It's cute in there and the quality of product is great. Today, I was there with my potty-training 3 year old and 6 year old, shopping for a couple of birthday presents. The 3 year old needed to potty. The employees told us that they didn't have a bathroom. I said, "I come here all the time. I know you have a bathroom. I've used it." They unapologetically stated that the owner told them no bathroom use for customers. I was confused. They were matter-of-fact and insistent that this is the policy of the owner. I said, "This is a shop for little kids. You don't let kids use the bathroom?" They insisted no- that it was the policy of the owner. If this is true (I can't image they were lying to me), I just can't support the place. My three year old peed her pants while we were still in there. I spent the last $130 I will ever spend at Toy Division. Now I'll make the drive to Montclair to shop local for kids toys.

(To be clear - it was not Toy Division's fault at all, definitely an issue with the item manufacturer, and it would not have been visible until you removed the item from its packaging.) I didn't want to bother the gift giver with it so I figured I would check with Toy Division just in case they could help, but honestly I'd already mentally chalked it up to an unfixable bummer and was prepared to move on. To my surprise I got an email response within a few hours, and after a brief and very helpful email exchange with Indira, I had a brand-new replacement item coming my way directly from the manufacturer! I'm so, so happy that I'll be able to use this lovely present, and I'm equally thrilled with the friendliness, speed, and effectiveness of the Toy Division team. Pricing: The prices can vary depending on what kind of item you are looking to purchase. Some items are bit overpriced for no reason at all. Items: They have all sorts of items from Funko pops, plushies, video games, hot wheels, Pokemon cards, and etc. The staff: They do not know where the items come from and say that people just sell them anything. When you ask them about selling a toy to them, they give you mixed information. One staff member said to contact them on Facebook on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Another staff member said to contact them on Instagram on Monday and Thursday. When you ask them if it would be cash or store credit they say either is fine. They also do not guarantee that your item can be sold to them even though they say that they buy anything and everything. Overall: The staff members should be knowledgeable about their store and the items they buy and sell. This store is good if you want to buy something once or twice but not all time due to the high pricing for some items.

They have a really great message and seem to be conscious of being inclusive. They have books from different cultures (I found a really good one about Ganesh, an important Hindu God), a Black Lives Matter sign in the window, and the customer service is top notch. I arrived a few minutes before opening and was willing to wait, but the woman working inside saw me and immediately unlocked the door. She was very friendly not just with me but with the kids in the store. It's such a warm, bright and friendly environment. You can find so many things here including toys, books, large items like ice cream making stands and rocking horses, costumes, legos, puzzles, art and other creation making kits, stuffed animals. It's nicely set up, bright and welcoming. The prices are also reasonable. They provide wrapping and choice of ribbon color as well. They continually change what they have in stock and stay relevant with the seasons and holidays. One minor concern, there are steps and interior space is tight, so the shop might not be considered handicap accessible. They have the largest selection of Pop Vinyl's I've seen in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The shop also has enough options at all price points to keep everyone happy and prices are clearly displayed. As soon as you enter, behind the counter are the most valuable Pop's in the shop. Against another wall towards the middle are the mid-range value ones. The rest of the shop is stacked from floor to ceiling with Pop's from every possible genre, with everything being clean and organized. New releases are kept in their own special section for easy access. Rest of the shop includes a room with mostly manga that has a nice selection. They have a wall full of action figures with a good selection and prices clearly marked. Shop has stuff everywhere, so don't be afraid to explore, or be surprised by what you find. Staff were friendly and helpful. This shop meets all expectations for anyone buying Pop Vinyl's and is a must stop.

It does have other items for sale though, such as books and some specialty items. In fact, I'm not sure if I'd describe it as a toy store with books or a book store with toys. If you're bringing your children, they will be loading up their cart, so be careful. It's very easy to spend a lot of money here very quickly. The day we took our granddaughter they were featuring items made by Schleich. Their big attraction Memorial Day weekend was a small scale, yet still large by kid standards, motorized T-Rex.
