When we got our new puppy we wanted to make sure she was well socialized and used to spending days without us in case we both end up with office jobs again (I work from home). She's routinely gotten praise and she comes home the happiest and the most tired. And also stinky, but people who leave a bad review for a stinky dog are ignoring that when a dog plays hard they're rolling in dirt, water, and spit, let alone if you've got one with a penchant for sticking their head in a "stream" (Riza). For us, when we toured the facility was very clean, and they take and post pictures daily of all the pups and even with all the dogs running around all day it's always super clean. The staff are all super friendly and seem to really love their jobs -- or at least really love the dogs so you'd never know. Central Bark is also on the ball with keeping track of vaccinations & will mention if you've got something close to expiring - an added perk for sure since it's easy to miss an email from the vet. For safety reasons, Central Bark asks that you come on as regular a schedule as possible - this keeps their play groups fairly consistent and let's the dogs develop friendships and not be constantly introducing brand new dogs to each other every single day. It also helps with your own routines at home. By doing this, we've found that Riza has made her own friends and has a few doggies that she just LOVES at daycare. It's always fun to see the regulars in the pictures with her. I love them, I think their prices are reasonable and well worth it, and I hope to let Riza come to daycare for as long as we possibly can. I don't know anyone in the immediate area, so I had to rely on online reviews to pick a groomer, which made me pretty anxious. I chose Fluff & Buffs based on I think google reviews, and their closeness to our hotel. (Five minute or so walk down the street.) I called on a Sunday, and Tanya got back to me the next day. She asked me a few questions about Murry, and was able to give me an estimate of where pricing for his grooming might start, depending on whether he needed any extra work. We scheduled him for the following Saturday. My sister walked with me to take Murry to his appointment, and we both thought the facilities seemed nice. His scheduled groomer was Liz, and the way she interacted with Murry made me feel a lot more comfortable leaving him. I was really nervous about leaving him with someone I had no experience with. Liz gave me a call a couple hours later to go pick him up, and when we got there I was really happy with the results. Murry looked great - Liz had really paid attention to what kind of cut I had asked for, and the quality of her work was great. Best of all, Murry was totally calm, relaxed, and happy. He didn't act as though he'd been through any stress at all. Liz is awesome! The cost ended up being a little lower than the initial estimate, which was already reasonable for a standard poodle. I was super grateful for that. All in all, this was an excellent experience. If for some reason I find myself in Rochester again with a dog needing to be groomed, I'll be calling Fluff & Buff. Five stars well deserved.

I…read moreonly found out they added an extra fee after I asked why the total cost is higher than usual. Didn't groom his ears at all. His face fur was cut uneven. And when I asked why the price was higher than usual, they told me it took longer because he was scared and the matted fur. This was his 4th time there and I never had that feedback. Additionally, they called me in the middle of his grooming to ask if I wanted to pay extra to remove his matted fur or just shave it down. I said to shave it down, and yet, they charge me extra for the matted fur and still shaved him down. He typically got groomed by Naomi who was wonderful. Found out she works at petco north - I will be bringing my dog over there for future grooming. Plus it's cheaper. This place is too overpriced for the minimal work that they do. I paid about $100 for a 26 pound dog. I advise others just looking for another location. Not worth the cost.

Without the availability of local doggy daycare we decided to get our Chihuahua groomed at Petco. We've never seen our normally. anxious Chihuahua so calm. Rose knew how to handle an anxious dog. The grooming, nail trimming, etc. was perfect in quality, and our dog was not a nervous wreck. Thanks Rose and Petco! We'll see you again.

"well we have other dogs ahead of her". Then don't book grooming appointments so close together if it means my dog is going to be sitting in a kennel for 2 hours waiting for her turn. It's stressful for my dog especially when she's in a store she's not used to and not a groomer she is used to. Very upset with how they run things.
