I will forever be grateful to Cumberland Academy of Georgia. My son transferred to Cumberland in…read morehis junior year. I was very apprehensive because change can often be a huge challenge for neurodivergent children. But from the moment you walk inside the school, you feel the warm welcome and see the caring way that the children are treated. Every morning, the owner, Mrs. Scarborough, the principal, and several of the teachers are out front welcoming the children as they walk through the door. At the end of the school day, those same people are out front, ensuring that each child is safely getting into their assigned cars. And the teachers are AMAZING! My son received a great education, exceptional support, as well as valuable lessons in life from teachers whom I felt treated him as if he were their own. One of the best things that I loved was the diversity of students. Because the children all have learning exceptionalities, they all "get each other," so I never received those dreaded phone calls from the school about major meltdowns or bullying. The teachers and in-house counselors are extremely proactive in working directly with the children to resolve their differences, so my son felt safe, secure, and right at home from the first week that he got there. It's a great feeling to go to work and not worry about your child at school, so I was very relieved that he had "found his tribe". Their athletic department is outstanding. And Coach Carlock is amazing! He is patient, encouraging, and a tremendous self-esteem builder for any child that wants to play sports. And the coaching staff ensures that ALL of the children get a chance to participate in sports that they never dreamed they could play. My son participated in track, basketball, bowling, and golf. Two of these sports he had never tried before but became confident in his skills after receiving so much encouragement from all of the coaches. As the parent of a neurodivergent child, I am extremely proud to say that Cumberland Academy of Georgia instilled a level of confidence and self-esteem that I had always hoped for my son to have. The proof that they are an exceptional school is that my son was accepted and is currently attending Morehouse College. Morehouse College is considered one of the country's top elite historically black colleges and universities (HBCU). Parents of neurodivergent kids are often happy just seeing our kids make it through high school, so it was such a tremendous accomplishment that my son could attend such a prestigious school. Cumberland gave him the tools and the confidence to succeed there, and I am happy to say that he has successfully completed his first semester! Thank you Cumberland!

Guess they had more clients come in . Not very good business practice to play games with autistic children and parents, when things are difficult enough

So glad I chose 1 Act for my driving lessons (wanted a refresher). Thank you Jamaica for making…read morethe lessons a great learning experience. Professional and full 2 hour lessons.

I signed up for a risk reduction class in December with the classes beginning on Monday, 1/12/26. I…read moredidn't receive the link until Friday 1/9/26 explaining that a workbook was needed (physical or virtual). I requested a physical workbook due to my eyesight and was told to be at the Duluth office to pick it up on Monday by 4:00 (they are not open on weekends) on the day of the class (1/12/26). I left work early and arrived by 4:00 only to find they were closed. I was told the office manager left early and I had to view the workbook electronically. That was just the first red flag. I realized early in the class that the instructor did not seem to like me by his responses to my answers to some of his questions. I was trying to show that I was present and participating, but he was condescending and he belittled/berated me if he disagreed with my responses. By the last day, he questioned in class if the children that I work with even like me (the classes are recorded). This was personally not a positive experience for me. I would not recommend. Finally, the communication appears to be primarily via text messages, and the beginning of the thread seems to be automated (at least over the weekend) since I asked questions that were never answered and the responses were generic. It asked if wanted to participate in another program, but when I asked what it was, I didn't receive an answer. If you text them with issues during the week, an actual person will respond, it just takes a while.
