We found 5 pieces that we absolutely LOVED!! They carry beautiful, handmade, original furniture made of Mango wood, which was special knowing it came from here in Florida. Florence recommended a chair for the desk we picked out and it was PERFECT! Clint delivered it all to us the next morning. We couldn't be happier!! Don't let the name Patio Joe's fool you. I was told by Meg that Chad would call me between 6-8pm today, Sunday, to arrange a time tomorrow to come out. I've waited for his call BUT HE NEVER CALLED. IM ABOUT TO CANCEL THE REST OF MY ORDER. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. The furniture warehouse in Venice, Florida has nice furniture and our sales lady Amy Pearcy is outstanding. The problem we had with buying two bedroom sets was that when they were delivered the king bedroom set the footboard and headboard and the drawers that were underneath were busted and stained with a yellow stain and cracks all the way through parts of the headboard and parts of the drawers. The queen bedroom set had chips out of the white paint in several locations. I told the delivery people the reason why these headboards for these beds are Being delivered in such rough damaged condition is because the headboards they pull off of the truck (and I mean I ordered white bedroom sets) they pulled both the king and the queen headboard off the truck and it was not wrapped in anything at all. And those headboards showed it, it showed lots of damage. The crazy part is the side railings and the drawers that go underneath the bed were in a box and when the delivery guy opened up the box, those pieces, the side rails and the drawers six drawers two on each side and two at the footboard were snapped and broken. The wood was snapped or chipped or cracked and some with yellow stains all over the wood. I was horrified. I had to completely reject the king size bedroom set. The queen bed had damage to the headboard and footboard areas but I chose to have their tech come out and do touch up of white paint to several areas of the queen bed. Sad thing is I waited for this delivery only to have to reject the white King bed altogether. It looked like a bomb dropped on many areas of the white wood. The white Queen I kept BUT it was dinged and chipped in several locations. I should have received some sort of credit back on the total inconvenience of it all AND the dinged up Queen bed. Another King was delivered last week. It too has a few knicks in the white paint and one drawer is very tight and difficult to open and close so The Furniture warehouse is send out a tech tomorrow to touch up several areas. I was told tech will call me today, Sunday, to confirm tomorrow's already scheduled appointment BUT if I miss his call that he will NOT be coming out to my house tomorrow. I spoke to the Store Manager Eric and Amy our sales person about this matter. Both were very apologetic and wanting to make things right.

I was able to get just about everything for our house there. All of the workers are helping and friendly. I would recommend going in early the day of the auction to get your seat and get it close to the front where Joe is auctioning otherwise you can't here him if you are toward the back.

I so wanted to browse and check out every little corner but with little ones in tow maybe some other time. Beelined to the paint shelf, debated on a few colors... so many pretty ones to choose from. I also had the kids picked out their fav colors in sample size cans to paint our next project. Brought home 4 different colors, a few brushes, clear wax finish and a paint roller. I was sad because we like to shop locally but their customer service was so hostile. This was 2 years ago. Recently we decided to try the store again for outdoor furniture, however, the owner did not want to work with us since we had returned the defective furniture before. I was shocked that she did not have enough confidence in her suppliers to insure that more furniture would not come in defective. As an interior designer, I am also amazed that local stores do not go the extra mile to please their customers. That is why it hurts the local economy.
