When we brought to his attention the fact that our cold subs were sitting on a top of an oven, we were met with silence. To the management..maybe there's a better spot for cold subs to hang out and wait?? Also, it would be a little nicer for subs ordered with extra mustard to have the mustard on them instead of just throwing extra mustard packets in the bag.

I normally like to give food trucks, two or three shots before i make a review. why? Most can get it right one time, but back to back and you've got a winner. Which is exactly how I categorize Firehouse BBQ. I wouldn't consider myself an expert on bbq, but i do try to branch out every chance I get so that I can try a variety of locations. On both occasions I had the "pig pen" sandwich. this contains pulled pork and slaw between two slices of texas toast! The pork is excellent. Moist, actually pulled instead of shredded, like some places serve. The sauce and seasonings are enough to flavor the meat but NOT overcome the actual taste of the pork. This is key to seasoning, smoking and serving pork/chicken/beef or fish. Too many places saturate the meat with their idea of taste, all the while, masking the meat with spices. I also had a bite of the tempora bacon, basically, deep fried bacon. It was tasty, a little bland, but heart stopping good. Another great thing that they carry, Cherrywine soda!! I love that stuff! Not overly sweet like most sodas. The people who serve you and prepare the food are polite and friendly. I can't wait for my next plate of bbq from firehouse! Congrats!

Everything was absolutely amazing. What really stood out to me, though, was the owner's kindness and customer service. He noticed my elderly aunt was getting overheated in the sun and immediately offered her a chair in the shade along with a complimentary bottle of water. He also found out it was my mother's birthday and surprised her with a delicious Orange Julius drink on the house. He took the time to come out, chat with us, and genuinely make us feel welcomed and appreciated. That kind of hospitality is rare these days. Anytime this truck is in my area, I will absolutely be supporting this business. Great food, amazing service, and an even better owner. Highly recommend!

The Da Bronx NY Street Food appealed to all us the most. We decided to share a few items, The Potato Knish, Jamaican Beef Patty , Taco Empanada, and the Mac Attack. -The Potato Knish was hot, well seasoned, not greasy whatsoever, and truly tasted like fresh potato. The -Jamaican Beef Patty was full of flavor, had nice heat to it, and wasn't too greasy. -Taco Empanada was good. Wasn't to saucy, has perfect flavor and wasn't greasy. - The Mac Attack was the show stopper for us. It was a Big Mac empanada that truly tasted like a real Big Mac. Loved this so much. All in all it was a great food experience. The service was top notch, staff was friendly, food got out to all customers in a reasonable amount of time. With the food truck being near the parade route, the atmosphere was a good one. Everyone love their food ten fold. Aces!
