Went in last week to drop off a backpack to have the straps repaired. I was immediately taken aback by the locked doors and big warning sign that greeted me although I shouldn't have been considering I had a homeless person come and beat on my window in the parking lot. Once I got in, Hernan said he could fix the straps and suggested adding rivets to strengthen it and after consulting with my daughter who owns the backpack she agreed that that would be a good idea and I asked him to do that. Fast forward to a week later, he had mentioned he would call but didn't so I called and was told it was ready and I could come get it. I said I could come by 2 1/2 hours later than our call and was told that "the truck is packed" and "I may not be there, I don't know, you should call first". No problem, I change my plans and call back 30 min later and head over after stopping for cash since that is all he takes apparently. When I get there I am immediately told that he didn't put the rivets because it would "tear" but then only when I ask about shouldn't the cost be less (charged $95 to re-sew straps onto the backpack) he said "no". I then was told that I didn't say that I wanted rivets (a COMPLETE LIE) and he would have to charge me more to do that. Bottom line is this is a shady place, no receipt, my "pick up slip" was written on a post it note (thank goodness I didn't lose it!), all cash, dog warning sign, you name it. Will be looking elsewhere for someone to actually finish the job Hernan couldn't (or didn't want to) do.

How many ways can you use the word MAGNIFICENT. Regardless of the amount I can not express in words the beauty of the leather and workmanship of this chair. This Eames chair was a Fathers Day present to me in 1981. It has been in our family ever since. Time and wear through those years took its toll on the original leather covering. For several years I often spoke of recovering but, was hesitant and feared shoddy workmanship. Sometime ago I spotted a flatbed truck with a model of a cow upon it. Curiosity got the best of me. The logo on the side of the truck read "The Leather Hospital". A short conversation had the owner Herman at my home. His knowledge and demeanor convinced me i could trust him with our beloved Eames chair. A fair price was given, a leather chosen and very shortly thereafter the chair was off to the "Hospital ". Ten (10) days later the chair was delivered and the workmanship and the beauty of the new leather covering can not be verbalized. Should you have a piece of furniture that needs quality workmanship as well as a tender restoration I suggest you give this firm a call. I don't suspect you will be disappointed.

This is the BEST kept secret and best place to get your leather repairs done! My daughter ripped the front of her Veda leather jacket given to her by her aunt 4yrs ago. Dino's referred us to Herman at Leather Hospital. He is wonderful!!!! He repaired the jacket for a great price and it looked better than before it was ripped. The quality of his work is impeccable! I would keep the jacket for myself if it fit me :) Herman could probably do that for me too!!!

Before repairs: lining was tattered and coming out of the neck, sleeves and pockets. Holes had formed in the collar.

Can't say enough good things about this place! I took a very special 1970's motorcycle jacket to be repaired and conditioned after reading other reviews. The jacket is a family heirloom that belonged to my dad and was passed on to my uncle and now me. My husband has been wearing it for years and as a birthday present I wanted to have it fixed up for him. They totally relined it, replaced the collar and conditioned it yet managed to keep the integrity of the original jacket, which was very important to me. They even sewed back in the original label!!! Also their prices were totally reasonable and they were faster than originally estimated! I will absolutely be going back in the future for any repairs I need.

Outstanding job. Made me new handles for my leather purse after my dog ate them and they look better than the originals. Thank you Herman

A Must-Visit Texas Experience - Incredible Service & True Craftsmanship!…read more I cannot recommend Wild Bill's Western Store enough! My sister flew all the way from Germany wanting to take a piece of Texas back home with her, and we are so grateful we found this place. We were initially struggling to find boots that fit, but we were quickly approached by an incredible gentleman who turned our frustration into an education. He was so kind and passionate; he explained that for tall boots, it's about the calf fit, not just the sole size. He taught us how to read the codes inside the boots rather than just the size tag and personally helped us try them on and off with such patience. When we moved to the hats, he was just as helpful. He made sure we picked hats that wouldn't fly off while horseback riding and helped us color-match them perfectly to our new boots. He even steamed and customized the hats right there (the photo of him working his magic with the steam is a memory we'll cherish!) to ensure a perfect, firm fit. Beyond his expertise, he shared the wonderful 70-year history of his father's store. He made us feel so welcome and happy--it felt like talking to a great father figure. We didn't stop talking about his kindness all the way to the car. If you want top-notch customer service and an authentic Texas welcome, please go see him. He made our entire trip special!

They want you to make an appointment to shop here but there's no one inside. The destitute situation in downtown Dallas also makes it seem depressing; who wants to shop in a store with no customers inside (since they won't let them in without an appointment) and then buy a $2k Rabanne dress with desperate homeless people outside? The security is fierce. I guess they need to be.

I was very skeptical at first but I now think that this may be a case of a weak password and some savvy hackers. The messages people are receiving from this account are awful and sexist. I've been told that this Instagram account will soon be shut down and disassociated with this store.
