2/3 dogs recommend this place. (The third is our antisocial one who also enjoyed it, but hates pictures)

Great place. Fair price. We've taken our dogs twice now. Only complaint we have is a boarder in TN we used to use had a webcam you could log into to check on them 24/7. Since that's our biggest complaint, I'd say they did good.

I am usually not one to complain, but I feel that this needs to be shared publicly. Yesterday morning, I took my dog to Leashes and Leads to be groomed. Around 1:00 pm I received a call from them that I thought would be my notice that they were done grooming him and I could go pick him up. Unfortunately, the call was from the groomer saying that there had been "an accident," and that my dog had been cut. I was told that "the bleeding has stopped, and our vet looked at him, but he will need stitches" and to come get him. Mortified, I rushed over to Leashes and Leads to pick up my dog and although he wasn't bleeding at the time, he was shaking and appeared terrified. I was told I "wouldn't be charged for this grooming" and would receive "50% off the next grooming appointment." This, in itself, was laughable considering the horrific hack job my dog was left with. Not only did he have a gash in his neck, but two of his legs were shaved, random spots had been shaved around his body, and he had one single strip of shaved hair down the middle of his back from the base of his neck to his butt. To be told that I wouldn't be charged for this "grooming" was a giant slap in the face. I alerted the grooming receptionist that I was taking my dog to the vet for stitches and would be sending the bill to them because I would not be paying for the damage to my dog. She vehemently agreed and verbalized that the manager would be calling me very shortly that day to check in on me and my dog. The vet sedated my dog for the procedure, gave him an antibiotic injection, and placed 7 sutures in his neck, right over the jugular vein. He stated that my dog and I are very lucky, because if the cut had been only a few millimeters deeper, his jugular vein would have been nicked and he could have easily bled to death right there. Furthermore, my dog has raw patches of skin and small cuts where he was shaved much too close around his penis, anus, and two spots on his legs. I was advised by the vet to keep these clean and to try to keep my dog from licking them to avoid an infection. Needless to say, I am mortified. I am upset, incredibly mad, and sad that my sweet dog, who used to love getting groomed, has had to endure this traumatic experience. I never received a call from Leashes and Leads yesterday asking how my dog was doing or apologizing for what happened. In fact, I had to reach out to them myself in order to speak with the manager and inform her how bad this situation really could have been, in the hopes that nothing like this ever happens to another pet. The manager apologized, but noted that "these things happen." If that is the case, one would think that Leashes and Leads would be more equipped to handle the situation. I'm not a business owner, but I know that this is not how a business should be run. There was zero follow-up on their end, I had to go to a different facility to have the horrific grooming job fixed, and I can say that I will never EVER take my dog back there again. So no, I won't be needing the "50% off the next grooming appointment," thank you very much. They have yet to pay the vet bill, but I'm hoping Leashes and Leads will do one thing right and pay the $300 bill once this is all said and done. Pet owners, please be advised that grooming accidents can be fatal, and I will only be trusting my beloved pet with a company and dog groomer that takes this seriously.

We took our dog to the dog play care for half a day. He was fine when we dropped him off, but he had an injured leg that he couldn't put any weight on when we got him back. When we picked him up, they said he was fine, but when we went back and confronted them, they admitted they noticed him limping "a little bit." But when he got home, he was not limping "a little bit" - he was limping so bad we had to take him to the ER! And it was so bad that he might need surgery! No more. Our association with Leashes and Leads is done. Please read their waiver before you sign it, as they will try to use it to absolve themselves of any responsibility.

You won't find a nicer dog park in southeastern Minnesota!! I take my pup here for doggy daycare and to the park and she absolutely loves it. She gets to play with dogs her size and energy level which makes her totally pooped when I get home from work and I'm too exhausted to go for a walk . Staff are informed and truly love their customers (aka dogs)!

Anyway, we just moved to Minnesota and tried P-K Pet Resort & Spa for the first time this past weekend. Since we don't know anyone here yet, we didn't have a backup plan if things went wrong--and our pets are truly our children--so their safety and happiness were our top priorities. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed. I was invited to tour the facility and was pleasantly surprised by how clean and quiet it was. At most boarding and daycare places, you hear lots of barking and commotion, but not here. Instead, there was soothing music, TVs for visual stimulation, and every dog I saw looked happy--wagging tails, relaxing on their beds, or enjoying their private patios. We've always boarded our pups together because one of them, Newt, has separation anxiety when she's not with her brother, Samson. The staff took my concerns seriously, asking about food aggression and making sure safety came first, but they also respected my knowledge of my dogs. We agreed that if there was any problem, they'd be separated. I appreciated that balance of caution and flexibility. Our dogs got cuddle time, outside play time, and their own outdoor patio space. We also loved having access to a live camera feed--Samson especially enjoyed the patio! On top of that, we received thoughtful updates letting us know the dogs were doing well, eating, and showing no aggression, so they got to stay together. They even joked, asking if we brought the right dogs since I had been so worried beforehand. Overall, P-K went above and beyond to make us (and our pups) feel comfortable. We felt reassured, supported, and most importantly, we could see how happy our dogs were. We'll definitely be coming back.

It was heartbreaking. The staff were spectacular and they wouldn't give up. Kept giving him fresh food, talking to him. Finally broke the ice with a lick mat covered in whipped cream. They sent a picture, he had one side eye on Alex while he licked. Between the live feed, emails, and phone calls, we were able to check on his progress. What a wonderful experience. We were only going to be gone for a few days, so it was reassuring to see his progress. Once he started eating we knew everything was going to be okay. Just a great experience, much more than a business, a real service provider.

When we got our new puppy we wanted to make sure she was well socialized and used to spending days without us in case we both end up with office jobs again (I work from home). She's routinely gotten praise and she comes home the happiest and the most tired. And also stinky, but people who leave a bad review for a stinky dog are ignoring that when a dog plays hard they're rolling in dirt, water, and spit, let alone if you've got one with a penchant for sticking their head in a "stream" (Riza). For us, when we toured the facility was very clean, and they take and post pictures daily of all the pups and even with all the dogs running around all day it's always super clean. The staff are all super friendly and seem to really love their jobs -- or at least really love the dogs so you'd never know. Central Bark is also on the ball with keeping track of vaccinations & will mention if you've got something close to expiring - an added perk for sure since it's easy to miss an email from the vet. For safety reasons, Central Bark asks that you come on as regular a schedule as possible - this keeps their play groups fairly consistent and let's the dogs develop friendships and not be constantly introducing brand new dogs to each other every single day. It also helps with your own routines at home. By doing this, we've found that Riza has made her own friends and has a few doggies that she just LOVES at daycare. It's always fun to see the regulars in the pictures with her. I love them, I think their prices are reasonable and well worth it, and I hope to let Riza come to daycare for as long as we possibly can. Attached are photos from central barks Facebook page of Riza playing in their facility

I had recently gotten a puppy and booked a few ruff breaks for my older dog so I could train and work with my puppy for the 40 minutes, give or take, that the breaks take. In under 10 minutes after taking the older dog outside one day, I heard the walker and dog return already (shorting me more than a half hour walk). I busted the walker and said it's not acceptable, the dog needs his exercise, and she took him back out. I was furious, why does this company advertise for high energy dogs then take him out for under 10 minutes??!! how many times has this happened before? The owner of the company, Bert, was not concerned about it, he said the walker took the dog back outside and has been spoken to so it's not a big deal. Well I'm pleased with the new single owner company I found since that happened. I much prefer knowing who is coming into my home and being able to trust that my dogs are well cared for, not given the minimum (got to go potty) and being severely shorted (no exercise!)
