He is great to work with and is a great source of information! We rented three kayaks on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. The equipment is in great shape and the service is super. I will be back again! Thanks Hector

Captain Pete was absolutely wonderful! We've done fishing charters in Mexico, Key West, Louisiana…read moreand beyond, and our experience with Captain Pete was by far the BEST! We caught our limits on Black Drum and Speckled Trout, and even got 2 Redfish (we overhead on the radio that no one else was catching Reds that week). Our great day was due to his expertise, assistance and let's be honest - patience with us (as we don't fish often). He had some great spots already known to him in the bay and knew exactly what kind of bait to use for each fish to maximize our potential. We went fishing at the end of June 2026 just for reference, and overall our half day was just perfection and we would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a fishing charter in the Port Aransas area. www.https://islandboycharters.com/

They didn't check names or IDs. They didn't give us directions because we booked online. So if you book online don't expect anything more than the location of the port. The owner was "in church" so I should have called him before he went into church according to him. No apology, no offer for a free ride later. Had to insist on a refund. I called 6 times over a half hour after our reservation time. No answer. A man texted me to meet him and when the owner called the owner didn't even know who the man was even though they guy was a driving an SUV with the name of the company on the side of it. They said our reservation was at 12PM which it was not. The worst part is they GAVE the jetski we paid for to someone we actually knew!! So they paid for one jetski and got ours other for free. We paid and got nothing. Not even an apology from the company. Wasted multiple hours we could have spent on the beach.

We saw many other birds (the captain called them out) and dolphins. The boat holds at least 30 guests and has both open observation decks and enclosed seating below. Wear non-slip shoes and bring binoculars, a hat, and a jacket. There are small toilets on board, and we were served drinks and basic snacks. Y'all, Captain Chris Loudon is a great guide. We were a group of two adults and two ten-year-olds…read more We did a half-day a.m. trip and Chris put us on the fish all morning long. We were running late, but Chris was very patient with us. We are novices so Chris baited the line for us and did our (very professional) casting. We just watched the line and reeled 'em in! Chris was great with the kids; they hooked and reeled in a 28" and 29" Red Drum, all the while Chris coached them on how to handle it, without taking over for them. In just a few hours (we cut our trip short as one of the kiddos got sick), we reeled in seven Speckled Trout, the two aforementioned Reds, and a Skipjack (I think that's what it was). In addition, we had a 32" Red on the line, and a shark, both of whom snapped our lines and got away. I can't even count all the trout that must have gotten away due to our mis-attention to our lines. We even saw some dolphins...real excitement! Chris had great equipment and was fun to hang out with...my family gives him 8 thumbs up! I can imagine Chris would be a great guide regardless of your group makeup.
