They said he really had a great time, although he didn't see dolphins. Later the same day, my younger son and I stopped in so I could take pictures. We parked by the observation tower and went up the stairs to see the view. We saw boats and dolphins on our visit. I especially enjoyed watching the comings and goings of the ferry boats. This is a beautiful park. Besides the observation tower, they have a play area and a fishing pier. It was too hot and humid for me to stay much longer than we did, but in cooler weather, it would be fun to just sit on a pier and watch the boats coming and going for a few hours.

Mike D, more than likely, snubbed his "1%'r" nose at the place because it is rustic and not a high-end overpriced company. It sounds as though he couldn't bare to go into the water and stayed in the rustic place throughout the day while his friends left him. After all, this is just a place for you to be picked up or launched from not spend the night. I would recommend this place so long as you have an open mind and not a bigoted closed mind like Mike D. We had a blast and our fish was cleaned for us right in front of us. They even took the time to explain what parts of the fish to watch out for and how to safely eat them.

My imagination is a little too wild for the open sea and the thought of sharks and wild animals bigger than me freaks me out! When we first started going out on the water, I was nervous. Capt. Doug was awesome though, he gently broke us into deeper and choppier water making sure that both or legs and stomachs could handle the constant movements. It didn't take very long before my husband caught his first fish. Less than a minute actually! He dropped his line in the water, and BAAM!! There was a giant Redfish on the hook. Well after that, we were ready for more. Further and deeper we went until we ended up next to two large shrimping boats. That's when the fun really started. Kingfish, sharks, dolphin, sea turtles. It was like they were putting on a show. I have never had very good experiences at the beach, better yet on the water, but Capt. Doug really knew how to entertain and keep the energy up. I would recommended him to anyone, young or old, man or woman, experienced fishermen or newbies like myself. We had a blast.
