Upon inspecting my orthodontic issues, Dr. Bowen made a noise and gesture indicating her disgust and alarming surprise. She proceeded to tell me that I should have gotten orthodontic work as a child. I felt that Dr. Bowen's bedside manner lacked empathy and professionalism. I would urge anyone who has a degree of self consciousness regarding their teeth to not utilize Dr. Bowen. She will likely leave you feeling worse than when you arrived. Dr. Bowen did provide some logical feedback regarding potential corrective actions, however, my distaste for the way she treated me outweighed my respect for her professional opinion.

Upon my departure they gave me a little mug with goodies and a really GOOD Oral-B toothbrush... like the kind that you personally buy and not the corny toothbrush dentist offices usually give out. During the initial visit he did everything himself-including X-rays and cleaning. He was incredibly kind, checking in every 30 seconds or so-or if he saw a flinch to say "You ok?" Throughout the entire process. Meanwhile, his assistants are in the room, understanding how uncomfortable I was saying things like "Good job." "Almost done" I'll be seeing him several more times and I know that each time I go, I'll be in good hands in a very non judgemental and compassionate environment. Also, it's a small intimate office as opposed to some of the "processing" dental facilities I've been to. Both times, I was taken in EARLY for a visit. Cannot recommend enough.

I scheduled my appointment for 3h30pm for an emergency…read more(I had my crown lose in front of my mouth, I am bleeding with pus in my mouth so I worried about infection). I got there 10 minutes early to get ready for my appointment. They called me in around 3h40 and went to the room and waited, waited till 4h15 or so when the doctor came in. No excuses about the delay, just plain and simple " please sit" (by the way, I sent my files from a previous appoitnment around 10 am today, so he could take a look). After back and forth communication, around 4h30 he said he needed to attend another patient while he was thinking about my case. All right....after 1h being there, it sounds fair right? Then around 20 minutes later he came in again and we came to a conclusion: I will have to wait a week to get my mold done. Then I asked him, do you think I can wait a week like these? He was silent.....anyway....Then we jumped to a fast solution and he said he would bring someone to give me price and so on....another 15 minutes and nobody came (even when I asked two times where was the person to give me pricing). I could hear the employees chatting in the hallway, but nobody came to speak with me. By 5h30 I decided to leave - 2h in the office and I left worse than I arrived. The office was pretty busy I must confess, but my experience was horrible. How would anyone like to stay 2h in the office with an emergency and leave empty handed to look for another dentist in the day after?

Yes, I saw the 'towing' sign in the iSmile lot, but didn't think they'd really tow @ 9:00 pm on a Saturday night when the dental office was dark. But, yes...they did tow my car. I understand restricting your lot to your staff & patients during your open hours, but towing when you're closed? That's just not friendly or neighborly at all. I'll look elsewhere for my cleanings and certainly will be sharing my story.
