The mindfulness curriculum resonates and stays with them, and simple phrases and strategies help them cope with challenging situations. Math used to be almost impossible, and is now our 7 year old's best subject, and we are tackling reading next. Their handwriting is also much improved! The boys look forward to tutoring every week! Before enroll jefco even notified my Megan was contacting me to guide me, answer questions, be of any assistance and set up a walk-through to check out the school. During the enrollment process she checked in and updated me frequently. At registration completion they had everything organized and the entire staff was helpful, friendly and welcoming. Another reason I was interested in this school is the class sizes, they are small allowing note attention to my childs learning with the teachers not having to focus on 16 students at a time. My son loses interest quickly if he isnt involved or doesnt feel included so I look forward to the advancements he will make with his teacher and 8-11 fellow classmates. Im grateful to be apart of this community so far and having my son in a school I feel comfortable with leaving him at during the day was my main priority. In my opinion, it was a great fit for him after having had multiple life changes over the previous few years. (divorce, multiple moves, so on) The small class sizes here allow teachers to gain a perspective on students that a typical classroom, quite simply, probably wouldn't allow. I thoroughly appreciated the insights teachers provided during P/T conferences. They gave not only academic but social insights into my son's life that I would not have otherwise had. (Don't tell him I said that ) Having said all of that, he decided to go to elsewhere for his high school years. Whether or not it's a good decision for him remains to be seen. In any case, I would urge parents (and their students!) to consider Collegiate Academy. As parents we must help our kids decide what is best for them at a given time. The beauty of Jeffco is this ability to have options. We haven't had this option presented so cleanly to us in any other school system. Please check them out.

I have watched the directors make tough decisions and they have always done so in the best interest of the families. We are grateful for the way they handled COVID, ensuring that parents were a part of the re-opening decision and have taken the necessary precautions by making changes to ensure the safety and health of our children. I have referred friends and family members to them. The teachers also love my son. I originally chose Great Escape because they seemed to be the only place taking a September birthday at age one (part time). I am grateful for their care and flexibility. This summer they have had elementary care available too in which they have brought in special activities such as putt putt golf and oversized blocks for construction building contests.

I asked how long does it take for referrals to be processed and she said 48-72 business hours, and I replied, but that does not equal 6 weeks? She apologized for my concern and I interrupted her and said, it's not a concern, how is this even acceptable for Children's Hospital special needs center for Children and she replied "you didn't even want this referral, correct?" and I said "not ever with this type of service!" and hung up. Special care centers charge insurance/individuals bogus amounts of money and this is what we get? Good to know.... NEGATIVE 10 STARS
