I've waited a year after the surgery before writing this review. I had lower back repaired by Dr…read more Doorly in Summer 2010 in Salem hospital. I can not even describe how happy I am with results of the surgery. Like any reasonable individual I have some "not so good days" as chronic lower back pain is no fun. I've lived with pain over 4 years and then decided on a surgery. I regret only one thing - I did not do it sooner. I had 5 epidural injections prior to the surgery (different doctor) and when they were wearing out I was back to my everyday pain. After the surgery my condition drastically improved. Dear Dr. Doorly - thank you from the bottom of my heart! You gave me my life back! Read more: http://www.vitals.com/doctor/profile/1346296258/reviews/1346296258#ixzz1ZjZ66YnX

I had a failed back surgery in…read more2013 after 7 years of back pain, which caused further damage to my spine and collapsed discs and pinched nerves. My original surgeon suggested therapy with narcotics and nerve medications, which left my hands shaking and made no impact on my pain. I was unable to sit for more than 5 minutes at a time due to the constant nerve pain down my left leg and buttocks. I was not able to participate in activities with my child due to pain and exhaustion. I could work, come home and lie down. This was not living. Enter Dr. Doorly. He held my hand as I cried in frustration that I needed help. He listened. He was honest and human. His bedside manor is second to none. He said he could not take all of my pain away given my situation, but that he could relieve it by approximately 75%. I had spinal fusion, laminectomy, discectomy and bone grafts with Dr. Doorly May 1, 2014. Within two weeks I was feeling relief, was able to return to work after 6 weeks post op and have been nearly 90% pain free since. I no longer rely on medication for pain relief, and in rare instances, I take an over the counter pain reliever. I am thrilled with my results and progress and I owe it all to Dr. Doorly for taking the time to listen and act on my situation to get me back in a routine again. Thank you Dr. Doorly. You saved me from pain, despair and frustration in a situation where I was hitting all dead ends. You are truly a rare find, a great sense of humor and a master at your craft.

While I have no issues with the care they have provided since being a patient, I cannot say the…read moresame for their front office staff. When I have to "project manage" their staff as one of my projects as part of my day job, taking valuable time out of my business day (for which costs my company money) to have to keep calling every day and making sure their staff performs the most basic of tasks (like actually providing via email and fax ALL of my medical records and related doctor visit notes to an insurance provider (because the insurance provider had provided proof they received nothing from their office)), that is inexcusable. When I have to drive to their office to make sure something which should have been done, and their assistant who felt is "annoyed" that I am interrupting her busy day and talks to me as if I am a nuisance, yeah you can bet I am going to be pissed off. The front office staff are incompetent at best and lazy, unsupportive at worst. Their only value add is scheduling. And also FYI, they look as far from professional as staff can get, with exposed tattoos and nose and lip rings.

So, expect to wait a long time to get a visit, and to waste even more time in the waiting room. I was *still* OK will waiting, as the service was good. Then, I suffered a disabling accident, and things changed. Dr. Golden did not make time to see me anymore, and I was forced to see a "nurse practitioner, who had NO knowledge of my severe injuries and no bedside manner to treat me with the kindness and patience chronic pain requires. She once greeted me with "What's wrong NOW, Lynn?!" I was hospitalized for 2 weeks at MGH, released w/ condition that I see Dr. Golden that week...BUT HE REFUSED, claiming he'd just seen me a month ago & it was unnecessary. Other Yelp reviewers claim Dr. Golden does not spend any time with his patients & all sick visits are with nurse practitioner. THE DEAL: If you have any serious condition, illness or injury, I don't think this is the best Primary Care Doctor choice. He appears to prefer treating colds, flu and mild injuries.

Dr. Soong is fastidious & thorough in everything he does. A talented surgeon. You couldn't do better than Dr. Soong. And he's a complete sweetheart with a wonderful sense of humor. From the moment I arrived it was a pleasure. The woman checking me in remembered me & we had a little chat. The nurse who was getting me ready was absolutely wonderful. The OR nurses, the nurse checking me out. All of the staff provide the highest quality of care. They are professional, kind and personable. Thank you all so much for your kind care of me!

After surgery, my foot was left crooked and I developed a large open wound that was never explained to me. She put a cast over it without telling me anything. When I returned to have the cast changed and finally saw the wound, I almost fainted. No one had warned me about it, and at one point it was close to becoming necrotic. I had to stay in bed for two months because of severe swelling and fluid. Instead of receiving support, I was treated as if I was being dramatic while I was clearly in extreme pain and dealing with serious complications. I later learned that a screw had been placed directly through the middle of my joint, and I ultimately needed another surgery to try to correct the damage. To this day I am still suffering the consequences. I have difficulty walking and constant pain that now affects my legs and back. This surgery took away the active life I once had. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Dr. Lobo at all.
