Finally! A KS store in Pearland! I was shocked to discover this location when I searched on Google…read morebecause I did not see an email or any sort of announcement. This location is super convenient for me and it worked out because I had one day left (or so I thought) to redeem my birthday discount. This store is located in the Pearland Town Center across from Victoria's Secret. I parked near Macy's and walked a short distance. The store is similar in size to the Baybrook location. The ladies working in the store were very nice and helpful. They explained the new summer line as well as the birthday month discount deal (50% off fashion jewelry and 25% off demi fine/fine jewelry). Additionally, there are a few add ons that you can purchase for $25 when redeeming the birthday discount. KS has done the birthday discount for years, but the employees informed me that they actually give you a 15 day grace period after your birthday month to use your discount! Good to know in the future! KS continues to expand their products. In addition to jewelry, watches, and jewelry cases, they also sell fragrances. Though the ladies were nice, I felt like customer service wasn't quite as polished as some of the other locations (maybe because they're brand new). One of the employees didn't seem as sure about some of the items when I asked questions. It also took awhile before I was offered water. Normally water/beverages are offered upon entering the store. When I was checking out, the employee handed me the jewelry pouches and receipt, rather than putting it all in a KS shopping bag. Another employee noticed and offered to put the pouches in a bag for me. None of these things are major deterrents, but it just took away from the experience that I expect when shopping at KS.

I haven't actually shopped here so I won't say 5 stars but the ladies here were so nice. They went…read moreout of their way to give me and my friends popsicles after one of their events. Very sweet

I heard that this place pays for items you want to sell with cash. Probably, if you were doing a…read moreconsignment, you'd get more for your items, but if quick cash is your thing, I'd try it out just to understand the process. I finally made the time to drop off a few of my X's gifts that I wanted out of my house. A name brand purse was involved. Besides some name brand perfume and a dress from Shein, the experiment was small. I was expecting at least $50 for the haul, but haha - $18 was my takeaway. I at least have to applaud them processing the haul prior to the estimated time. I was in the parking lot managing my next stop when I received a text that my offer was ready. I was told the offer is computerized and not left up to the store members. I really didn't care - it was a gift that I didn't want in my house anymore, so the $18 was more than I was getting with it collecting dust. You may say just donate it, but clothing accessory donations have not yielded me any tax breaks over the years, so I gladly took my 18 bucks and will buy groceries for the church food bank. Additionally, the Shein dress (that by the way had never been worn and had the tags on it) as well as barely used perfume was not accepted items. They offered to donate the dress to Goodwill, and I gave the perfume to the young lady who was working the hauls. Again, I didn't want the items in my house anymore, so my goal was accomplished. Now, if it had been my own stuff I paid money for, I probably would have taken those items back and found someone to buy them or put them under consignment. However, since it was no cost to me, the experiment was just okay for me. I know they'll make way more than $18 off that name brand purse, but that's the trade-off for same day cash back for selling items. Overall, I'm sure this is a great resource for people who need cash right away, but I'm never in that kind of bind to just give my stuff away, which you are almost doing at Plato's. As far as the selection of clothes to buy, I didn't check. It was way too crowded for my taste with bunches of racks. Since I'm not a shopper most days, I wasn't moved to look either. Maybe one day soon, I'll choose to do so and give an overall review of this place, but for now, you have insight on being a seller at Plato's in case you're interested.

So today I went to sell clothes. Upon my dismay, I had a larger item than just a trash bag. When…read morechecking in, I was informed that if I would have to lift the luggage above the waist to place it on the counter. When asked if I could roll it around, I was told "no because we would have to pick it up". Then I asked for assistance to help lift it until the counter and was told "if you can pick it up yourself, then we can't go through it". However, it took two of them to go through the luggage but no help?! It just makes me feel sorry for those who are actually handicapped or needed extra assistance due to the lack of physical capability. Plus the counter is entirely too high for most. I worked at Plato's closet before and never remember ever telling a customer that or at least not lend a helping hand. Just want the consideration for everyone's well being on BOTH sides.
