This was the best churro- holy smokes.... We leaned into the afternoon churro and hot coco tradition here pretty easily. These churros are crispy and then chewy on the inside. Absolutely fabulous. I did also get a hot chocolate from this stall as well but it was WAY too sweet. I could only take a couple sips and then I had to throw it out. So the plan is- go here for your churros, and then head down to Cafe El Jarocho for their hot chocolate. BAM! You're welcome.

The pastries themselves were expensive, but were filling. Overall, everything wasn't sweet enough and the flavors were very average. The guava roll had a tangy cream and there wasn't enough filling to pastry. The cacao roll also was tangy and had a waxy texture due to the nibs. I wished both were a little sweeter. The dulce de leche bun was also dry and very messy to eat. It did taste the best out of the three pastries though. My favorite from the trip was the beetroot juice, it was so refreshing.

This bakery bakes most of their pastries for the most part. I purchased two almond croissants that were pre-packaged and that I am sure will keep longer. In addition to the croissants and conchas, I also got two cheesecake slices. I noticed a couple of guys replacing some of the baked rolls with fresher ones, so I knew that this bakery is all about service. Some of the other places where I purchased pastries I questioned their freshness. There were simply too many pastries to choose from, and I will save the rest of the goodies for another day.

I walked to the tranquil downtown Coyoacan area and saw La Casa de los Tacos was open, so porque no? The girls were so nice. And they were open with a few diners inside. It was kind of empty and chill, but the ambiance was festive and exciting due to the music and activities going on in el parque nearby. I was so hungry I wanted to eat everything, so I got the tacos con chapulines (HELLA FIRE) and a side plate of arroz con platanos. I also ordered a beer, but that never came out. Their salsas are hella good. Especially that insane truffle one, who knew! It was SO good. The pan fried platanos were so delicious and the perfect little craving I needed for a sweet treat afterwards. They accept cash and card, and make sure you tip you extranjero/turista!
