After my sister suffered a traumatic brain injury, I looked into what we could do to help with her personal rehab 7 years ago and came across this program which had proven results and knew that I wanted to be a part of this system, at first to selfishly help my sister's condition improve, but then later to also assist as many others as I could by helping to strengthen their cognition in a fun and motivational way. My 8-year-old daughter was really struggling with school and acting out in really stressful ways at home. Although her teacher was not worried about her academically and was thrilled with her social-emotional development, at home, we were suffering. My son completed LearningRx 4 yrs ago- sweet boy had such trouble with reading. He was labeled as a sight reader and not dyslexic. I was at my wits end and the school performed a digit span test. Horrid results. I researched LearningRx very deeply. What got me hooked was the success with military head injuries. The company tested him and low and behold his long term memory and short term memory were dismal to say the least. 6 months later he felt like superman. His post testing was stellar!!! Here is the rub though- he did have learning gaps from years of minimal long term memory. We put in the work and filled them slowly. His standardized testing scores are superb, he is getting A's in middle school at a prestigious private school in Buckhead. He writes and speaks Chinese. Since he knew failure he is not afraid to dig in and hammer out the studying. This program worked for my son and 2 of his friends. What it is not is a magic session where one doesn't have to keep finger on the child for a bit. This memory brain training saved my sons inner self. He can achieve and does every day. My 13 yr old completed the program a few months ago, with outstanding results! What I didn't expect was to see results as quickly as we did, which was right after he began the sessions. We thought he had reading problems, but it was actually a symptom of slow processing speed. Once the brain training increased his processing speed, he was able to read and complete his classwork, homework, and tests much quicker. It was amazing to watch his progress. His self esteem has soared. My son is diagnosed with ADD & OCD. Because of this and his slowness with reading and test taking, he had a 504 in school (individual accomodation) which allowed him additional time on tests. However, soon after he started the Learning Rx program, he didn't need the extra time. At the end of the program, we took him off of his ADD medications, and he's doing great! I went to LearningRX as a college student after seeing multiple successes within my family. I was struggling bad as a science major trying to keep up with the workload. I was a little uneasy about going the route of my younger cousins with learningRX because I was older and thought I should be able to handle the workload I am getting. I learned quickly no matter what your skill level is or what your weak points are LearningRX is so incredibly patient and caters to what you need help with the most. I did LearningRX for a whole summer and my GPA in college raised almost an entire point from the semester before I did LearningRX. The brain skills that LearningRX taught me allowed me to approach school in a whole different way. Both my children, ages 10 and 12, completed the program and we are very pleased and excited about the results that we saw during and after the training. We had a wonderful experience with all the trainers as well as with the directors from the program. Both our children showed excelled results in their IQ and all of the cognitive skills. They both showed increased interest in doing better in school, confidence and more independence in homework and studying for tests. LearningRX has provided an amazing experience for our oldest son. At an early age he was diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and later auditory processing disorder. We've almost completed our 24 week program and we have seen significant improvement in his confidence, reading fluency and math skills. His ability to think quickly was non-existent before. Now he can recite all of the presidents in less than 10 seconds! His grades have improved tremendously. He went from reading on the lowest class level to the highest in three months! I have been a student since August. I think LearningRx is a good place to go for brain training because they have very supportive trainers, fun exercises, and a great waiting room with lots of activities.
