both had appointments so I would have to wait even longer until he was done with them or his coworker was done with acrylics. So basically I waited half an hour to be told that I would have to wait at least another half hour more just for a pedicure! Such a waste of time. Such a shame because this place is literally right next to my house and affordable. read more

My friend and I went there this last weekend for the first time. When we left me friend said that the girl who did her toes cut too close on the side of her big toe and made her bleed. Two days later my friends big toe is infected, swollen and red and really painful. I would NOT recommend this place. This usually happens when the nail utensils are unclean, or they cut the cuticle too close, but there isn't cuticle on the side of your big toe. I wanted to like this place and support a family owned place, but when I saw my friends toe last night I felt really bad for her, and grossed out. This has never happened to her before. Just moved to the SD area and have been trying to find a regular nail salon. This place was not it. I chose this salon because of the great reviews on Yelp. Got a regular pedicure and gel manicure today. The younger lady doing my pedicure did a great job, only she only massaged and put lotion on one of my legs and not the other. Not a big deal. The real problem was with my gel manicure, which was done by an older lady. I got a piece of black lint stuck to one of my nails. I didn't notice until the top coat was curing. I pointed it out to the lady and she just covered it with more nail polish. You could totally still see it and the color I chose was really bright, so it was pretty apparent. Also, no massage, no lotion at all for the manicure. Price for the gel manicure ($22) was highway robbery for that kind of service. read more
