We had asked to learn as much about sailing as we could, so we got to work crewing the boat, hoisting sails, tying knots, manning the rudder, and learning what "lower the boom" means. Under supervision, my son and I sailed all the way back, keeping the sails trimmed and the heading aligned with our waypoints. Great fun. It was wonderful to be out in the quiet where the only sounds are the hull slicing through the waves and the sheets in the wind. Saw lots of dolphins, too. The Captain is a character, friendly as all get out, and happy to explain anything that you might be curious about. He's passionate about conservation and the environment, and he knows the history of boating and the bay. He may try talking you into getting a handsome sailor Polynesian tattoo, but but who knows - maybe you might want one.

Captain Thomas was delightful and did a great job making sure we saw plenty of wildlife. We cruised close to a rookery and a large flock of roseate spoonbills took flight. It was a truly awe inspiring sight. I've seen other reviews complaining about the boat but I didn't book this sailing trip to pussyfoot around in a yacht. We all got to help with boat a little bit and we got fantastic photos. It was a super fun and relaxing excursion.

The pirate crew is very engaging and get into character. The boarding process was very seamless and they provide instruction when entering and exiting the ship to keep everyone safe. The ship looks exactly like what you would expect a red pirate ship to look like. They have plenty of covered and open searing to choose from. There is an adult searing area but it does tend to fill up quickly. The ship has a bar and offers a variety of cocktails, drinks and snacks. They don't allow outside food onboard. They have a variety of activities planned for the kiddos to keep them entertained. My nephews particularly liked the treasure hunting portion where they weee able to collect hidden golden coins and other treasures like beaded necklaces throughout the ship. They also had swashbuckling, sword fighting and just the general banter to keep adults entertained. The kids all looked like they were having a blast and making new friends. We did see a few dolphins but definitely not as many as when on the dolphin cruise. There are times when the music is blasting pretty loud when you get a break from the stimulation from the interaction during activities. I wasn't sure what to expect but they did a great job keeping both adults and kids entertained through an engaging adventure. I would recommend this experience if you are in or around Port A.

We went to 3 different spots. I wish we could have switched to try some sharks but I think they were waiting to max out on snappers and there were a few people not catching anything so we never did. Overall we had a super fun trip. We went back last weekend with my husband, son, and daughter. No one else had signed up for the 8hr trip so we got bumped to the 4hr. We were a little disappointed but I guess you can't control those types of things. Headed out about an hour. As soon as we dropped our lines me and my son's gf hooked bonnethead sharks! After that my hubby, and daughter caught one each. We hooked some bait fish and my hubby hooked a Mangrove Snapper. Only my son didn't catch anything. We all still really enjoyed ourselves! We can't wait to plan another trip! Both trips, all the guys were super nice and helpful. Sometimes you have to wait a bit if everyone's catching at the same time, but they try to get to you as fast as possible to unhook your fish and rehook your line if it snapped. Thanks for making both trips extremely enjoyable!!! We'll be back!

At each location the captain( overweight dude w long ponytail) kept drifting and couldn't stay on top of the fish which I believe resulted in us not catching very many fish. At one point as I was lying down in the passenger area as we were heading back I saw the captain run down into the men's restroom twice leaving no one in the wheelhouse as the boat was running! That's what a milk jug is for! Gonna try Fisherman's Wharf next time. As you can see in the video provided the fish was very slim pickings due to the captains inability to stay on top of the fish! He kept drifting!
