Springfield Learning Tree has been a God-send for over 3 years. They found a way to work us into the exact time - slot we needed and were extremely helpful when it was time to go full time 2 years ago. Our daughter has thrived every year under the excellent, qualified care of each of her teachers in the different classrooms. She has learned how to treat others both younger and older with respect and kindness. She has a strong concept of reading, can count over 120 on her own, knows all her colors, days of the week and so much more. She is ahead of the game and more than ready for kindergarten. The staff all communicate well, leaving notes, updating the kids report system, writing accident reports as needed with full details and more. They all treat her and us with kindness, caring and endearing respect. I have had my daughter spend the night a few times with her teacher when we needed to be out of town and it was a wonderful, safe and comfortable solution. Regarding cost /benefit: tuition is reasonable, affordable and includes delicious and healthy food, every day, breakfast, lunch and snacks. They are very good about being flexible where they can and being kind when they can't be in terms of payment or policy. The safety of the kids and staff come first, always and I have seen them work closely with difficult behaviors and hard situations with successful outcomes. They know what real effort is. My initial feel for the place was good, they sell themselves really well. Security code to get in, someone at the front desk, cameras, etc....Good stuff. We took our daughter here for about 2 months. That was 2 months too long. I've never seen my daughter get sick so many times in such a short time span. It was ridiculous. There's so many kids at this place, there's no individual attention unless a kids throwing a fire truck at another kid. There's a quick over view of the place...and here's the straw that broke the camels back.... I came in one day to get my daughter. I realized that I forgot the code to get in this place. I thought to myself, "Hmmm How do I get into a secure childcare facility? I know! I can watch the person infront of me enter the code, and they'll probably hold the door open for me too..." That's exactly what happened. But hey, there's a person at the front desk right? Nope! I walked in, went down the hallway and seen my daughter who had just woke up from a nap. She ran to me, I tossed her up in the air and put her on my hip. Puzzled as all hell, I looked around......not one person was watching her. In fact, all the adults were out back with other kids. As my blood started to boil, I had a moment of clarity. I decided to simply leave. I didn't notify any adults, I didn't even sign her out. I simply walked out of the door with my kid. I was expecting a call or SOMETHING to make sure that we got our child, we didn't hear a damn thing from them. Now on the flip side.......If my intentions were to steal a child, I could've snuck in, grabbed the first kid I seen and jammed out the front door. As a parent, I can give 200 shits less about a security camera. GREAT!! You have footage of my child being abducted. That really helps! Now I can watch it over and over again and torment my self, while wondering why nobody was around to protect her. I shared this information with my wife and by the following Monday we had alternate arangements made. This place is not managed well, they are WAY over priced ($750 for 1 child), and ever since I walked in and took my kid without anyone EVER noticing? Yeah, you messed that one up, I hope all parents in Eugene/Springfield read this review. It can only help protect their little ones. read more

We had heard good things about the school and signed up on their waiting list and were very excited when we finally got in. It went very well initially until they began having high turnover of teachers. As time went by we constantly overheard the main front desk lady gossip about certain kids or their parents which was uncomfortable. The owner seemed very sweet but then we witnessed how she disciplines the children on a bench at the front desk and let's just say it's not discreet nor sweet. We quickly learned it's not really a structured school environment as we were led to believe. read more

I am writing an update seeing it has been 8 months since my last update and my prior review has been "filtered" after being "flagged". The day I wrote my review, the original parent who wrote the negative review wrote me a private message and I chose to ignore it. I tend to do that when people write me after you reference them. Sure enough after reading the message today 8 months later and seeing that a wonderful center such as Learning Tree still had 1 very undeserving star, I saw that he in fact wrote that "I guarantee that my review will hold up ;-)" basically because he was going to flag mine and ensure it was hidden, penalizing a very wonderful group of teachers and owner. When I first registered in November, I initially intended on leaving quite a bit of feedback but I had quite a bit of back surgery and was dealing with a husband that is in the military. Issues such as worry, daily life and my 2 small boys became more important then every day posting of reviews of restaurants, bars and vacation destinations.... Because of that, somehow my review seems to take on less relevance and importance in the eyes of Yelp. On a happier note my Pre-K son has now gone through Kindergarten and was at the top of his class throughout the year. My now "Honeybee" son is about to be in a Pre-K class and is already doing what my older son did at this time last summer at the same age when we first moved to Learning Tree from another school. We asked the teachers recently to spend a little extra time reading with our older son and instantly saw improvement in his reading skills and comprehension. My overall impression and admiration has only gone up in the prior 8 months and I am so happy that we are in a position to keep them in the after school program with their friends in the coming year even though we are out of district. My soon to be 1st grader has been going on field trips EVERY DAY and tomorrow is his weekly Ballroom dancing class. I can't even begin to tell you how precious it is to see him show us what he is learning each week. ***I wanted to mention, while going through multiple surgeries with an Active Duty Soldier husband who is away quite a bit, I was amazed beyond all belief when multiple teachers offered to come to my home at 6:30 am to pick up my boys to bring them to school each day so I could recover and get some rest without having to get up and drive them into town (A full half an hour out of the way before they even get to work!) The care and concern I have seen Donna and the teachers extend to parents and more importantly the children is just amazing.*** I am a firm believer in you get what you put forth and I surround myself with loving, thoughtful and generous people of all walks of life. If that is too "Paid advertisement" like for Yelp, then I don't know what else to say. I'm not a Used Car Salesman. I'm a disabled mom who loves who and what she loves and I love Learning Tree because they love my 2 boys wholeheartedly. read more

THIS PLACE IS GREAT!! My daughter loves going to preschool now. She's opened up and is more social than ever. She learned her ABC's weeks after starting, and after years of in home preschool from her last provider. I am thankful for the entire staff, they are all nice and genuine people.
