They fight each other in front of the guests and argue with the guests as if they own the company. Some of them look scary and intimidating. I had to lock my stuff in fear of being stolen. However, the bar service was unsatisfactory--the bartender failed to acknowledge the order of waiting guests, repeatedly serving others who arrived after my wife and me. Our room also had maintenance issues: the nightlight did not work, and the outlet powering the mini fridge was faulty, leaving the fridge inoperable. I hope management addresses these issues to bring the guest experience up to the Marriott standard. That didn't feel safe! As a Marriott member, this hotel didn't have the comfort I'm used to. This was probably the worst I've experienced. Here is a breakdown of some of the issues: -Our room was dingy with a musty odor. -Even with all the lights on, it was very dark and we couldn't keep the blinds open because it faced the courtyard with rooms on the other side and basically one could see into the room. -The bathroom door was coming apart. -The water pressure was very low. The hotel staff was courteous and got us checked-in in no time. Our room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen attached to the living room seemed good for families with kids & elders to make a quick meal or heat up leftovers on the pan. Reasonably priced and if you're an IHG member, you get points. We didn't experience any issues at all and actually this was one of the stress-free hotels my husband & I stayed at. Highly recommend it.

This place needs a serious makeover. In the flip side. It would probably drive the price way up and this place was fairly reasonable compared to similar properties. The location was good too. You can walk to 7-11 or cross the street to a grocery store. It was a 25 min drive to Dulles airport and there's a Thai restaurant connected to the hotel. I was staying for a weeklong work event. It was fine because I was gone a little but if I was on vacation or had anyone with me, I'd be frustrated at the dim lights, shredded curtain liner, some if the lights that shanties and the outdated kitchen set up.

The free breakfast was just okay, which is pretty typical, but it did cover one meal and helped keep costs down. One unexpected highlight was the coffee. The automated machines served fresh-ground Costa coffee, and coffee and tea were available 24/7, which I really appreciated.
