Spectacular place. So beautiful. I love how there is music for different displays. A huge thanks to the family that puts this together.

Well hello Pipestone Creek Recreation Park. I've walked in you for years and I had no idea what…read moreyour official name was until I had to add your listing to Yelp. When I was growing up, you were just "The Creek Park." Later, you were The Creek Park that people built their houses in. I was none too fond of that. Nor am I still none too fond of it. My dog used to go running for puddles that would gather at the base of a hill where those houses now stand. Boo. Anyway, this past weekend I was back for a visit and had occasion to revisit my old running loop. Everything's just as I remembered! The park itself is awesome. By day, it's a great place for a walk or a run. The path running through it is relatively flat, so easy for just about any age to enjoy. There are also soccer fields and baseball diamonds for people to enjoy. When I was in jr high, I used to come out to the soccer fields in the early hours before school and practice throwing a discus (it was the one track and field sport I seemed to have a natural knack for). In more recent years, the town has even added a spray park. By night, it's by far the best place within the town limits to come star gazing (or catch the Northern Lights if it's winter). Park yourself in the middle of a soccer field, lay down and look up.. wwwaaaaaaaay up. It's gorgeous! I also have memories of a family of foxes living in the park. And it's always fun to stroll along the creek in the evenings and see if you can spot any beavers swimming around. It's quite pretty, and enjoyed even more in the presence of friends or pet.

Leduc Rec Centre (LRC) is the old Black Gold Centre with some fancy upgrades…read more The LRC has the pool, skating rink and concession from before. But now there's also a field-house, a court (for basketball and games like that), curling rink, an exercise facility, walking track, event space (with a kitchen), restaurant and lounge, and an Orange Julius/DQ. The last point may seem pretty strange, go work out and then get a Blizzard. But that's why it's a "rec centre" and not a "fitness centre." The LRC is also where the rodeo is held each May, with the fair outside. The field-house/court also have been used for trade shows and other events like that. And of course sporting tournaments, Admission ranges from $7.50 for a single admission to $487 for an annual pass. If you get the pass (which also comes just monthly if you don't want a big commitment) you get access to the fitness centre and the other facilities (like the pool and skating rink) when they're open to the public (and not booked for private lessons). I've been to the fitness facility and it's pretty standard, treadmills, elliptical trainers, bikes, weights and weight machines that I don't know the name of, you know stuff you'd find in a gym/fitness facility. The LRC also has some drop in fitness programs, but it seems the more popular options (like Zumba) you have to pay extra for. Considering how much has been added to the old Black Gold Centre (to make it the LRC) this place is pretty spiffy. I wish the drop in classes were a little bit more fun (right now it's all "older adult cardio" and that sort of thing). Still if you're in Leduc and looking to workout, or just go skating or swimming, etc this is the best place to go.

Located in the basement of an old looking building, this well kept, well appointed fitness centre feels like a broken in pair of boots that you've taken really good care of, oiled the leather, replaced the soles, and now you couldn't imagine life without them. Owned for the last 12 years by a super nice and friendly woman, all the kinks have been worked out, they have pretty much everything a person would want in a gym, and it's all spaced nicely with good amounts of room to perform exercises. I did circuit work a couple days, heavier lifting a couple days, so I used pretty much everything there except cardio equipment since the weather was nice and I ran around outside. Everything I used functioned perfectly, with plenty of attachments for all the machines. I've reviewed lots of gyms, but I've never seen the benches and machines they have at adrenaline. They use Magnum and Equalizer equipment. (80's TV show theme?) Nothing fancy or complicated, but always nice to work on something a little new and different. They offer free towel service, and sell water and Gatorade out of a bar fridge by the desk. I went to buy water on two occasions, but both times the person working (once the owner, once a staff member) gave it to me free, despite my having talked to them and them knowing I was just passing through town. They have a reasonably priced $6.00 drop in, or ten visits which don't expire for $50.00 - when I explained I was only in town for a week, the owner offered to sell me a "half ten visit pass" for $25.00. Really felt like they tried to give me good value for what I had come to do. The woman who owns the place is super great. Single mom, running a gym, we talked about the challenges of running a business and getting by. There's an older man and a young girl who is recovering from a major illness who also work there, I think that's about it for staff. The young woman is also really friendly, a wife and mother. Didn't talk as much with the guy, but he gave me one of the free waters, so obviously also a nice person. This is definitely my choice in Camrose, I'll give them my business 100% of the time. Thanks, Adrenaline Gym!

Sooo many obstacles to try and I felt safe in my harness. The lesson to use the harness was fantastic and really easy - didn't catch/pinch my fingers at all. Wish staff were on the higher levels more often as we could not figure out how to work the unicycle but no staff in sight. 2 hours was perfect as by then we were physically exhausted. We did use the full 2 hours. We came exactly at opening hour and was totally worth it as we didn't have to wait for others to use the obstacles and didn't feel rushed. If you buy a ticket there is a bathroom in the campground you can use (need to buy a ticket so they tell you the bathroom code) before you climb. Lockers are quite small (but free) so leave what you can in the car - lots of parking, and it is free! Creekside Eats in the same park was really tasty and had tons of really nice outdoor seating. Our ticket (buy a ticket = get a discount to the other attractions) also came with a 15% discount on target golf which was so much fun too! (worth getting the unlimited buckets for 1 hour).

Closed toe shoes are checked. 2 hours playtime was plenty for us. Sent an email about our photos but never heard back. I signed the waiver and everything too. That's why I'm giving it only 2 stars. Maybe they didn't even snap the photos we asked them to. Staff looked bored and were not attentive. So it was hard to get their attention to take our photo. So I wonder if they even did. Also there was one person who had fallen from the monkey bars. He was just hanging there. His friends were trying to get help but nobody around. I finally found someone. He was on the same level too. Just not paying attention sadly.
