I had an extremely negative experience with this agent at an open house for 174 S Windsor Ave, Brightwaters, NY 11718. When I asked two very standard questions -- 'How old is the roof?' and 'Was there ever any work done to resolve the water issue in the basement?' -- instead of answering, the agent became condescending and said to me: 'You are too cheap. You tried to buy this property for too cheap, but got rejected so now you are here to take apart the house. I have dealt with people like you before. If not in person, then on paper.' For context, this property was originally listed at $1.4M and had dropped multiple times -- to $1.1M, then $899K, then $849K, and finally $799K. I submitted an offer of $750K, which is only 6% below asking and, importantly, represents a price per-square-feet higher than what other comparable homes in the area are selling for. Rather than treat this as a reasonable negotiation, the agent mocked the offer and dismissed me. During the open house itself, the agent escalated further by demanding that we leave the open house immediately, and as I was walking out, he slammed the door behind me. This behavior was insulting, hostile, and unprofessional. An agent's role is to represent the seller while treating prospective buyers with basic respect. Real estate agents are expected to negotiate offers respectfully, regardless of whether they or their client find the offer acceptable. Instead, this agent drove away a serious buyer with rudeness and personal attacks, ultimately working against the seller's best interest. This agent treated us like trash and acted as if our $750K had no value. If you value professionalism, transparency, and respect, I would strongly advise avoiding this agent. read more

I'd leave no stars if I could. This agency does not care a single bit about the neighborhoods in which they work. They ignore phone calls, emails, messages from concerned neighbors. This home has been vacant for over a month. Soiled, rain-soaked mattresses, broken glass, trash, and a mile -high lawn. THE NEIGHBORS HAVE BEEN MOWING THE LAWN because this agency refused to answer calls to do so. The have their signs right next to a pile of mattresses, and even had the gall to add a sign advertising the success of their sale. The majority of their listings are in affluent neighborhoods. Would this type of scenario be expected or accepted in a neighborhood of higher privilege? I wrongly assumed real estate agencies to be devoted to the communities and neighborhoods they work in, but clearly, Netter Real Estate is only interested in the commission they will receive from your home. After nearly a month, I did receive an apology email from the listing agent. An apology? If you're looking to sell or buy, look elsewhere... Netter Real Estate doesn't deserve your business. read more

I recently closed on our home on May 2, 2017. I attended numerous open houses for months to get a sense of what area would be ideal for my family. Most agents were pleasant but as soon as I walked into an open house and met Jeanne DeFrisco, we had a very comfortable connection. She is very knowledgeable about the real estate business and offered suggestions in the house we saw. She contacted us to meet and asked what we were looking for. We proceeded to give her our wish list and she was already on the search. Jeanne came prepared to that first meeting with school listings, upcoming open houses in various areas which our home was one listed. After seeing the house, we knew it was ours. Jeanne got right on to get paperwork going for our offer. She was aggressive but in a very flattering way. I can tell you I hesitate and get nervous at times and I'm guessing she sensed it but she comforted me and said this is your house. Let's go get it. And, we did! I had to go on a week long business trip after our offer was accepted and she was on the phone getting us a home inspector who was detailed and a nice guy before I had to leave. She moved quickly for us and put me in touch with a mortgage guy who was also great. She kept in touch often then we had the waiting game to get a closing date. She made sure things of concern were brought up and addressed. Jeanne is a true professional, knowledgeable, smart and a go-getter. Honestly, I wanted to own a home for so long and when we saw the home we purchased, she encouraged me to move forward (I was really nervous for the process) and she did everything she could to make it happen. I am truly grateful to Jeanne. She also knows all the good places to dine in the area so she's useful that way too. I highly recommend Jeanne DeFrisco of Netter Real Estate. Not a fan. We listed our home and were promised the moon. We asked for their opinion on what would sell our home and a fair assessment. We settled on the pricing and we were off to the races (or so we thought). They started off great and the house had a ton of traffic yet they couldn't convert any of it into a sale. The real rub was when we informed them that we would not continue the listing. Not one phone call, e-mail or anything. I guess they don't want to hear where they fell short. My advice to future homebuyers or if you are thinking about listing would be to align yourselves with someone who is going to go that extra mile. Netter is not that company. They may be a big player in West Islip however they are not the best in providing customer service. Choose wisely. read more

It's all about the money with these people. Whether your buying or renting they will say whatever they have to in order to get the commission. We paid them almost 3 thousand dollars to rent a home they were representing as a brokers fee. Everything they told us about the home was a lie. From the structure and property and even about the landlord who was a psychotic individual. The house itself was illegal, no permits were obtained and completely unsafe, with faulty wiring, hidden black mold, leaky pipes and no proper permit to be inhabited/rented. When we confronted them about this, they hid behind a lawyer and couldn't even give us a straight answer. They claimed they only show it and have zero responsibility or accountability. If it was a few hundred bucks I'd say whatever. But it was 3 thousand! Do yourself a huge favor and steer clear of them, it's just not worth it!!!! To be fair, they do give you a truck to help move for free if you use them. But I would rather eat the few hundred at Budget or Uhaul then deal with all the lies and hidden horrors of any property they have listed. It's just not worth it!!!!!! The 1 star is for the truck or else it would be NO stars. read more
