I have seen this place but never walked in until today when my son asked if there was an arts and…read morecrafts place to go to and I jumped on the "yep Hollister has that" train. Normally I would have to go out of the area to please his artistic side but thankfully our little town has something for all ages to satisfy their needs to be creative. Upon walking in you are adorned with many locals art pieces I.e. hand crafted gems that you can't get at target or tj maxx (I'm 100% in favor of supporting local). While my son was doing his art work I decided to "browse" which turned into a mini shopping spree. There are so many unique things here and I love the atmosphere. The owner is kind and has many plans for the future that I'm looking forward to as many businesses don't last long. I hope this business lasts a long time because it's unique age friendly and supports local artists which is rare in an Amazon to your door world. Prices are reasonable especially for a small family owned business.

Chef David was very friendly and well prepared for his class of six (four adults and two childern). The class was a nice mix of demo and hands on. It was nicely paced -- no rushing around trying to get things done with plenty of time to ask questions and socialize. I learned a couple of culinary hacks that I plan to use with my own baking at home. Class ended on time and we all left with plenty of delicious desserts! Thank you, Chef David, for a great experience!

No one from the framing center was there so the manager instructed me to return on Thursday between 12:00pm - 5:00pm. I told them I would not return and that they had competitors and that is where my business would go. Ridiculous.

He told me that he will have my shirts shipped out after week 2. I waited and waited just to have him tell him that he cannot do it and that he is going to "refund" me back my money. I kept calling him but Joel decided to be unprofessional and kept denying my calls. But instead texted me. Telling me that he cannot do my shirts and hats because he is too busy. Well if you were too BUSY in the first place, why do collect my money and waste A MONTH of my time!! Then he told me that i can wait another two weeks to get my shirts done, but i'm sure i would've waited for nothing so i declined. Apparently i "threaten" him by saying i better get my money back that night. He told me that he will refund me back by the end of December!! Luckily my bank helped me out by getting my money back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Unless you want to waste your time and money just waiting around for something that will never show up. Oh and by the way. He blocked me on instagram. Which suckered me in immediately with its bright vibrant colors and welcoming atmosphere. The owner was very curious why I was snapping so many photos. With as little knowledge that I have of Gilroy, I noticed immediately there's so much potential for this shop. With more exposure and recognition within the Gilroy community, "Mexican arts and crafts" fanatics have the opportunity to dash in! I totally fell in loooove with Artemex! The cute souvenirs that I know are staples in Mexico are here!!... In Gilroy! How cool is that!?!!! So many hand-crafted items that are perfect for gifts! Though everything is totally overpriced, I appreciated the intricate details of the beaded necklace, cute Frida coin purse with a sturdy zipper, and a commemorative magnet that resembles a dragon to me. The magnet has another meaning to it to Spanish-speaking people but I wasn't able to gather the story and meaning of it. This is the spot if you're into a tourist-like experience miles away from actually being physically in a Spanish-speaking country. It's been a long week so walking around and making selections in this store helped ease my overloaded mind after midterms.
