The signage is not that obvious unless you live in the neighbourhood and walk about the shops. Anyhow, got some dressy shoes repaired here - just the high heel part where it was worn off. $12.50 for each pair which I thought was totally fair. And my heels look and feel just as good again! The turnaround time was fast too! I got my shoes within 24 hours unlike other shoe repair places. The owner was very friendly and has a funny sign that he points out to on his counter "pssst....no interac". So bring you CASH. Great place and has free limited parking in front of the shop. I barely ever am able to buy off the rack when it comes to fashion footwear. Between bad knees, bad back, bad ankles and plantar fasciitis, I have some high maintenance foot issues. So when I found an inexpensive low heel that fit my wide feet I snapped them up. Plus, they had a very 18th century feel to them, which I love. Anyhow, I bought them with the intention of taking them to Roger's shoe Repairs to have the heel changed out into a French Heel. I knew this wouldn't be an inexpensive request and that Roger is the best. I finally took them in and he did an amazing job. He said it took him 4 days and he made me custom heels out of stacked leather! He didn't even charge me more than he had originally quoted me! They look and feel great. I can't recommend him enough. We always go to him in film and theatre to have shoe repairs done. He also does custom made shoes! He is located under the Fairmont. (If you are wondering I requested a brown heel on the rust coloured pair) Now I have my wedding shoes! I am so pleased.

When I contacted their staff with evidence (including my prior 2021 order of the same black model), they refused to provide a prepaid return label or take responsibility for correcting the mistake. The issue is that they host two different versions on their website, and this leaves lots of room for manual judgment and mistakes in their fulfillment center. Their response was dismissive, placing all costs and inconvenience back on me, the customer, despite the error being on their end. I have since had to purchase shoes elsewhere (due to extreme pain) and filed complaints with MasterCard, the Better Business Bureau, the College, and the Manitoba Consumer Protection Office - all against Brian, who defrauded me. Customers deserve a business that stands behind its service. Unfortunately, in my experience, Canadian Footwear did not deliver what I ordered and made the resolution process unnecessarily difficult. Corollary: Brian's shop uses fraudulent online practices. Rich and Brian are both using unethical and fraudulent techniques to sell their goods.
