The reviews were good so my husband and I came for an early dinner. The place was packed, the line was going out the door and the scents were very tantalizing. The lady that was running the production line was a force, yelling out orders with such enthusiasm and energy creating that New York style atmosphere that the restaurant is named after. Her name is Marina and she's absolutely a vibe - found out she's the owner! You get a selection of two meats or one fish, two sides, soup and a drink. I ordered a fried chicken meatball, pirog with chicken and potato, potato pirogy, with saurkraut salad. Everything tasted exactly as it should, flavorful and cooked correctly. I'm Russian/Ukrainian/Jewish so trust me, I'd know what each dish "should" taste like! Glad I found my new place that I can trust catering to my family to, and passing it off as my own jk. We arrived around 7 PM to a full parking lot so we didn't think that there would be availability, however we didn't have to fret. Luckily this restaurant is very expensive and has an indoor dining area of our area and an outdoor patio. We inquired at the hostess podium how long we would have to wait for a table indoors and we were quoted 15 minutes. That's very minimal however we went with sitting outside instead. It was a particularly chilly night that there were heat lamps on, thankfully. I love the outdoor seating! I really enjoyed my meal and the starter we got, the spicy sauced Brussels sprouts-they were delish! I can't wait to try more menu items. The service, by a new-ish male server was excellent also!
