I contacted several local plumbing companies to quote the project, knowing it was going to be expensive. I received quotes from folks with different ideas ranging from around $5k for replacement to over $35k to excavate under the house and replace the old one. Richard was on the lower end of that range and I could tell he'd been in business for a long time and knew what he was talking about, so that's who I went with. I couldn't be happier given the circumstances. They rigged it up where it would work the next day until they could complete the project. They did a fantastic job. From the trenching to the plumbing and even the landscaping afterwards turned out better than I expected. These are good folks doing good work at a fair price. That's who I'll be calling from now on and I definitely recommend them.

The reason I'm writing this review today is because I called them for a minor repair I could not do because of a medical reason. It was an easy, quick job that I needed done. I just could not do it myself. They showed up and took care of it. There are still some good people out there and Baker Brothers employees some of these people. Atmos energy came out to test the line and with his testing equipment showed a gas leak the technician said the gas line was loose. I might add that when I was at seventh grade my family's house burnt to the ground because of the exact same thing a loose gas pipe to the stove. OK, there was some arguing on the phone, but it wasn't from me and when I got on the phone, I asked the office manager a few questions and she kept telling me about her policy. I'll tell you where the problem lies after her telling me how ethical your company is, I asked her if you're so ethical why didn't you not pull a permit then the office manager hung the phone up on me that's where the problem is and the fact that you work with crooked contractors if you want to know the truth I liked you, but there's something very wrong with this situation

The man who came to fix the leak didn't know how to find the leak. He made 7 holes in my walls. I paid him 2400.00 to fix the leak . He informed me at the end that Alco doesn't fix holes . I would have to get a sheetrock man. Then he said he could fix it but it would cost 350. He came when he got off work each day and made a huge mess. This went on for about a week. I finally found someone else who would come back and fix it for me. He did a beautiful job, but that cost another 900.00. Not to mention the job turned out to NOT be a 2400.00 job like they estimated. I would have much rather paid by the hour. Live and learn.

Work quality (as far as I can tell) was good, but price is extremely high considering the time and parts required. Won't be my first choice next time we have an issue.

Then, after a week of calling , the manager begrudgingly sends two apprentices? who install a very precarious Dr.Suess apparatus to route gas line away from vent ..The apprentices /young men installed while mostly on the phone with Dr. Suess?..Meanwhile, stating "We are not sure if we will have to charge you" After we moved the dryer vent (we paid our contractor because we no longer had faith that this company would do it properly)it was reinstalled in an acceptable manner. I waited to review because this company gave the vibes that they would retaliate by some bogus charges . C. Woods technician also set out water heater on continuous VS demand which continually heats the water instead of when on demand-which depletes your gas much faster. There was no conversation about this. I found this company reckless and indifferent to this project , probaly because we are not in an affluent neighborhood and I believe they have some corporate accounts. Luckily, I was able to find the names and emails of the general managers of this company in case they try to send a delayed bill.
