The signage is not that obvious unless you live in the neighbourhood and walk about the shops. Anyhow, got some dressy shoes repaired here - just the high heel part where it was worn off. $12.50 for each pair which I thought was totally fair. And my heels look and feel just as good again! The turnaround time was fast too! I got my shoes within 24 hours unlike other shoe repair places. The owner was very friendly and has a funny sign that he points out to on his counter "pssst....no interac". So bring you CASH. Great place and has free limited parking in front of the shop. It's right across from Mrs. Mike's on Tache (south of Marion on Tache).

I barely ever am able to buy off the rack when it comes to fashion footwear. Between bad knees, bad back, bad ankles and plantar fasciitis, I have some high maintenance foot issues. So when I found an inexpensive low heel that fit my wide feet I snapped them up. Plus, they had a very 18th century feel to them, which I love. Anyhow, I bought them with the intention of taking them to Roger's shoe Repairs to have the heel changed out into a French Heel. I knew this wouldn't be an inexpensive request and that Roger is the best. I finally took them in and he did an amazing job. He said it took him 4 days and he made me custom heels out of stacked leather! He didn't even charge me more than he had originally quoted me! They look and feel great. I can't recommend him enough. We always go to him in film and theatre to have shoe repairs done. He also does custom made shoes! He is located under the Fairmont. (If you are wondering I requested a brown heel on the rust coloured pair) Now I have my wedding shoes! I am so pleased.

He placed a black "bead" of adhesive where the sole meets the upper; looks like the shoes were always supposed to be that way. I still have those shoes, too fancy for every-day wear. Still in perfect shape. A couple years ago I brought a pair of winter boots. Lining at the heel had worn out completely, raw leather exposed. He sewed a patch of suede, firmly secured and wrapped over the top of the boots. Looks great, feels great, much more durable than the original fabric lining. I wear those boots every day in winter; will again this winter.

Their solution was a poor sewing job with extra elastic and stretching them on the machine. RUINED!!! The owner did not budge on the price and was unapologetic. So $300 WASTED. AVOID COBBLER'S CORNER. There are 2-3 other cobblers in the concourse.
