I purchased my last 2 homes with Jenny Rose Arcuni. Both times were great and she made it an enjoyable process for us!

If you are buying a house, or even thinking about buying a house, start with Jeff. He'll tell you…read morewhat finances and paperwork you need to get done, when, and in what order. He will be honest with you throughout -- always direct and never smarmy. He will return every call and text. He will help you understand the whole process, even the stuff you didn't know that you didn't know. He'll send you matches through the app and respond to your comments so when you are finally ready, he knows what you're looking for. Jeff will take you to see houses and will teach you about looking for water in the basement, checking out drainage and the foundation, warning signs and potential 'challenges', as well as being able to answer your questions about septic vs cesspool, how much electric you really need, sussing out if there is gas on the street (for a later stove conversion), and telling you how old the roof is just by looking at it. And any other questions you might have! If he doesn't know the answer, he will find out. He is so thorough and eagle-eyed that you can get excited about the hardwood floors and eat-in kitchen, knowing that Jeff will spot EVERYthing you need to be aware of. He's also really personable which helps when you're spending entire weekend days with someone. We had one crushing disappointment along the way -- not his fault -- and Jeff's straightforward "Okay, that's in the past, let's move forward" attitude was key in getting us right back out there (and we found our house THAT weekend.) He will guide you through the entire process, through closing, and make you feel -- the whole time -- pretty much like you are his only client. Once you close, and you need an electrician, a floors guy, a painter, whatever, Jeff 'has a guy' and if he doesn't, he won't quit until he finds you someone. We would use Jeff again in a second and wholeheartedly recommend him!

Most agents were pleasant but as soon as I walked into an open house and met Jeanne DeFrisco, we had a very comfortable connection. She is very knowledgeable about the real estate business and offered suggestions in the house we saw. She contacted us to meet and asked what we were looking for. We proceeded to give her our wish list and she was already on the search. Jeanne came prepared to that first meeting with school listings, upcoming open houses in various areas which our home was one listed. After seeing the house, we knew it was ours. Jeanne got right on to get paperwork going for our offer. She was aggressive but in a very flattering way. I can tell you I hesitate and get nervous at times and I'm guessing she sensed it but she comforted me and said this is your house. Let's go get it. And, we did! I had to go on a week long business trip after our offer was accepted and she was on the phone getting us a home inspector who was detailed and a nice guy before I had to leave. She moved quickly for us and put me in touch with a mortgage guy who was also great. She kept in touch often then we had the waiting game to get a closing date. She made sure things of concern were brought up and addressed. Jeanne is a true professional, knowledgeable, smart and a go-getter. Honestly, I wanted to own a home for so long and when we saw the home we purchased, she encouraged me to move forward (I was really nervous for the process) and she did everything she could to make it happen. I am truly grateful to Jeanne. She also knows all the good places to dine in the area so she's useful that way too. I highly recommend Jeanne DeFrisco of Netter Real Estate. She is fantastic and is a sweet lady! I am so happy she was representing me and my family. Excellent realtor!

I had an extremely negative experience with this agent at an open house for 174 S Windsor Ave,…read moreBrightwaters, NY 11718. When I asked two very standard questions -- 'How old is the roof?' and 'Was there ever any work done to resolve the water issue in the basement?' -- instead of answering, the agent became condescending and said to me: 'You are too cheap. You tried to buy this property for too cheap, but got rejected so now you are here to take apart the house. I have dealt with people like you before. If not in person, then on paper.' For context, this property was originally listed at $1.4M and had dropped multiple times -- to $1.1M, then $899K, then $849K, and finally $799K. I submitted an offer of $750K, which is only 6% below asking and, importantly, represents a price per-square-feet higher than what other comparable homes in the area are selling for. Rather than treat this as a reasonable negotiation, the agent mocked the offer and dismissed me. During the open house itself, the agent escalated further by demanding that we leave the open house immediately, and as I was walking out, he slammed the door behind me. This behavior was insulting, hostile, and unprofessional. An agent's role is to represent the seller while treating prospective buyers with basic respect. Real estate agents are expected to negotiate offers respectfully, regardless of whether they or their client find the offer acceptable. Instead, this agent drove away a serious buyer with rudeness and personal attacks, ultimately working against the seller's best interest. This agent treated us like trash and acted as if our $750K had no value. If you value professionalism, transparency, and respect, I would strongly advise avoiding this agent.

It was during the beginning of corona and he was slow to return calls and didn't seem too interested in helping us out. Mary was the complex opposite. When viewing houses, she knows what to look for and knows what to ask their agent. We found our house with a few weeks! Thanks for your help. Btw, the negative reviews below are from nasty individuals who have an unfounded gripe and have never used Mary for real estate purposes. It's too that people will stop to such a low level.

She never showed the house. My husband and I showed the house every time. My husband and I conducted several open houses without any agents When we had a buyer ready to go into contact, she did not vette the buyer to make sure they could afford the house, or recommend any incentives to the buyer. She new nothing about any prospective buyer, sometimes she didn't know that we had a showing. When I requested a conference call with the Broker (Mary Adams) she was extremely rude and completely unprofessional. The marketing was extremely poor. They would not let us out of our contract. Needless to say, we wasted 9 months with this broker. The worst experience with a real estate agency ever. They complained that my house was priced too high, so I guess that gave them liberty to dismiss my listing. I cannot and will not recommend them to anyone.
